Hi mommies!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was great, I took Thursday and Friday off, because Thursday was my 30th Birthday and I had wonderful time. My husband bought me 30 ballons and a big 3 and a big 0 ballon, it was great. I also got P90X and I can't wait after the baby is here to start doing a P90X rotation.
On Friday we went to see the Nutcracker ballet, which was amazing and on Saturday we had a little party with our friends and some BBQ.

On Friday I had my Dr.'s appointment and my first internal exam. I am 75% effaced and dilated to a one :7 . The baby is very low in my pelvis and engaged. I am really excited because things are starting to move and my Dr. said that I am further along than most first time moms :). I am going back on Thursday.

Here are my workouts from last week:

Sun - off
Mon - off
Tue - 30 min treadmill walk
Wed - off
Thu - 40 min treadmill hill climb
Fri - 30 min treadmill walk
Sat - 30 min treadmill walk

I really tried to get 5 workouts in, but I guess that won't happen until the baby is here, with Christmas and everything, there is just too much to do.

I hope that everyone is doing good, looking forward to hear from you
Kristine :)

Hi everyone!

Wow Kristine! Great news that you are so far along and the baby is engaged. I'm so excited for you:) Both of my kids were born at 38 weeks, so maybe you will have a similar experience. That's so awesome that you were able to get workouts in as far along as you are, it may even be helping to progress things along. Also, happy 30th birthday!

I have my 34 week check up tomorrow and they went ahead and put me on a weekly schedule now (I think because I did deliver my other two early). My next two visits will just be normal ones where I'll be measured and hear the heartbeat, and then at 36 weeks (the week of Christmas) I'll have my first internal exam.

We had a super busy weekend getting the kids' room painted and tonight will move them into their new space and get them all settled. They did spend the last two nights sharing a room and did awesome. I'm so glad we are making this tranisition now rather than right when the baby comes. This coming weekend we'll get the nursery painted and set up. So fun!

I've been feeling pretty good, a bit more tired, and my left ankle is swelling up a lot. Probably just need to sit and elevate my legs more often than I do and I'm drinking tons of water. I have my last prenatal fitness class at the hospital this Wed. and then will just be doing my prenatal dvd's exclusively till the end. Here's what I did last week:

Monday – Fit for 2 Prenatal Class (Cardio & Toning – 45 min)
Tuesday – Rest Day
Wednesday – Fit for 2 Prenatal Class (Cardio & Toning – 45 min)
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – D. Austin Fit & Firm Pregnancy (Cardio & Toning – 40min)
Saturday – L. Hart FitMama(Cardio/Labor Prep/Prenatal Stretch-35min)
Sunday – L. Hart FitMama(Yoga Fat Burn/Labor Prep/Prenatal Stretch-35min)

Have a great week everyone, Kristine, let us know how your doctor's visit goes this week;)

Hi Stacey,

Yes, I am trying to walk a lot, so maybe it'll help things to move more quicker. ;)
I am so anxious to meet my baby girl. It still seems so unreal, I guess until I hold her in my arms.

You are not that far away either!!!

I have a lot of swelling in my ankles too, but I guess that's just those last weeks before the baby gets here. I have a box under my desk here at work, so at least I can elevate my feet a little bit during the day.

Your workouts are still great as well and you even got in 5 workouts last week, I am jealous ;) .

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Kristine :)

Hi Mommies,

Kristine - You really are moving along well for a first time mom. Are you having any contractions at all? Wouldn't that be great if you dilate to 3 cms (or at least enough to get the epidural;-)) without feeling a thing? I'm just under 1 cm and the baby tends to move up and down alot - the Dr. says there's alot of room from the first baby so she doesn't stay put. Some days she is very low and then others she just bops back up. My next Dr. visit isn't until the 20th, but it seems like this may get drawn out a bit. x(

We took my daughter to a light festival at the Bronx Zoo over the weekend and I did tons of walking (which KILLS my back). I hoped it would help speed things up, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyhow, will check in with you all later. Have a great week!

Toodles,
trish

Hi Trish,

No, I am not having any contractions at all. It just feels like a light menstrual cramp sometimes, but that only happens once a day. Yes, going enough to get the epidural and having no pain, sounds great to me ;).

I am so ready to have her. I can't wait to see her and hold her and I am ready to get off work. I won't be returning afterwards and I am just ready to start this new part of my life.

I am trying that walking thing too, but so far no luck either :-( .

Have a great week
Kristine :)

Kristine,

I totally understand..I'm super anxious to see our little girl. I wonder if she will look like her sister and what her personality will be like. We are still struggling with a name;(, but hopefully, we will pick something soon.

When is your last day of work? My last day is Friday (woohoo!!). I'm so excited. I will be headed back in March, but the break will do me good :) It must be very exciting for you...I can't imagine not going to work everyday...but it is a dream of mine;-).

Since you'll be headed back to the Dr. before I will, keep me posted on your progress.

Trish

Trish,

I am sure glad that we are not the only ones that struggle with a name. We got a list of names, but I think we have to see her, before we really know what to name her.

I sure will keep you posted, my next appointment is this Thursday.

Kristine :)

Hi Girls,

How is everyone? I have been MIA b/c the wireless internet here is crap! :-(
Anyway, I had another check up yesterday and I asked the Dr to do an internal and he did. I am progressing but not as much as Kristine. My cervix is softing but the babies head isn't totally engaged. I wanted to start walking but the roads here are very icy so it isn't to safe.
Glad everyone is doing o.k. Most of us are ready fopr the finish line!
Lori:)
