Hey Ladies,

Figured I'd start the new thread this week.:D

How was everyone's New Year's? Mine was a lot of fun. I spent the weekend down in atlantic city with my DH, my mom and her boyfriend. We had a blast! Didn't come home winners :-( but had fun regardless.

How's everyone feeling? Great, I hope. I know I am doing well. I only have one complaint and that is soar hips. They tend to hurt during the night and can keep me up some. I constantly change position trying to alleviate the pain but it doesn't always seem to help. x( I have a doc apptmnt next week so I plan on asking him about this...I have tried using a pillow between my knees coz I have heard this will help reduce pain at night. It seems to help but only for as long as I can manage to keep the pillow there. It always gets misplaced rather quickly so I gave up on that one.

Well, this past week my work outs went as follows:

Sunday: Basic Step, 30 min on Gazelle
Monday: Body Fusion
Tuesday: Body Fusion (step portion only),20 min on Gazelle
Wednesday: Power Max
Thursday: Body Fusion, 15 min on Gazelle
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 100 walking lunges (in a/c hotel room)

I feel very fortunate that I have been able to continue my exercise routine with only some modifications so far. I hoping this will be the case right up to the 8th month--when I think everyone is to stop until after delivery.

Happy New Year to all!:7

Hi Wendy.

I missed last weeks check in because I was at the in-laws and didn't have time to post. We had a great week. My mother-in-law is making a quilt for the baby so we went to pick out fabrics. It was so much fun. We chose purple as the theme color.

Since I was away, I didn't do any videos. I basically just walked. We did some shopping and I walked around the neighborhood. I am feeling pretty good but the baby is really moving now. Nothing painful but sometimes she surprises me with a good kick. Physically I'm doing well but my heart rate gets way up there so I am trying not to push to hard when I exercise.

We've decided on a name. We initially were going to go with Riley but I wanted to do a more unique spelling so we are now thinking about spelling it Rylee.

Hope all is going well with all the moms to be!

Hi Everyone! Wendy, thanks for starting the thread. I know what you mean about the hip pain-I get it too. It doesn't happen every night, though. I also tried the pillow between my knees, but like you said, it would always end up on the floor. I never did mention that to my doc, so tell me what he/she says when you do. I have an appt. on Friday, so maybe I will mention it. But, actually, my number one problem right now is indigestion. Nothing in my diet has changed, but I had a lot of gas, bloating the past few days. Today, it feels a bit better (thank goodness).

Imani, I love the name you picked out. It is adorable! I bet you are excited about the quilt, too. My mom made one for my sister's baby, so I wonder if she will do the same for me.

My husband and I registered last week. It took quite a while, but I think we are pretty much done. I am able to go online and change it, so that makes it very convenient.

Jen V-Was today your first day back at school? It was mine. I got a new student to top it off, but he was good. This week is a crazy week with meetings and appointments, but I'll make it through.

Have a great week!
-Jen:)

Hi everyone!

Imani, I too am feeling my little one move and kick a lot too now. Nothing uncomfortable yet though.

Jen, did you only get a week off school? We get two weeks of holiday, and that's standard here, so I have this week off as well. However, I am working on report card comments for 50 students that will be due in a week and a half. Oh, I am also starting to have some digestion problems- heartburn and acid reflux! Augh! My doc told me what foods to eat in moderation for this, and caffeinated drinks and chocolate topped this list. Guess what was in my diet this holiday season?;-) Now that my eating routine is back to normal, this is getting better.

Here was my workout week:

Tues. Cathe Body Fusion (Step only)
Wed. Cathe Push Pull (Lower body Pre-mix)
Thurs. Cathe Push Pull (Upper body Pre-mix)
Fri. Christi CIA 7002 Hi Low 35 min. (modified of course!)
Sat. Kathy Lift Weights 2 Lower Body

Have a great week!:7

Hi all,

yesterday morning i did kpc.
today when i get home from work i am doing a denise austin tape.
i am trying not to overextend myself until i go to the dr. (thurs) for my first visit and speak to her about continuing to exercise. lucky for me so far i FEEL GOOD!!

Hi everyone!
Wow! I'm impressed with everyone's workouts!

I'm with ya'll on the digestive "issues". I'm gassy, bloated, and have horrible heartburn.
I'm still seeing my MD every 2 weeks for contractions but there's still no change in my cervix (since the effacement several weeks ago). It looks like this baby will make it near term!
Unfortunately, I had a UTI over the holidays from which they cultured Group B Strep so I'm on mega doses of antibiotics now and I need to make sure I get to the hospital early when I deliver so I can get at least 2 doses of IV antibiotics.
On a lighter note: My MD has still OKed very light exercise so at least I'm not sedentary.

Over the past 2 weeks I've done a Prenatal Yoga video and have run through all of the segments of the QuickFix prenantal DVD. I also went walking almost everyday while the kids rode their bikes. Each time I was out for an hour but I didn't go over 2 miles each time.

I hope everyone has a great week!!!
