Good morning ladies,

Unfortunatley, it's already Monday again x( . Anyway I had a really good weekend and the next one is not too far. ;-)

Here are my workouts from last week:

Sun - off
Mon - off
Tue - 40 min treadmill walk
Wed - 30 min treadmill hill climb
Thu - ME Upper Body Premix
Fri - 30 min treadmill hill climb
Sat - off

We are renovating our house and I can't get as much workouts in as I would like to so we get everything done by the time I have my baby shower, which gives us 6 more weeks.
I sure notice though, that I am hurting a lot more when I don't exercise.
Had my glucose screening test on Friday and it really was no big deal at all. I read about how it's going to be and a lot of ladies said that the stuff is really nasty, but I didn't think so. I also got to hear my little girl's heartbeat and I guess she is big enough now that the Dr. doesn't have to look for her anymore like he had to in the beginning :) .
I am sure getting bigger by the day, but it's a wonderful thing and it won't be long until she'll be here. I can't wait. :7

I am almost in the 3rd trimester, wow, that's wild.

I sure hope that everybody is doing good, looking forward to hear from you.

Have a wonderful week
Kristine :)

Hi Kristine and all you mom's to be!

Looks like you had a great workout week despite the renovations. We're also going through a renovation at our house which should be done in a few weeks. Very much looking forward to having my house (and workout space) back!

I also didn't mind the glucose test when I had them with my other kids, and will be doing one for #3 in about 6 weeks I think. I'm 22 weeks now.

My week was pretty good last week, trying to take advantage of the cooler Fall weather and get outside for walks. Feels so good. Here's what I did:

Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – Denise Austin Fit and Firm Pregnancy (40 min)
Wednesday – Walk (30 min)
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Walk (30 min)
Saturday – Water Aerobics (45 min)
Sunday – Walk (30 min)

Have a great week everyone:)

Hi Girls,

Kristine, I hated that glucose test but only b/c I had a super intense one done. I guess sugar showed up in my urine (with my firsr child) and I had to drink that stuff every hour for 3 hours and get blood work done. This one will probably be a breeze though.
Your right, i don't think the doc as to look for these little kids anymore. They are big enough that its not hard to find the heartbeat.

Stacy, you had a good workout week as well. I can't workout right now. I can't even walk...my back gets to bad. So i will have to just enjoy being lazy for the next little while and after the baby is born I will have to kick my workouts into high gear!:)

Anyone else getting nervous? Sometimes I can't wait for the baby to be born so it will be over with..plus I get to see him and her. Then there is another part of me thats a little nervous about how much work and responsiblity i have in front of me. DH is getting more excited while I am getting nervous. Typical for a man;-)

I had a little melt down last week. Don't know if I posted that already or not. I have been really good up to this point and I know that DH has a lot on his plate with work and all. So on Fri I just snapped. I hung up on him and he was home in 2 mins flat. He also hates it when I hang up on him so I didn't know what was gonna happen when he walked through the door. I didn't know if he was gonna be mad or not.Not that I cared.I was ready to ponch!}( hahaha! Anyway, it was all resolved in a matter of minutes.
Just wondering if anyone else as had any melt downs? I know its partly hormonal but I think the fight would have lasted longer if I wasn't preggo. hahaha!
Oh and for all you moms due Dec 30-31...have you measured your waistline? Or where your waist is suppose to be? :7 Im 38 inches around! I have to make a doctor apt for Fri, I am hoping I haven't gained much more weight!

Well, I am finished working (and moving around :( ) out until the babies come...I was in the hospital all weekend for preterm labor...It was awful!! The drugs made me so sick and I felt like I was not on Earth anymore - I didn't even know where I was half the time. Then, I had to get steroid shots for the babies just in case I had to deliver.

So, now I am on bedrest and my doctors hope I can make it one more week (at least) until I deliver. I think the little ones are ready to come out, so everyday is a gift keeping them in...ahhhhhhh

Boy can things change fast...I actually worked out the day I went into PTL...

I will write later to see how you guys are doing! Take care of yourselves!!

Hi everyone!
Lori, I totally get the meltdowns! I had a small nervous breakdown a few weeks ago, completely crying and overly emotional (good ol' hormones). I think I was just tired of feeling big and uncomfortable, hips were hurting, varicose veins bothering me. So, you're definitely not alone:) Just think though, we are getting closer every day.

Jenni, how are you? So sorry about the preterm labor and having to be on bed rest. I imagine that has to be so difficult. It's amazing how much earlier you go into labor with twins. I'm so excited for you, and you'll feel so great once you're little ones are here:)

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

Lori - well, my Dr. called me yesterday and unfortunately I have to do the 3 hour glucose tolerance test x( ;( , the borderline is 140 and mine was 145. I will do the test Friday morning. Hopefully, I'll do better this time ;-) .

I also have meltdowns, one after we went to register at babiesrus, it was just to overwhelming, but my husband is always really sweet and calms me down. Just strange what hormones can do to you ;-) .

I am really anxious for my baby girl to be here. I will stop working, so I am really looking forward to the new challenge. She'll be here before I know it. Especially when the end of October hits for my baby shower, in November I will be doing a lamaze class, breastfeeding class and parenting class. When it's Thanksgiving, December 7th my B-Day, Christmas and here she is. :7

Jenni - So sorry to hear about your preterm labor, but I am sure you are getting really excited to meet your little babies. I am sure everything will work out fine, just keep us posted.

Kristine :)

hi everyone,

I didn't have a great week last week and only got in 2 40 min low impact Cathe cardio workouts. I had a big deadline at work and was working until 10 each night (luckily I could do this from home in the evenings). Now, I am exhausted.

This week has been better so far (in terms of relaxation and exercise), but I am having difficulty sleeping. Is anyone else finding it difficult to sleep through the kicking? I also feel restricted trying to only sleep on my left side. My shoulder ends up aching. and blah to it all - just can't get comfy.

This is my first baby and already I am geting nervous about how well I will cope with incorporating workouts into my daily life once the baby is born. Is it difficult, I wonder? I started working out about 4 yrs ago and found I loved it - worked my way up the fitness ladder so to speak. I miss feeling really fit and healthy! It's hard working out now when you don't see results and feel like your fitness is on the decline. Meltdowns...hmmm..maybe having a mini-anxiety-one as I write...:) I definetly having meltdowns soemtimes too - I started crying looking at car seats the other day.

hmmm, not sure what a glucose tolerance test is - I assume to check for gestational diabetes?...Unfortunately, I don't think they do that in England where I live as I am a little nervous that I could develop it (it runs in the family).

We had a 3d ultrasound on Saturday - it was magical. I also found out I will probably be having a little girl:)

Jenni - I am sorry about your preterm labor too. I hope all goes well with your little ones - please keep us posted!

I hope everyone has a good week this week.

Annie

Kristine, I feel your pain! Lets hope that stuff doesn't taste as bad as it did 11 yrs ago! Ugh, I hated every second of it. It didn't help either that I was only young and lived far away from the hospital so I got dropped off there and picked up 3 hours later, so I couldn't even go anywhere in between. Hopefully, it won't be that bad for you. I wouldn't be surprised if my test is that intense again with my luck.

Annie, I heard that you are suppose to sleep on your left side, but why? I still wake up on my back and its only been the last couple of weeks that its starting to get uncomfortable. And I get woke up with the kicking as well. Its no fun...but thats o.k...we are getting closer to the end each day.Oh...and congrats on the baby girl! I love little girls!

Im at work all day today. Nothing exciting. I can't wait to go on leave. I think I will work until the end of Oct but only b/c of the house we are building. If papers still didn't need to be signed I wouldn't be working, I don't think. I am also starting to find my
back bad.So I am hoping to stick it out until the end of Oct but who knows, maybe I will leave the middle of Oct. I will probably be bored then though...no one of pleasing me! LOL

Alright, I should go and do some work.;(
Lori:)

Hi Ladies,

I'm last to check in probably but hopefuly not least.

First, Jenni I am sorry for your pre-term labor and bedrest. I hear that can be pretty common with twins. I was really hoping to have twins myself because I want two children and it would be great to just get it all done at once.

Hi Lori, I heard you should sleep on your left side because it is best for blood flow. If you sleep or just lay flat on your back the uterus compresses a major artery and slows down your bloodflow.

My workouts last week:

M-off
T-MIS shoulders, biceps, triceps/abs
W-off
Th-30 min. eliptical
F-MM timesaver premix/some abs and lower back

Have a great weekend everyone,

Jeannie

Hi Jeannie,

I know why you can't sleep on your back, I just didn't know why you were suupose to sleep on your left side most of the time, instead of your right. The good Lord only knows where I am going to end up after I fall asleep! LOL

Im just doing some house work and laundry today. Its a sunny day here, to bad my back won't let me go for a walk so I don't know what the rest of my day will be like.
My next Doc apt is on Mon morning, Im interested to see how much weight I have gained. I suspect another 4-5 lbs. That would bring the grand totally to 22 lbs! And 3 monthes to go!
Lori:)
