Good Morning Girls,

How was everyones week? Mine was o.k, not overly productive though. I didn't do anything last weekend, besides for pick out things for the new house, which I am glad is over.
I bet some of you gals got some great workouts in, while I last night, boxed up all of my workout videos. Im not going to use them until after the baby is born so its just as well to get them ready for the move.
We had bit of a sadder weekend. My sister had invitro fertilisation done about 2 weeks ago and she thinks that she started her period on Sat. Its just so heart breaking to know that she is so sad and there isn't anything I can do to help her. She may still be pregnant but she as given up hope. Then there are people out there having kids, who don't want them and then the people who want them can't have them. Makes ya wonder if there really is a God.

Anyway...enough venting. Hope everyone as a good week.

Lori:)

Good morning ladies,

Thanks Lori for starting the thread. I started it earlier and was trying to figure out what workouts I did and closed the wrong window and oops there went everything I had already typed up. Must be that pregnancy brain thing ;-) .

Well, my workouts last week weren't much, for some reason I was just not into it, but that's ok.

Sun - off
Mon - off
Tue - can't remember what I did
Wed - off
Thu - 30 min treadmill hill climb
Fri - 40 min treadmill walk
Sat - off

Sure hope that this week I can eliminate some of the off days :p .

I have my next Dr.'s appointment on Friday for my glucose test. Please tell me that it's really not that bad!

Other than that we trying to get the rest of our house done, so we can start on the baby's room :7 . Well, all I have right now is a crib to move in there.
We went to go register on Friday with Babies'r'us and on Saturday with Target. Wow, it is so overwhelming, so much stuff and a lot of it is pretty expensive. I guess that's why invented baby showers, but I can't see anyone spending 100 dollars for somebody, unless maybe the baby's godparents or relatives, which I don't have many.

Anyway, I still have 4 months to go, to get all the stuff I need. I am getting so excited and can't wait for her to get here!!! :)

Hope everyone has a great week
Kristine :)

Hello all soon-to-be moms:)

I went on vacation this past week. Luckily, the cottage we rented had a dvd player in it so I did Body fusion (without the step) and Cathe's UB with bands for 3 days. I also tried to get some walking along the sea front everyday.

Lori: I am very sorry to hear about your sister. IVF can be a really tough rollercoaster. DH and I were on a waiting list for one free treatment, about 2 months before we would start the cycle, when I suddenly became pregnant. We were told just a few months prior that it was virtually impossible for us to conceive naturally. That was one of the worst things to hear in my life. But, miracles absolutely DO happen. If your sister is not pregnant, I hope that she is able to continue trying at some time when she is ready. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and that their pregnancies are progressing nicely!:)

Annie

Hi everyone:)

Lori, so sorry to hear about your sister also. It is very hard to be going through a healthy pregnancy and have someone close to you having trouble conceiving. My sister has been trying for about 7 months now and I'm trying to keep her spirits up. Then I have a friend who has been trying for over a year now and just had a miscarriage. Getting pregnant really is a miracle that is for sure.

Well, I actually had a good workout week last week, and the increased activity really seems to help alleviate the hip pain I've been having. I've also developed some painful vericose veins which really bothers me (didn't have them with my other two), trying to keep active so they don't get any worse. I started a water aerobics class this past Sat and love it! So low impact and gentle, felt great on my back and joints. Here are my workouts:

Monday – Perfect Pregnancy Workout (Toning – 40 min) & Walk (30 min)
Tuesday – Rest Day
Wednesday – Denise Austin Fit and Firm Pregnancy (40 min)
Thursday – Prevention Walk Your Way Slim (Cardio – 45 min)
Friday – Quick Fix Prenatal Workout (Legs & Arms Toning – 20 min)
Saturday – Water Aerobics (45 min)
Sunday – Walk (30 min)

Hope you all have a great week:) I'm 21 weeks along now, feels good to be at the halfway mark!!

Hi everyone!!

It sounds like everyone is feeling ok! Stacey - great workout week for you!!! About the veins, I heard that most of them go away after giving birth...Just keep elevating as much as you can.

Lori - I am so sorry about your sister. I can certainly relate to her pain. The roller coaster ride infertility puts on people is so painful. Just keep supporting her and listen to her at this time. It took us 2 years to get pregnant after 3 m/c's and many cycles of medication...it is possible!!

Kristine - The glucose test isn't that bad!?!? It made me sick with an instant headrush!! ( I never have that much sugar at one time!!) You what I did??...I went for a walk around the hospital the moment I finished the drink. (the nurse said I could!) I felt like I had to move. So, I walked for the time I had to wait for the blood test. It helped me feel better. And, I passed as I am sure you will, too!!

Well, I have a u/s this week to find out the babies' positions most likely at birth...ahhhhhhhh

My workout last week:
Mon - P90 Chest and Back
Tues - Christy Taylor: Mission Possible step
Weds - P90 Arms
Thurs - off
Fri - P90 Legs
Sat - Basic step
Sun - rest

Take care everyone!!!

Hi Girls,

How is everyone? Better then the weather? Its just terrible here, rain and wind. Just the kind of weather that makes me want to stay in side!
My sister seems to be doing alot better now. She called last night and she talked and talked and talked...to the point that I thought I was going to fall asleep. But I didn't want to tell her I had to go b/c I thought she wanted to talk so I just listened and yawned. She was laughing so she must be doing better. I think it probably helped her when she went back to work yesterday and socialized. its nice to be around people when you are feeling down.

I went for a walk last night and my lower back is killing me.It happened last week as well but I thought I would give it another try, maybe I was just having a bad night.I think its offical...no more walking for me until this baby comes out. I was talking to a massage therapist the other day and she told me that is was a nerve in my back...something to do with everything back ther "widing up";( I guess it is quit common,

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Must go get some lunch for DD.

Chat with you later,
Lori:)

Good morning ladies,

I haven't checked in for a couple of weeks. We received the devastating news two weeks ago that my father has terminal cancer and has only a few months left with us. I am mostly sad that he will not be around for his newest grandchild and that my child will never get to meet the most wonderful man I know. Other than my DH, of course.

We do have some good news though too. We had an intensive ultrasound yesterday which revealed a very healthy, beautiful baby girl. We were even able to get a 3D picture of her so that dad can at least see that.

Through the turmoil I have been able to get in 2 to 3 workouts a week since I last wrote.

You ladies keep inspiring me to work out even when I least feel like it. Thank you.

Jeannie

Hi Lori,

I am glad that your sister is doing better, it must just be so hard! :-(

I had a little bit of back issues in the 1st trimester and now have lower back issues that go all the way down my leg, but it acutally gets better when I exercise. :)

Have a good day
Kristine :)

Hi Jeannie,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad!!! It sure is a wonderful thing that you can do the 3D sonograms now and see how your baby really looks like, at least he got to see her that way. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Congratulation on the baby girl, we are going to have a girl as well!

Just keep up your workouts if you can, I notice that they just make me feel so much better when I do them, but if I don't feel up to them, I take a rest day. Just listen to your body!

Kristine :)

Jeannie -

I am so sorry to hear about your father. That must be so painful. Make sure to take good care of yourself and your little girl inside of you. Hang in there and come and "talk" anytime you need to talk. We are here for you.

Jenni

Jeannie, I am sorry to hear this! This must be so hard for you! My dad is building my house and a couple of weeks ago he fell off of the ladder. After he returned home from the hospital I couldn't beleive how bad he looked and I almost stormed off to my room crying but I kept it under control. I can't imagine if he had landed the wrong way b/c he could have died. This is the closet I have ever came to a family member getting hurt...I can't imagine what you must be going through.

Kristine, thats what my bad back is like. The pain just shoots right down my leg. It is alot better today though. No limping around. I spent all day limping around the house yesterday and my dinner time by dog was limping around! hahaha I don't know how he could have hurt himself, it was raining all day and he wouldn't go outside!

25 weeks in 2 more days. And in 2 more weeks we will be in the 3rd trimester. They say the weight gain slows down then...we will see about that.
My boobs are hurting again so I really hope that they are getting bigger. Im already up to a D cup! They will soon be so big that they baby won't be able to suck on the anyway! hahaha

Have a good day everyone,I am working all day but tonight I am going to a friends house for chocolate fondue!

Jeannie, I am sorry to hear about your dad. I can't imagine the emotions you must be experiencing from both the pregnancy and his illness. That's a lot to deal with. I will be having the 3d scan done this Saturday and am really looking forward to the experience as well:) Keep up the good work despite all the stress in your life. It's laudable that you manage 2-3 workouts a week under the circumstance.

Lori: I'm 29 weeks now and my weight gain has slowed down significantly (thank god) I only put on 1/2 pound the last 3 weeks, but my belly continues to grow.

Just popping in to suggest something. When my back or hips hurt I have been using a rice bag that has been sitting in the freezer on the area. It seems to be helping me with the pain. I didn't do it with my first two kids, but this time around I tried it and it seems to have helped. Just a suggestion..maybe it will help relieve those of you suffering with back/hip/leg pain.

Lindzebird

Thanks for the great suggestion to relieve hip pain! I'm going to try it for sure, I was up nearly every hour last night my hips hurt so badly, and today I'm moving really slow because they're bothering me so much. I've found being active seems to alleviate some of the pain to, and yesterday didn't do anything cause I was so darn tired. I'm going to try your suggestion and work out today.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words concerning my father. I never thought I would have to go through this at a time that should be so joyous.

On a side note, what are you all doing for ab work. I would like to stay a little challenged but safe, however I am running out of ideas that don't involve lying flat on my back.
