Good morning ladies,

I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend. Mine sure is always busy with renovating the rest of the house and getting the room for our little baby girl ready. I can't wait til we are finally done with everything. }(

Here are my workouts from last week:

Sun - MIS
Mon - rest (Mondays are always so rough on me and I am just exhausted when I come home from work :-( )
Tue - LM (without blasts)
Wed - GS Chest and Triceps (Timesaver)
Thu - GS Back, Shoulders, Biceps (Timesaver)
Fri - off (had to do my 3 hour glucose tolerance test)
Sat - off (too much work around the house and I had a headache all day :-()

I sure wish I would be able to get 5 workouts in a week instead of 4, but we have to finish up our house for the baby :) .

I am pretty emotional these days, mainly on the weekends, I guess we just have too much stuff going on and it just gets to me sometimes ;) .
Other than that, I am still feeling great, some aches and pains once in a while, but nothing major, I hope it'll stay that way.

My 3 hr. glucose tolerance test on Friday went well, it wasn't bad at all and I had some time to read and hopefully everything is well!!!

I can't believe I am almost in the third trimester.

I hope you are all doing good and that you have a good week
Kristine :)

Hi Kristine and all the moms to be!
Looks like you were able to get some great workouts in despite the craziness with remodeling. I know what you're going through as we're going through a major downstairs remodeling project. Thankfully, it should be completed within the next couple of weeks. Yay!!

I'm also glad to hear that your glucose test went well and that you're so close to the third trimester. That's awesome! Getting close:)

I wish I could say I feel great with this pregnancy, but unfortunately it's not been the easiest. I'm wondering if it is because it's my 3rd. Not sure, but we've decided this will be our last (and feel really good about that decision). I think I might have developed sciatica, my left buttock has been really bothering me (a sharp pain that runs all the way down my leg). It doesn't bother me all the time, just when I move certain ways, and sometimes while walking. I am going to rest up for a few days, see if there is any improvement and I go in for my 24 week check up on Friday so I'll chat with the doctor too. I'm still going to continue to workout, but definitely very low impact and take it easy on my left leg as much as possible.

Anyway, that's my story here. I was able to get in 4 workouts last week, and will try to do 4-5 (leg permitting):

Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – Rest Day
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – Denise Austin Fit and Firm Pregnancy (40 min)
Friday – Leisa Hart FitMama (Cardio section – 20 min)
Saturday – Water Aerobics (45 min)
Sunday – Walk (30 min)

Have a great week everyone!
Stacey

Hi Stacey,

I think I have the same thing, also my left buttock and running all the way down my leg, when I walk or move certain ways. I found though, if I keep my workouts consistant that it is a lot better! Keep me posted what your Dr. says.

I think we can be proud doing 4 workouts a week.

Kristine :)

Hi Ladies,

Sounds like everyone is doing o.k. Once again i haven't been working out but I feel like I should be doing something b/c at my Dr's apt yesterday I had gained another 10 lbs in 5 weeks! I thought it was slowing down! geez...Im gonna have to tape my mouth shut or something. Im really not eating that much and i don't have any swelling so I don't know where its all going.
I thought about running today for 30 mins or even 20 but I have the same problem Stacy noted above. I can't even walk amymore and when i am on my feet for a while it hurts as well. Its a real pain. i was in such good shape before that i thought i would breeze through this pregancy but I guess i was wrong.

Yeah, we are soon going to be in the 3rd trimester. They say that weight gain slows down then...I hope whoever they are is right!

Hi Lori,

Maybe you should just do a walk instead of a run especially if you have problems with you back. I did a little bit of a lite jog last week on my treadmill and man, let me tell, it's hard.

How much have you gained total so far? I have gained 28 pounds at my last appointment last week, oops  ;( x( :-( !!! Oh well, I am not eating too bad either and I don't have barely any swelling, but I guess that's what my body needs to gain.

Kristine :)

Hi Kristine and Lori!

You guys have made me feel so much better just hearing that I'm not the only one who is in a great deal of discomfort! I am going to keep up with the light workouts because it does seem to help me feel a bit better. I think I just get bummed out because I feel like I'm not having the easiest pregnancy. Don't get me wrong, totally thrilled for the baby to get here, just wish that I was feeling a bit better. The good news is that we are all getting closer to the day:)

As far as weight gain goes, I'm right there with you both. I've gained about 22pounds and I'm 24 weeks along. This pattern of weight gain was the same with my first two as well and then it did slow down a lot in the last trimester. I find it weird though, because I don't necessarily feel like I'm overeating, just trying to eat when I feel hungry, but I keep on gaining ;) I'm not too worried about it though because I know I can lose it all afterward and it's really important to gain the weight now.

Well, going to either go for a walk tonight or do one of my prenatal dvds. It's funny, in my first trimester I thought the prenatal dvd's would be too easy, and now they are perfect! I get my heartrate up and feel like I'm doing something for myself without overdoing it.

Take care:)
Stacey

Kristine,

I have gained about 25 lbs so far. And its not that i am upset about gaining 25 lbs but the last 2 x's I have went to the doc i have gained 10 lbs each time, so i am afraid that I have started a pattern!:-( If it were 5 here then 2 there and then 10..I could deal with that, but eveytime I step on the scale, i have 10 lbs on. And to tell you the truth, I didn't even look and see how much I weighed when I got off the scale cause I didn't want to know! LOL
I forgot to tell you guys that I got an awesome 9 peice bedding set for the baby on ebay. Only cost me 55 USD, instead of 200 CAD. Im looking for a new comforter set for DD's room now. I can see how people can get addicted to ebay, i was so excited when I won!

Hi Everyone! I hope you all are having a great week!!
I am still on "bedrest", but I did workout twice this week because I am feeling really good. I just did an easy prenantal workout and push pull.

Lori and others - DO NOT WORRY about the weight gain!! I gained 25 pounds in my first 24 weeks and since then I have only gained 5-6 more pounds (with twins!) My doctor said that when people are in shape the greatest and most important weight gain is during the first trimester. Then, it slows down. It is this time when everything is forming and in your last trimester, the babies are just growing in size...I am expected to only gain about 5-10 more pounds. So, it is a GOOD THING you are gaining so fast now...the baby is getting what she needs! So, good job, mommy-to-be!!:)

I had an appt. today and the babies look great, but both are breech, so I will have to have c-section...something I do not want, but I don't have much of a choice, do I!?!? ha ha So, it is any day now - hopefully they will stay inside for one more week, but if I delivered now, my doctor said he would be happy they made it as far as they did! Yeah!

Well, I am thinking of all of you!! Have a great workout for me!

Hi all mommies to be-

Just saying hello and officially introducing myself (and my growing little one) I'm 38 and this is baby #3. I was actually scheduled to have surgery today to remove my one remaining tube (lots of scar tissue issues- lost the right one a year ago). I went offt he pill in June (due to headaches) and figured my left tube isn't working anyway, it would be a miracle if I conceived. Well, the miracle occured!! We are shocked, thrilled and overwhelmed here at my house.

We actually had to do IVF to conceive my dd (two rounds, blessed the second time) and then 6 months after my dd was born. conceived my ds naturally (again, shocked and thrilled). We then decided that two were perfect and of course, got rid of everything baby.

Anyway, here I am. So excited beyond words- a little freaked out still and just taking it day by day.

I hope you all feel good and I am very impressed by the number of workout you can accomplish!! Way to go!!

Feel good-
Jean

Jenni, youmust be getting pretty excited! Your soon going to meet your two little babies. Do you know what you are having? C-sections aren't uncommon for twins so don't beat yourself up over it.
Thanks for the encouragement on the weight gain subject. Somedays i don't care how much I gain but thats only until i go to the doc and get weighed, Then everything seems to matter! hahaha Im not eating crazy amounts or anything so I really have no control over what i gain.

Jean, how far along are you? My sister had IVF done in Aug and it didn't work for her. I think she is going to try it again next yr. She wants a baby so bad and she deserves to get what she wants. Hopefully it will work for her the second time around.

How is everyone else doing? Its pretty quiet around here. Well....some of us are heading into week 27! I can't wait to hit the 30 week mark. It will seem all downhill from there1

Lori:)
