Its been a while since I checked in. I've been out of town for my early baby shower that mom threw me. I was just catching up on posts...
Jen - congrats on your new addition, welcome little aidan!
Kate - I sure hope Julia is here now, i was reading about your labor posts. I hope she arrived and that you are getting your rest!
Good morning to everyone else.
My shower was great, my mom made this really awesome diaper cake and diaper wreath decorated with a bunch of baby goodies. she also hand painted a noah's ark wood hanging (tat was my original theme). She is so talented, i call her martha stewart. We also decorated a cake, a crybaby lol, and made cupcake rattles. She bought me way too many gifts - lots of cute little outfits, blankets, wash clothes, bath towels, a monitor, a frame and various other thigs like bottles, nipples, teethers, socks, bibs etc. We got a good amount of clothing for the most part and a couple gift cards.
I'l still need to purchase some big ticket items like a changing table, bassinet, and swing so i'm trying to figure out how to go about that.
did you guys get a lot of newborn sized clothing? I think i oly have one or two peices and a handful of 0-3. hard to figure out since they go by pounds and i have no idea how much baby is going to weigh.
my mom also got me some maternity pants - black dress ones and grey dress ones for work, two tops and a pair of maternity jeans. i'm much more comfortable now.
anyway, enough about me, just thought i'd pop in and say hello. all these wonderful new additions!!
