Hi Everyone! Hopefully, we can keep this post going weekly to just check in and post any ?'s, to keep everyone else motivated by posting workouts we are doing, by providing any tips, etc. answer ?'s, etc.

So far, I have been pretty regular with my exercise this week. I went to the gym (EFX and legs) on Monday night, and did Supersets DVD lastnight. Today, I feel like I am coming down with a nasty cold, so I took it easy. Hopefully, tomorrow, I can take a long walk.

My energy has been good, but this week, everything and mostly everyone are getting on my nerves. This usually doesn't happen, so I am trying my best to keep the same on the outside, and am hoping that this passes (hopefully, it's cause of crazy hormones?).

I hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to reading your posts.

preg. with my first, due 3/31.

Hi Jen!

I too have been off and on a cold. A student arrived in my class Monday with the rash of fifth disease, and so my doctor told me I'm to stay at home until blood tests prove that I'm immune to the virus. A teacher last year had to spend all of her pregnancy away from school, and so I'm preparing myself. Fortunately, my boss is supportive. It takes 2 weeks for me to find out the results. Bonus: While I wait, I have more rest time and more time to work out!

Here's what I did last week, while still at work:

Christi - Still Jumpin' (without the Jumping!!!)
Cathe - L&G
Cathe - Supersets (Upper)
9 Hole Golf - Lots of hills to walk here!

Oh, and I have to tell you all - I had my doctor's appointment yesterday, and my husband and I heard the little one's heartbeat!:7
How amazing is that, to hear a heart beat out of something that is only an inch, or inch and a half long!!! My husband said, "Well, he's boogeying right along there, isn't he?", and I broke out laughing while the doctor was still listening to the heartbeat. Too funny, and sooooo cool. :D

Have a great week everyone!

Hi all! My week was pretty uneventful as far as workouts goes. I'm having mild morning sickness and it totally makes it hard to work out. So I only did a few videos this week. Mostly the 10-15 minute workouts I have like Quick fix and tamilee. I just started my 3rd month so hopefully I'll get over this morning sickness thing and be able to work out more.

Sorry to hear about the colds. I had one a few weeks back. Jen, good luck on the blood test and keep us posted. That is so cool that you heard the heart beat! I can't wait to hear mine.

Stay well,
Imani

Imani,

That's terrific! Whatever time you can comfortably spend on workouts is what you should do. I modify so much now too(length of time, frequency of workouts, moves with impact), even though I'm not going through morning sickness. You're doing great!
:D

Hi Imani and Jen,

Jen-sorry to hear about the student having fifth disease. But, like you said, at least you get some time to rest:) Enjoy! Our nurse has not said anything about anyone having it yet, so I guess I am o.k. A lot of my kids are coming down with nasty colds-I guess that's where I got mine. My principal asked me lastweek if I would consider taking the new extended kindergarten position that will be offered next year. At first I said that I would like to be considered ,but the more I think about it, the more I don't want it. I would have to spend a lot of time this upcoming summer preparing for it. I am going to tell her "no"-don't consider me anymore. I hope she is o.k. with that.

Imani-Way to go with your workouts. When I felt sick, I didn't want to do a thing. I took short walks when I felt like it.

I can't wear any of my normal size pants anymore, but I am still not big enough for maternity. But, at the rate I am growing, it won't be long till they fit comfortably:)

Do either of you have any names picked out?

Take care!

So far, my husband and I like Eric, Brian, and Amy. We still have many months in which to change our minds though!

Jen-I like those names. So far, we have decided on Morgan or Nicole if the baby is a girl, and Andrew if it's a boy. But, you are right...we have plenty of time. My husband was so into picking out names. I wanted to wait, but he wanted to get right on it.

Hi there,
I'm semi-new here (have been a lurker on Cathe's forums for a long time though). I'm now 16weeks and still sick. x(

I used to use Cathe for cardio and JV for strength (with some yoga thrown in for good measure). Now, I can only handle Leslie walks (if that...).

I'm hoping that I'll find motivation here!!!:)

Hi Mich!

If I was sick I wouldn't want to work out either! I think it's great that you're walking. Would going for a walk outside help with the nausea?

Don't be hard on yourself. I found it to be a real blow that I couldn't do Cathe workouts like I used to. I miss the intense cardio!

Hope your morning sickness improves soon, and do feel good that you're able to do something despite the sickness!:7

Hi! Now that my computer is virus free (it kept disconnecting and trying to dial internationally!!!!), I am back.

Welcome, Mich!

I hope everyone is doing well! I had a dr's appt. on Wed. We heard the heartbeat (and heard the baby move-it was like a "bloop-bloop" sound. I go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound and regular appt.

It is picture day today, and of course it is rainy! It rains every picture day. I just got my hair cut lastnight at a place that is very close by. This was the 2nd time I've gone there. I had been going to a great guy who was 1/2 hr. away. I don't think I like the cut. I kind of looks like a mulletx( The problem is that now, I want to go back to my old guy. I swear, it's like breaking up with a boyfriend/girlfriend when you change hairdressers:)

Well, I am off to good ol' work!
