Moms to be-week of Feb 18

shopaholic

Cathlete
Hi all you other mommies and mommies to be. Last week's workouts were good this week started with a rocky start. Sat my dd got the stomache bug then I got it sat night. Still feeling run down. Pregnancywise I am doing ok although waking up with some mild am sickness if I don't go to bed with a very full tummy. I am frustrated at all the vericose veins I now have. Never had then with #2. ok, enough whining, I am doing well.

Workouts:
Sun-tlt-strength in movement plus first half of whfn push/pull
mon-rythymic step
Tues-power hour
Wed-stepfit
Thurs-kpc minus the challenge+bodymax upper and circuit
fri-powermax
sat-bodyfusion+upper ab on and ab add on (first half)+lowmax blasts

Hello ladies, I was able to begin my workouts at the end of the week and I am feeling great. I agree about the veins but I try not to look, I figure I can due an overall assesment at the end of the pregnancy. Hope everyone feels good!!!

my workouts were fine, but i am still missing running
sun - spin class 40 min, bootcamp
mon - low max, 30 min strength
tues - imax 2, c and w step only
weds - 50 min elliptical, musc endurance
thurs - spin 45 min, 30 min strength
fri - imax 2, c and w step only
sat - 60 min elliptical

i am happy with my new dvd (kpc and l and g).
shopaholic - what is the challenge section in kpc? i just got the dvd and did the workout once but don't know that part.

take care all

Mary, I just wish I knew that the veins would disapear.
Morris, I only got 1 cold my first pregnancy. This time I've had the stomach bug twice . I think you get sick more the second time around since the older child brings everything home. I am amazed you still do imax2. Do you modify at all? I realized I did kickmax, not kpc this week but it is too late to edit.

i try not to modify imax 2, but if you saw my ski hop blast, the tuck jumps are not real tucked. also, my plie jacks are just jumping plies. so i can still jump, and i am not sure if i could do those 2 things anyways:) how is kick max?

Here is my week

Sunday - 1 hour High Step Training
Monday - 1 hour LowMax
Wednesday - 30 minutes Imax3/no blasts
Saturday - 40 minutes High Step Challenge (All weights/no cardio)
I had planned on walking on Saturday as well but the track was closed when I got there and it was freezing outside!)

Girl #2 due 6/25/06

Morris, kickmax is good one if you like cathe's kickboxing. 1st sect. is choreographed kickbox moves-good moves but lower in intensity than kpc. sect. 2 is blasts-I love this sect. non pregnant, tons of jumps, sect. 3 has standing legwork that works your legs well. I am still suprised you can jump, my body stopped being able to jump high even the first pregnancy by about the 5th month.

i am not sure how high i go.... i was chuckling to myself this am when i was doing imax 2. i cannot wait to try this non-pregnant. so much fun, but it is hard to get airborne, even just a smidge.

i just splurged on kpc and preordering the new dvd's. looks like they will be delayed for a bit, so i may get kick max. the more dvd's i get though, the more i want to do, and i think my body is going the other way!!

on a fun note, baby is moving wuite a bit more now, and that makes me smile

Hmmm...I haven't done Kickmax in a while - I think I might pull it out now that you guys have given me the kickbox bug!!

Last week I felt great - I pulled out two of my more complex step tapes and had a blast. This week (as will show in the next check-in), I don't have quite as much energy. Maybe it's the unusual warmth we're experiencing. So far, though, no cold or flu (knock on wood!!)

My week:
Sun: rest day
Mon: BSS1 Cardio Sculpt Blaster, Push-Pull
Tues: Kristen Kagen Step this Way II
Wed: 30 min jog, TLT Strength in Movement
Thurs: Seasun Z Rock Steady Step
Fri: 30 min jog, Kathy Smith P:Y Upper Body
Sat: Kathy Smith P:Y Lower Body and Foundations Cardio

All of you have great workouts and are very motivating for me. I'm in my 12th week and thought my morning sickness was going away, but it came back with a vengence yesterday!

lindakh, I felt great last week, too, and this week I haven't worked out yet and it's Wednesday! Hopefully I will motivate today.

shopaholic, what an awesome week of workouts AND you had a stomach bug, too! WOW!

I have KickMax and like it while pregnant since I can do the low impact premixes without having to jump too much. I need to find a better sports bra if I want to continue jumping!

Sun - Cardio & Weights
Mon - Legs & Glutes, Abs
Tues - IMAX 2 Intervals 1-5 premix, C&W Upper premix, Abs
Wed - walk 1 hour
Thur - 2 hour hike
Fri - off
Sat - Kickmax low-impact premix

Have a great week everyone and thanks for the motivation!

Karen
