Hi Everyone! What a crazy week lastweek! Between conferences and report cards and trying to keep the house in order, I am surprised I knew my name on Friday afternoon!

Here are my workouts for lastweek:
Monday: KPC 30 minutes
Tues: Leg workout-30 min.
Wed: off
Thurs: 30 min EFX, 15 minute leg workout
Fri: off
Saturday: 2 hours yard work (raking, cutting down bushes, ripping out vines and old plants)
Sunday: 1 hour raking the front yard

So, that is why my back hurts SO bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very stubborn when it comes to resting, but I don't think I will be any more. I can't even begin to describe the back pain. It is definitely a muscle ache (liked I worked it really hard).

Also, I haven't been sleeping at night-was up from 3:00-5:30a.m. I finally fell asleep at 5:30, only to have to wake up at 6:00a.m. Of course, then I was super tired. At least my students were good today.

Jen V., I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound (I think you had said it was soon). I got a call from my dr's office today, and they said I will have to go back 12/10 and get another ultrasound cause they didn't get any cranium or face images cause of the way he was laying-he was facing my back and in a position to come out already!

Can any of you feel your baby move yet?

If anyone has any good tips to get back to sleep in the middle of the night, I would be more than welcome to hear your suggestions. This has been happening quite regulary, and it is so frustrating!

Take care!
-Jen:)

Hello all,

I think I'm going to join in here for the weekly check in. I was going to wait until I was a little further along, but I'm thinking I need the motivation to keep exercise in my schedule. I didn't really keep track of the workouts I did last week, but now I am accountable. I'll have my first ultrasound on Friday to make sure everything is viable. (I'm only 9 weeks) My goal is to continue exercising through out this pregnancy.

Any way, I wish all of you ladies health and happiness during your pregnancies.

Hi Jen and Welcome Lindzebird,

I had a good week last week. The 1st trimester yucks have past and I am feeling like my old self again. I did 2 workouts at curves last week and spent all day saturday walking around the mall getting a head start on holiday shopping. On sunday I did Express Cardio from the Firm BSS3. I had to modify a lot of it but otherwise it was fun.

I haven't felt any baby movements yet but will hopefully start feeling some in the next couple of weeks. I am also not showing at all yet. Although I did go out and get a pair of jeans with the strech band across the top. They are so much more comfortable than my regular jeans. (I got them at Old Navy).

I have my quad screen and monthly doctor's appointment this week. Then I get to go home to MD for the week of Thanksgiving! I can't wait to see all of my family.

Hope you all have a good week,
Imani

Hi everyone!

I made it through two evenings of parent-teacher interviews (I have two classes), and I'm cruisin this week as the stress is now gone!
Ultrasound is next week- Yay! I'm still waiting to feel the baby move- probably in a couple of weeks.

Here's my week:
Sun. Cathe Bodyblast Timesaver Upper Body
Mon. Cathe KPC 30 min.
Thurs. Cathe PP Lower
Fri. Karen Voight Sleek Physique Cardio 15 min.
Sat. Cathe SJP Cardio only 30 min.

I'm so happy to get more workouts in again, even if I have to include short ones that are 15 minutes long!

:p

Have a great week!

The only advice I can think of Jen is to go over what you eat and drink in the evening. Do you work out in the evening too? I find I cannot fall asleep early enough when I work out at night, and I don't have caffeine past afternoon tea time. I like a glass of milk before bed. My grandfather swore that eating a banana at night for a snack helped his sleeping problems.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, Jen. I have bananas here, so I will try that. Lastnight, I slept much better and my back pain is gone too. Wow! Two days of parent meetings:eek:

Imani, I am happy for you that you are back to your old self and that those yucky feelings finally have gone away. You will be feeling those first kicks soon

And, welcome Lindzbird (sp?). YOu will find some great motivation and advice here.
