HI gals,

Im not sure when we normally start a new week but I think I am starting a week early:)

I had a dr's apt yesterday that went rather well, other then the fact that I am stil working and he didn't take me off yet. I only gained 2.5 lbs this time which brings me to a total of 29 lbs:eek: He also said that the baby is head down.He isn't directly in postion yet but he should be there by 35 weeks.I wouldn't think that they are in postion so early!

Anyway, of course no exercise here but I can't wait to get back at it! Those new workouts look awesome!
Have a good weekend everyone. I am working all weekend;(
Lori:)

Lori!! That is great news! I am happy to hear that your appointment went well!! YEAH BABY!!! And, what is this with working this weekend...that cannot be allowed! x(
I cannot wait until we can REALLY workout again, too! Those videos are so incredible - I am soooo excited for them, just to watch. I actually catch myself watching FitTV - no doing the workouts, just watching! Ha ha

Anyway, both my babies are 6.3 pounds EACH!! HOLY %^*&&*^(&&!! I have a scheduled c-section for next Friday - baby A is still breech, so the c-section has to happen.:( Baby B actually flipped, so he is head down, but it doesn't matter. So, this is the last weekend for us to be parent-free...It has not hit me yet.

Have a great rest of the weekend and I will be in touch.

Thats great news! And those are some big babies! You must have been feeding them well.
I don't know if I would want to know when i would be having a baby b/c I don't think i would sleep for the whole week. You must be getting pretty excited though.

I think I will have most of the moves in the new workouts figured out by the time I am allowed to do them.
Must get ready to go to work again! It doesn't really bother me though b/c these are my last night shifts until I finish the end of the month.
Catch ya later,
Lori:)

Hello!
I'm new on the forum, although I've been reading others' postings for quite a while. What a great group of Cathe enthusiasts!

I'm expecting baby #4 in June of '07, and praying for a BOY this time, as I have three girls, ages 7,5 and 19 mos. I exercised thru my last pregnancy and felt so much better than I did with the earlier two, so I'm definitely planning to keep at it thru this one. I've been using Cathe's programs for over a year and really, really love them! I ordered her new DVD's before I knew I was pregnant, so I'm hoping to be able to enjoy them for awhile before the belly gets too big for jumping and such.

Jenni- oh my gosh, those are big babies!! Friday's the day--Congrats!

Hi There! Nice of you to check in with us! I guess you are just finding out that there is another baby on the way? June seems so far away but then again, in March month, Dec seemed really far away. But its creeping up now.
How is your energy? I was useless when I first got pregnant. I couldn't wait for the 12 weeks to pass. And now I am 29 weeks and kinda wonder what happened to the time! LOL

Keep us posted on your progress! And Im sure we will all cross our fingers for a little boy for you!
Lori:)

Hi Lori-
Thanks for the boy vibes sent my way. I'm barely five weeks yet, so I'm feeling no different. WIth baby #3, I was tired and somewhat nauseated, but exercising made me feel so much better during the first trimester and beyond. I was doing "The Firm" tapes and continued to increase my weights throughout my pregnancy. Of course I had to tone down the jumping and such, but did not scale back on weights. I really got "addicted" to exercising, even though I'd been exercising 3-4 times/wk for a couple of years before that. I found my moods, energy level and nausea were all positively effected by daily exercise, even if I had to convince myself to do it at the time!

Is this your first child? Dec will be here before you know it! DO you know if it's a boy or girl?

Jamie

Hi all-

Lori- how exciting for you!! you must be jumping out of your skin in anticipation!!

Jaime- I found out recently that I'm expecting #3 so I can only imagine the feelings with #4!! I did not exercise with #1 and 2 but I'm really trying to keep up with at least some wo this time. I've been really tired si I'm hoping once I'm out of the twelve weeks I'll have some more energy.

Hello to all the other moms and I hope everyone is feeling well!

Hi Mommies!

Lori, so glad to hear you're almost done with the night shift and I'm so happy that your recent doctor's visit went so well. Can't believe we are getting so close!!

Jaime, welcome to the forum and congratulations on #4!! That's wonderful, and I'm sending boy vibes your way also:)

Jenni, oh my gosh, I can't believe how big your twins are, but how great that they are so healthy and you've made it to nearly 37 weeks. That's really good news.

Jean, welcome also and congratulations to you on expecting #3! I am also expecting my 3rd and am so excited!

My workouts were much better last week since I got over my two week long viral infection (mostly bad head cold/cough). Finally, some energy and I'm getting back into it. Tomorrow I start my prenatal fitness class at my local hospital with a friend of mine. Very excited for that. Here's what I was able to do last week (note, at this point in my pregnancy, I'm loving the prenatal dvd's, seems like the perfect pace for me):

Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – Rest Day
Wednesday – D. Austin Fit and Firm Pregnancy (Cardio & Toning- 40min)
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Leisa Hart Fit Mama (Cardio – 20min)
Saturday – Water Aerobics (45 min)
Sunday – Leisa Hart Fit Mama (Cardio-20min) & QuickFix Prenatal (Upper & Lower Body Toning – 20min)

Everyone, have a fantastic week;)
Stacey

Jamie, I don't know what I am having. And this is my 2nd. I sort of think it may be a boy b/c I feel totally different then I did the first time with my daugther. Plus, every old lady I run into, tells me that I am having a boy. Im not sure why but if I end up with a girl there are gonna be a lot of wrong people in this town.
I worked out for a little while first when I got pregnant but I was to afraid of miscarriage so I ended up dropping everything. There was a part of me that knew if I miscarried it wasn't b/c of exercise but then there was another part of me that knew I would blame myself if I did miscarry. We had been trying for 4 yrs so I didn't want to mess anything up. But if you can keep it up, good for you! I can't wait to get back into it. I just played the video clip from the new workouts and they look so good! I can't wait to try them!

Jean, I am getting excited but I am alittle nervous also b/c I know how much this is going to hurt. I am praying for a nice ,fast delivery! And I am hoping to go before my due date...but who doesn't? hahaha

Stacy, good job on the workouts! I wish I had something to report. My Dr asked me on Fri if I were still working out, then he asked if I were walking. And I had to answer no to both of those;( I had to remind him about the nerve in my back that likes to act up when I do any exercise. It will be nice to get my old body back. I know what to expect with that one.

This is my last night shift and only 6 more shifts to go before I am off of work. I say this now but I may end up working a few shifts in Nov. I think the time will pass by faster if I work. I can't beleive its the middle of Oct already! Oh and my baby shower is this weekend comming. Im looking forward to that!

Lori:)

Good morning ladies,

Wow, I am late checking in  !

Here are my workouts from last week:

Sun - Stretch Max Seg #1
Mon - 35 min treadmill walk
Tue - Basic Step
Wed - Muscle Endurance Upper Body Premix
Thu - 30 min treamill walk

I had a Dr.'s appoinment on Friday and everything is well. I gained only gained 4 pounds since my last appoinment :7 , but this brings me to a total of 32 pounds    , but my Dr. is ok with it, so I guess I shouldn't worry about it. I have my next appoinment in 4 weeks and when I will have one every 2 weeks. Wow, time flys!!!

Lori - You are doing great on your weight gain, doesn't it feel nice when it finally slows down.

Jenni - Wow, your twins are big. You must be so excited only until Friday and you will hold them in your arms!!! Good luck and keep us posted!

Jamie - Congratulations!!!! and welcome to the forum.

Stacey - Glad your are feeling better and get to pick up on your workouts again.

I ordered me the Perfect Pregnancy Workout and I should get it either today or tomorrow. Can't wait!

I hope you all have a great week
Kristine :)

I ordered all of the new Cathe workouts. I am due to have baby #3 in Dec. (I'm 31 weeks) and still enjoying Cathe's workouts. I have almost all of her workouts but some (that have alot of jumping) I have to modify but I give it my all. I have had to lower my weight for lunges though. I feel alot of pressure when I do lunges.

Is anyone still doing Cathe's tougher workouts?
Here is what I'm doing this week:
Mon- Pyramid Lower Body, ab segment from Step Blast
Tues- HIIT 20 min on treadmill
Wed- Pyramid Upper Body & ab work
Th- Low Max
Fri- Supersets and 20 min fast walk on treadmill
Sat- Kick, punch and Crunch

Hi!
Kristine, awesome workout week for you! You will really like the Perfect Pregnancy Workout I think, it's a good one. In fact, I think I'll do it one day this week:)

Lori, that is such a bummer about your back pain! Ugh, I had bad back pain down the back of my left leg and buttock for about a month and a half. Luckily, it seems to have eased up, but I know it definitely was difficult to do certain movements while working out. Last week was the first week in a while I felt like I could move normally.

Angela, wow, you are doing some tough workouts, that's great! I'm actually new to Cathe and all I own is her Basic Step workout. I plan on doing the beginner rotation she posted post baby to try and get back in shape (and will buy Low Max and Core Max). Once I feel like I've regained my fitness after having the baby and ready for the next step, I'll move on to some of Cathe's other workouts. I actually asked Cathe last week if there is an intermediate rotation available and she said she'd be happy to write up one once I get to that point.

Ok, have a good week everyone, I'm off to my first Fit for 2 prenatal fitness class at my local hospital tonight. I had to purchase a stability ball for it and am looking forward to learning how to use it. It'll also be nice to have it later on with Cathe's other workouts.

hello moms-to-be,

I got in my requisite 3 workouts a week. I can't wait until I no longer view them as a chore and find them fun again!

I spent yesterday afternoon in the hospital for some monitoring because I passed out at the supermarket. I still have no idea why - my blood pressure, blood work, pulse were all very good. The baby remains nice and active too. I sort of felt a rush of endorphins before it happened which isn't what you would normally expect. Anyway, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

Anyway, I will just be counting down the next 6 weeks and hoping I am prepared for whatever comes. I am now on maternity leave, but have a few things I would like to finish up first from home.

Everyone is doing well it seems, which is good:) Jenni congrats on finding out your twins' bday:)

Take care everyone!

annie

Annie,
I'm so sorry to hear about your fainting episode! I'm just glad that you and the baby are okay. It's probably a good thing you're on maternity leave now, you can take it easy and hopefully don't have anymore passing out episodes. I haven't actually passed out, but had about a month of feeling super faint in the mornings and felt as if I could pass out a couple of times. Luckily that seems to have passed but it was definitely kind of scary.

Have a nice, restful last 6 weeks! How exciting:)

Good Morning Ladies!

How is everyone? Another week almost over. I know its terrible to wish the time away but I can't help it. I totally missed this yr of my life b/c I have been to busy trying to make it zoom by, that I didn't really enjoy it. How weird is that? Anyway...30 week mark aproaching...singlr digit weeks!!!!

Kristine, I am glad the weight gain is finally slowing down! I was afraid it wasn't going to. I am not eating as much now as I did before either. My apetite as slowed down alot! I was starving all the time before so I ate, not thinking I would gain alot of weight b/c I was starving so I thought the food would go to good use. But it obviously got stored somewhere! hahaha. I think thats the most of it now though, I don't think I am going to gain much more and when we start moving into our new house, Im gonna be super busy so I may even lose some weight:eek: :7 WISHFUL THINKING!!!

Stacy, my back pain isn't to bad now. It acts up when I exercise or go for a walk. And it even acts up if I have over did it through out the day. But for the most part it is staying away right now. I am really hoping that I won't have back labor with this baby. I don't know if b/c my back hurts sometimes it could be a sign.

I should go do some work, I suppose. I only have 5 shifts left, then I am off. I can't beleive it! Thats my plan but we aren't moving into the new house until the first week of NOv so I may keep working until then. We will see.

Lori:)
