Cathlete
hello everyone. hope you are all feeling great and enjoying this time!

mary and heather, this must be your week! with shopaholic delivered, who will be next? heather, i am sorry you are so uncomfortable. hopefully the dr will have news tomorrow. mary, how are you?

curly, you posts always bring a smile to my face - so very upbeat i can imagine your smiles as you write.

hope you other gals are starting to feel better or having moments of it at least. it will be better soon.

i am so excited today. my dh is on his way home! i was really getting so down and frustrated. but, nothing like good news to send a person into a working frenzy. i have cleaned and washed everything twice noe, including my poor dog! meanwhile, my belly is growing. very excited for the us this week on weds. i also think he is getting lower. no extreme pressure, but today while doing boot camp, i felt something much lower than last week. i think some of my workouts will change in the next week or 2!

sun - kpc, boot camp
mon - low max, strtenth work 30 min
tues - imax 2, cardio and weights step only
weds - step blast, muscle endurance
thurs - spin class, 30 min strength
fri - imax 2 legs and glutes
sat - low max

i cannot wait to start running again. soon enough, but i am getting tired of my routine!

take care and have a great week.

Hey all mommies- I finally went to the hospital b/c I was leaking some fluid. They checked me out and I am dilated to 2, baby is stationed at -3. The nurse midwife checked the fluid I was leaking and said she couldn't tell what it was that she's been a midwife for 10 1/2 yrs and hadn't seen anything like it- amniotic fluid is supposed to form fern-like shapes on the slides under the microscope but whatever fluid I was leaking was forming snowflake like shapes????? Anyway, I came back home but if the contractions start again, keep leaking fluid, or have any bloody show I have to go straight back. So soon hopefully! I am so glad b/c I am ready to get back to my regular workouts! THe contractions have made it hard this week!
Sunday- legs &glutes; bike 1 hr
monday-off
tuesday-walk 45 minutes
wednesday-walk 45 minutes
thursday-walk 45 minutes
friday-walk 45 minutes
saturday-walk 35 minutes;walk 45 minutes
I told ya'll I was going to walk a LOT!Get this baby going!!!:D
Heather

Heather, sending labor waves your way. Hope those contractions increase and that little one comes soon. Try some squats and lunges, I swear they helped my 2 come out quicker.

Heather, you're getting so close!! Hang in there!

My belly has gotten *huge* over the past two weeks - my husband and I are shocked when we look at my weekly "progress" photos. I am having trouble eating since I have this constant stretched feeling in my abs that only gets worse after a meal. Luckily I only have 4 1/2 weeks to go before mini-man arrives!

My workouts felt good this week...
Sun: Prenatal Yoga
Mon: 30 minute walk, Step Blast
Tues: CIA Whole-Body Cardio (Sharon Twombley)
Wed: 30 min walk, CIA Bosu Blast (on the step), Prenatal Yoga
Thurs: Prenatal Yoga
Fri: 30 min walk, CIA Bosu Blast
Sat: Work all day at Grandpa's estate auction

I hope everyone else had a good week!

I only worked out 3 times this week. I walked on Saturday and that was very uncomfortable for me. I tried to walk fast enought to get my heart rate up but it hurt my back my belly and my shins! I don't know why I can pretty easily do LowMax but can't walk!

Monday - 30 Minutes Tae Bo Extreme
Tuesday - 40 minutes Legs
Saturday - Walk 2 miles

Sleeping is my biggest problem these days. I go 2-3 nights with not sleeping well then I have a night where I sleep very well. In fact I had one of those nights on Friday. My poor daughter got up at 5am and was throwing up. My husband took care of her and it didn't even wake me. That never happens!

We will finish the baby's room this weekend. I got all the clothes washed and put away, we just need to clean the carpet and put up the crib. Will finish packing my bag this week.

Linda,

Looks like you and are due around the same time. What is your exact due date?

Mine is June 25th.

Rachel

girl #2 due 6/25/06

HI sweethearts!!

Morris, you gave me tears, that was so sweet, I'm so glad I make you smile. Is your DH okay? I don't totally know the whole story but my prayers are with you!!!!

Chichi, you are sooooooo going in soon, have your DH or good friend rub your legs and feet with 100% peppermint oil, you'll go that night I swear!

Rachel, I know how you feel, walking in the end is very tough for me, yet I can do the elliptical or whatever else no problem.

My peanut has gotten very low everyone and I'm not due til July 25th, I have a feeling it'll be much sooner especially since they changed my due date and added 10 days. There's no way. They did that with Hannah too. They added 11 days and she came 6 days earlier than that!!!! There are days now I swear I'm effaced!!! LOL!

Mon. 30 min. Elliptical
Tues. Lo Max
Wed. Lo Max
Thurs. Lo Max
Fri. Off
Sat. Off

Like I've said before even though I'm off I"m not. Hannah is still holding my fingers when she wants to walk ( a lot) and she loves to go up and down the stairs!!! I think I workout round the clock and trust me I sleep WELL at night. I'm pooped by then!!!!!!!!!!

Feel good everyone and happy workouts:7

Hello fit mommies!!!

Well, my working out wasn't too good last week, but I do what I can.

Sun - 40 min. walk on treadmill
Mon - off
Tue - off
Wed - off
Thu - off
Fri - 40 min. hill climb on treadmill
Sat - Power Hour

I felt pretty good during the week, but on the weekend it always catches up to me and I have trouble to decide what to eat because I am nauseous and I am extremely tired. 2nd trimester, where are you??? }(

Morris - I am so happy for you that your DH is coming home!!!

chichilarees - Keep on walking hopefully your baby will arrive soon!

Linda - 4 1/2 weeks, I am sure they will fly by and you will be holding your little man before you know it.

Rachel - Wow, you are so close as well, how exciting.

CurlyQtee - I sure hope your baby will come sooner rather than later.

I hope you all have a great week
Kristine :)

Rachel - My due date is June 23. I think Morris is also around the 22 or 23...maybe we'll have "triplets"!

I *must* pack my bag this weekend. I haven't even bought (nor do I own) pjs to wear at the hospital yet. Nor do I have a baby take-home outfit picked out. Ugh!!

Hey everyone- had a doc appt yesterday afternoon- still dilated to 2, about 50% effaced, babys head is at about -3. Doc says he's guessing sometime in the next week? Until then I will continue with the Evening Primrose Oil Tablets and keep walking!!! I am so ready for this baby to be here! Don't remember being this impatient w/son #1! But I didn't have the contractions or lightening or anything w/him either!
Anyhow, hope you are all doing well! Glad to hear everyones good news (morris) and glad that we are all closer!!!!!!:D
Heather

closer is the operative word, heather. i will take it though. after today, i need anylittle bit. i think i spent more time crawling around on the floor than upright today. my back hurts. and rachel, i am right there with you missing sleep. tonight better be a good night, b/c the last 2 have been full of cramps - wakes me up at night. anyone know what those might be?

can't wqait for the ultrasound tomorrow. hope my guy is getting big and strong (but not too strong).

mary, you doing okay?

Morris, has the doc checked you internally yet? I wonder if you are going early. I started getting crampy the days before I delivered. You may also be getting crampy from tummy not digesting food well due to the pressure from the baby. How was the ultrasound ?
Mary/ Heather- I almost feel guilty for going so easily and quickly and hearing you both suffering. Of course, you too are probably carrying babies way bigger than my 6 pounder!

thanks for aasking shopaholic. actually the ultrasound was not so great. not terrible. my little guy was moving lots, heart head and thigh bones all measure fine, and i have plenty of fluid. also, we saw him trying to breathe, which is something they like to see. the worrisome part is the fact that he measured almost 5lbs, but his percentile was 12; at our last ultrasound it was 49th percentile. so i am a bit concerned his growth is slowing. they are going to track me weekly now to make sure nothing changes such as a lessening of fluid, etc.... the ultrasonographer urged me not to worry, said they would watch and i should not be alarmed. he looked good and healthy and active. but i am wondering why he is not growing so much. i will check in =with my dr tomorrow and see if she has any thoughts or concerns. i have not been checked internally yet; they will do that next friday (june 2nd).

don't feel guilty for going so fast and easy. we are all so happy for you. i hope you are enjoying every minute with ashley.

sorry for such a long post, but if anyone has any input, i'd be interested in hearing it. thanks

I really wonder if you are going early. I didn't get measured for percentile on an ultrasound but with both pregnancies, baby's growth slowed at the end. Perhaps, for some reason, baby will stay at 5 lbs something. It is small but still a healthy weight. Remember at 38 weeks, Ashley came out at only 6 lbs 3 ounces. If I recall you are not petite, but perhaps your birth canal is and your body knows it needs you have to have a smaller baby. Just my guess though, your ob will be able to give you more accurate info. I wouldn't worry!

thanks for the kind and reassuiring words. i have been all over the place emotionally. but you are probably right. i will call my doc today just to check. but i am only 5 ft 2, and while i am not tiny tiny, i am not a big person, nor is my husband. everything on the ultrasound otherwise looked fine. i guess it is just natural to worry , especially at this stage when i just want him where i can put my arms around him and care for him. and truthfully i would be thrilled to go a bit early as my vericose veins are just increasing - yuck! otherwise feel great though.

Morris, it is natural to worry especially with your first. If you are 5 foot 2 and your hubby is not big, chances are your baby will be small. When vna weighed Ashley at 3 days old, she weighed 5 lbs 14 ounces. She is small, but not unhealthy. Hopefully you can push out a small baby as quickly as I did. As I probably said, both my girls arrived small and 2 weeks early and popped right out. I also wanted to let you know my vericose veins have dramaticaly decreased/faded since giving birth. Lastly, if your baby is predicted to be small, you may want to invest in premie or Newborn clothes( 5-8 pounds) even Ashley is too small for 0-3 month clothes.

I second what morris said- no reason for you to feel guilty! I wish everyone could have an easy birthing experience!!!! I am in high spirits, just more anxious than anything! I have actually gotten so used to the contractions coming and going that I think I will be shocked when the real thing actually happens! The evening primrose oil tablets make my contractions start every night and they last for about 2-3 hours (sometimes more) and I guess its doing its job of thinning and ripening the cervix. Doc says he guesses sometime in the next week!
Morris, I wouldn't worry either, if the doc isn't concerned you shouldn't be. If you and your husband are both smaller (shorter) its not unusual for your baby to be as well. I am 5'7 and DH is 6'4 so my doc was not surprised when my ds #1 came out at almost 10 lbs! We are hoping HOPING HOPING for a smaller baby this time but at appt on monday doc said this baby has a big head too! We'll see! Anyway, sending good thoughts and prayers your way!
Heather

well i feel lots better just from hearing what you guys, needless to say. thanks so very very much for the support.

heather, i cannot believe you have not gone yet! mary must have? i haven't heard from her for a few days. i will be thinking of you. perhaps tonight will be the night.

shopaholic, that is great about the veins. mine are expanding at this moment! nice to think of them disappearing.
