hi everyone! hope all you first trimesters are hanging in there. it really gets so very very much better. i made it thru my 60 hour w eek and am so glad it is over. i have been so spoiled to just work 35 or so a week this was a real stretch. but i did it and am really happy it is behind me. i think my workouts really helped me thru the day. i typically do cardio in the am and then strength at lunch and that just seems to work for now. we will see. i am 31.5 weeks now and am anticipating having to cut back if i get too tired or uncomfortable.

sun - kpc, boot camp
mon - low amx, strength 30 min
tues - imax 2, cardio and wts step only
weds - kpc
thurs - 45 min spin calss, muscle endur
fri - imax 2, legs and glutes
sat - low max

i ordered step pump jump and step blast. cannot wait to try them!

hello ladies, I dont even know why I am posting my poor excuse for a workout but....I was at the dr.s 3x's last week and if I dont get my am workouts in I loose all of my energy. I cant believe how fast time is flying. It is hard to believe that in a few short weeks I will have a new little boy. Buy the way you both rock with your workouts, I cant wait to work up that good sweat after the baby comes. I have been told to go EASY because of my previous preterm labor and that is frustrating. Oh and my sugar thank God has been great, I have not had one reading over my limit and believe me I have been eating this week.
I tink I may be sensitive to a lot of sugar but in small amounts my body can process it.

mon:basic step.
tues:eek:ff
wed:eek:ff
thurs:eek:ff
fri:imax3 step only
sat:eek:ff
sun:15 minutes treadmill/1/2 hr. upper body

Morris, even with a 60 hour week you still kept up those workouts, WOW!
Mary, give yourself some slack and please keep posting here even if you don't workout. You are smart to listen to the doctor and slow down. Glad your sugars are ok. What is the doctor saying about baby's size now, has he leveled off at all?

I go to the dr. tomorrow but as of last week he was gaining just under 1lb. per week. The thought of having 4 more weeks(I am being induced early) and gaining that much weight per weeks scares me. I am coming to terms with the thought of a csection and I asked my dr. if they could deliver on memorial day weekend to make life a little easier. The fact that I cant really take off from work and Having my ds I think a holiday weekend will ensure that my dh and mom will be with me. I let you know what happens tomorrow.

Looks like everyone is doing great as usual! I felt a little under the weather yesterday, but I think it was a reaction to a long workout I did on Saturday combined with a bit of a junk-food binge - I made guacamole (good for you) and ate it with lots of tortilla chips (not good).

I think the Trolley Run next weekend will be my last walk/jog. Not only do I feel heavy, but I am now getting terrible pressure on my bladder when I jog (even when I wear the belly band). I'm glad I made it to 32 weeks, but after next week I'm walking for the remainder of the pregnancy.

My week:
Sun: Prenatal Yoga
Mon: 30 min walk/jog, Firm Volume 2
Tues: Step This Way 2
Wed: 30 mni walk/jog, Kathy Smith P:Y Upper and Lower Body
Thurs: 1/2 Mindy Mylrea Slammin Sports, 30 Min Shape Cardio
Friday: Tamiliee Weight Loss Workout
Sat: 30 min walk/jog, Muscle Max 51 min premix

Hi Everyone,

This is my first check-in:)!! I thought it might be too soon as we haven't shared the news with many people yet or even had our first ultrasound, but what the heck!

I'm super impressed at how all of you manage to maintain your workout routines through pregnancy. This is my second and I did absolutely nothing during my first pregnancy - HUGE mistake. I am determined to make this a very healthy and fit pregnancy for the baby and my own sanity:p.

Anyhow, here's my workout from last week:

Mon: Kick, Punch, Crunch
Tues: Low Max
Wed: All Step
Thurs: Coremax2 & Stretchmax 2
Fri: Pyramid Lower Body
Sat: OFF
Sun: Pyramid Upper Body

DD born 7/27/02
Baby due 12/24/06

Stepit up, congrats and welcome! You may have a christmas baby!
Linda, great workouts. I am suprised you were able to jog through to 32 weeks.

Doctor gave a good report. 1 1/2 pounds gained in 2 1/2 weeks and baby measures right on track. Next appointment is in 1 1/2 weeks and the internal exams start.

shopaholic, you are so close! do you get any anxieties as you get closer? perhaps with your first? i am definately getting a little more anxious, though mainly so very excited.

mary, you are doing so great - please keep posting. do you have help beyond that holiday weekend? i know recovery from a csection will be tough, but you are so fit, i know you will bounce right back.

linda, you make me miss running so much. i cannot wait to get back into it. but at 32 wks? that is amazing.

stepfit, welcome. is this your first?

I like that the internals tell how dilated you are but remember them feeling uncomfortable and feeling crampy afterwards.
Mary, if I go on time we may share babies birthdates.
Morris, yes, you stil get nervous with the second one. I think I am in denial most of the time but felt teary yesterday when I visited the maternity unit. Can't tell if the tears were fears or joy. I am looking foward to having a waist and seeing that my baby is healthy but not looking foward to the newborn stage. Life is pretty easy with a toddler-she feeds herself and occupies herself and sleeps through the night. A newborn is another story. Although planned, neither hubby or I awaited dd#1's birth with great joy, instead with dread. As a result, we did great with a fussy newborn. In other words it is the anxiety in my opinion that prepares us for the roughness of it. Moms that await the baby's arrival with all joy and are in for a rude awakening. The good news is though, that the newborn stage is shortlived.

Morris, this will be our second baby. My dd will be 4 in July.

Shopaholic, I soooooo know where you are coming from. It's really a breeze having a toddler. Just when you're getting used to having a little freedom - no diapers to change, no bottles to give, sleeping a little later - you're back on the newborn track:eek:. Well, I still have 8 months or so to get my head around it. We're very exciting about having a second, especially for our little one who has been *requesting* a sibling alot lately:+.

Hey you all!
Good job everyone!!
Belly is getting biiiiiiiiiiiger. I can no longer see underneath it, hee hee.

Sun. Chased Hannah!:)
Mon. Lomax mixed with Step Jam
Tues. Lomax mix
Wed. Lomax mix
Thurs. Loma mix
Fri. Lomax mix
Sat. Off (been packing, so I don't really think I ever have a day off) I move on Monday. YEAH!!!

Yesterday I actually did Basic Step cuz my belly was feeling like lead. It actually was fun and a great workout when you are so preg. I think I'm going to do it again today but bump it up to 8 inches. Those of you doing cycle class, good for you, I totally used to cycle 5 times a week. Kick ass class!

Shopaholic, GET EXCITED, not all newborns are fussy but definitly dependent. Hannah wasn't, she was really easy, only cried when hungry. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have gotten prego so fast after, I wanted them super close in age. Her newborn stage was a lot of fun, so it can be that way. I've seen fussy babies so I know what you're talking about, my cousin's is 9 months and he still screeches!! ;-)

I'm totally freaking out about getting your membrane stripped in your last month, that hurt SOOOO BAD! And the contractions! Not ready for that part. Hopefully this labor will be 123, since she came quick (although I had to push for 3 hours cuz her shoulder was STUCK!) But my water broke and I was ready in 1 hour. So I'm a lil nervous I may have #2 in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feel good everybody! 13 more weeks, I start my countdown now:7 :7 :7

well i must say it is reassuring to hear you get nervous too. the labor and the pain part seems like not as big a deal as worrying i won't know how to care for my little boy! i will be able to care for him, but will i do everything just right? i have a few control issues needless to say:) so right now i am focusing on keeping in mind that 1. i will have no control and that is fine 2. i will figure things out as they come up. you know i think i am the only one of this group that doesn't have another child already!

so do you always have to get membranes striped? and, sorry for embarassing question but her goes anyways, has anyone had their water break while in bed? what do you do?

curly, that is amazing you are so fast, even with your first. i hope for that but know my mom had very very long labors so i fear i will be the same!

Morris, I had a slow leak with dd#1 and really thought I was just peeing on myself. Completed my workout even , then called the doctor. I was induced since it was my water and labor hadn't started yet and had my daughter a few hours later. Before you know it , you will posting here about your 2nd pregnancy. I still remember posting here through pregnancy #1.
Curly, I have a great toddler but she was a hard newborn, crying most of the time, up every 2 hours for 1-3 hours and nursing constantly. I believe though , that I made it through that, I can make it through any parenting challenge.

I had my water break while in bed. The funny thing is I was being induced the next morning and I was reading a chapter in my book about why we should not induce labor and at that moment it happened. I jumped out of bed and told my dh "oh my God my water just broke!!!" His reply was are you sure and than the flood gates opened and he believed me. I agree with you about the infant phase. That was the hardest part for me. Oh and on a side note my ds decidied yesterday to sleep in his big boy bed. Ofcourse we just purchased the new crib so we may return it. I am afraid that it may be too close to the birth of the baby and he might want to go back in to it. I guess we will wait and see.

Top of the morning!
Morris, yes my water broke 12:30 am. I was a 6 when I got to the hospital and an 8 in 20 minutes. Thanks god the anesthesiologist got there in time!!!!!!! I was like I'M NOT HAVING THIS BABY WITHOUT AN EPIDURAL. Once he got there it was bliss!

My water broke and my friend said roll up a big bath towel and stick it your pants cuz it'll gush. And she was right. I did exactly what she said and it didn't get in the car or anything. It's so weird cuz you totally feel it happen, it's wild. Now everytime I feel something like that I get scared my water is going to break. Too funny! You only get stripped if you are NOT having a scheduled c section, they do that to get things moving in your last 2 weeks. So if you don't go into labor after the first time they'll do it again!! I only had it once OUCHIE, but I know someone that had to get it done twice!!

Keep me posted:p

HI Girls,

Just wanted introduce myself and ask can I join?:)

I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant.I have one child who is 10 yrs old and DH and I have been trying for 4 yrs now.Last month I had testing done to see if there were any complications with me and I had the test done where they run dye through your tubes to see if you have any blockages. They said that I didn't but something worked b/c 3 weeks later, I am pregnant!
So yesterday was a very exciting day.I have taken so many test over the last 4 yrs that I can't beleive the srick had 2 lines!:)

Anyway...I am a little confused about the working out situation.I did get up early today and do 1/2 of SB and 1/2 of GS legs.I don't want to pack on to much weight but I don't want to risk anything either.I was heavily into running and working out hard and I would really like to stay running, not as far but I still want to do a little bit.But I think I will rest over the weekend and take it easy..
Look forward to talking with you gals over the next 36 weeks!
Lori:)

CONGRATS Lori!!!!!! I have read your posts about TTC and am thrilled to read you are pregnant. Your tubes could have had some mucus in them that the dye cleared. When DH and I were TTC and doing infertility txs, we were told that this happens.

BTW, to calculate your EDD take your LMP - 3 months + 7 days. There are other formulas, but this one is common.

Take care and congrats!
Autumn

congratulations! welcome to the forum. hope you feel better in a few days. as a runner, i can tell you that alone has been the only hard thing with my pregnancy. i ran full on until21 weeks and then stopped all together b/c i found it was hurting my back. i do miss it but am glad my back feels fine. i was on progesterone the first trimester, so i did not worry as m,uch about miscarrying, plus, the running was the only thing that made the nausea go away. i have managed to stay fairly active with cathe dvd's, so that is great. but definately listen to your body and do what feels good and comfortable, both mentally and physically.
