Hello Ladies!

For those of you trapped in the winter wonderland-be happy that you have a GREAT excuse not to break your back shoveling lol, and for those who have escaped it, LUCK YOU!:p

I'm in Jersey on the central coast line...gotta have atleast a foot here. It's crazy!

Here's my week in review:

Thur: Basic Step

Fri: Gazelle-30 min.

Hope everyone is feeling good and for those of you who have not done it yet--get those belly pics posted!:+

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

It sure does make me happy to be able to post here every week :) What a difference geography makes. We got the same amount of snow last week that you're getting now, but nobody thought twice about it. It certainly wasn't a newsworthy event LOL! But, it's par for the course for us, so our city and lifestyles have been built to deal with it better, I suspect. I love my 4x4, I tell you!

My week in review:

MON- IMAX2 (modified); CTX Chest; LL abs
TUES- CardioKicks/Leaner Legs homemade circuit workout; CTX Back
WEDS- Step Heat; CTX Shoulders
THURS- SB/SJP Premix #4; CTX Biceps & Triceps
FRI- Rhythmic Step; All-Step abs
SAT- SJP Step; Muscle Endurance

So far I'm just modifying to keep the intensity levels, and my heart rate, in a non-anaerobic range. I've certainly started feeling more fatigued, and my blood sugars are starting to go loopy. I'm going to have to start drinking a smoothie before my workouts, to help with my stamina, and hopefully prevent the mid-morning blood sugar drops I have suddenly started experiencing.

Given how quickly I suddenly went from feeling terrific, to feeling completely wrung out, it's very difficult to plan this week's workouts. I'm not sure what is going to feel like too much. I guess I'll just have to play it by ear and always have an easier Plan B for the day, if my Plan A feels like overload.

So you've mastered Power Max, hey? Good for you, Wendy! Are you doing the 360 hamstring-turns in the third combo, or modifying them? They're tricky even when your balance is normal!

Have a good week!
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

I have actually been able to do the ham string turns fine so far. I am really surprising myself! I keep almost all of the impact out of it...but I haven't lost my balance at all yet!:)

I remember the first couple of months of pregnancy...I was sooo incredibly drained 24/7. :-( TIRED like you could not believe! I had to FORCE myself to exercise just every other day! It was horrible! I was napping every day, getting atleast 8 hours of sleep and night and STILL was exhausted! It DID pass though...although now I seem to be slowly getting back to that tired phase...though not nearly as drastic (not yet, anyway). I can still function like a human being so far...lol!

Have a great work out!

Hi, Everyone! Here are my workouts from last week:

Mon: Fit Mama-30 min.
Tues: KPC-30 min, just cardio cond. part
Wed: off
Thurs: Fit Mama-30 min.
Fri: Off
Sat: KPC-30 min.
Sun: I am getting ready to Fit Mama yoga and stretch part of DVD

Unfortunately, that round ligament pain struck again (although it's not consistent). I live in PA, and we did get snow, and yes, I was glad to not have to take part in shoveling duties:)

Everything else is going well, but I am more tired than usual. I am trying to get some things organized at work, and also at home, so maybe that's why. It could also be because my due date is drawing near (3/31).

I hope everyone has a great week. I don't have a digital camera, or else I would post my belly picture. I should be getting one soon, however.

Good morning Ladies!

Wendy – Wow, a foot of snow! Be careful getting around in it. We only received about an inch. DS absolutely loved playing in it. He loved trying to throw snowballs at our dog, Sadie, and the moon. LOL. Anyway, your workouts look great. I hope to keep up with my exercising like you are.

Sandra – Your workouts look great too. I wish I could report mine have been that great. My energy is totally gone and my eating well has went out the door. Nothing sounds good unless it is junk food. Hopefully I can try to eat some good stuff instead of junk all the time.

Jen – Sorry to hear about your round ligament pain. Try to rest up.

Here are my workouts from last week -

Monday - Total Body Quick Fix - 3 10 minute sections from each: Arms, Legs, & Abs.
Tuesday - Reebok Aerostep
Wednesday - my own total body workout - 2 sets of 12 reps with mod-heavy weight for upper body & 2 sets of 25 reps with mod-heavy weight for lower body.
Thursday – begin my treadmill workout by wanting to jog 2 miles, but fatigue set in really quickly so I had to settle for walking for 21 minutes (1.54 miles). I just could not do anymore.
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday – Off (I hang my head in shame!)

With this pregnancy I am so exhausted. I can barely workout 10 minutes without my legs turning to lead. Also I have started to experience waves of nausea, must be morning sickness setting in. I never had it with DS. Maybe this one is a girl. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Part of the reason for my tiredness is I think DS & myself are coming down with a cold. My throat is really scratchy and DS has this nagging cough. DS was up for about 2 hours Sunday between 2-4 a.m. With the weather being so cold and dry it has made his skin really dry and itchy. I kept putting lotion on his back and belly so he could actually sleep. The lotion didn’t do anything, but I finally put some baby oil gel on him and it worked like a charm. Needless to say DS and I took a nap together yesterday afternoon.

Sorry, no belly shots to share right now. I’m with you Sandra on feeling bloated and not maternal.

Well, here’s to another week. Hopefully, it will be better exercise wise than the end of this past week. Thanks for letting me join you all. It really means a lot to me to hear your stories and experiences and know I am not alone.

Best wishes for a terrific week!
Kristi

Hi everyone~
I did a whole lot of nothing in the exercise dept last week...x(

My oldest turned 9 on Sunday... I can't believe how big he is!! My youngest will be 7 in about 6 weeks. I'm starting to get very stressed out about this baby... L&D and having a newborn seem so long ago... How will I ever remember what to do? Yikes!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Ladies!

I just found out some wonderful news!! DH's work is paying for their General Managers and spouses to go on a Bahama cruise. DH is not a GM, however, since he is the Director of IT and will be working closely with these people we are invited. It is not a very long cruise. I think we would fly out on a Thursday and come back either that Monday or Tuesday. In any case I am very excited. Who wouldn't be with a free trip? DH and I have never been to the Bahamas and probably never would have went because DH is not a beach or sun person. He is very hot natured. Another great thing is DH will be turning 30 while we are onboard the ship. I don't think I could ever top that as a birthday present.

My only dilema is what will I be able to still wear at that time. I'm hoping some of my shorts will still fit me but by then I will 13 weeks along and I don't know if I will be showing yet. Also, I will need something dressy to wear to the captain's dinner. I'm hoping I won't have to buy anything because I don't know if I will be showing yet and I might feel awkward wearing a maternity dress. Am I being weird? Any suggestions?

Well, I've gotta get back to work.

Hi Kristi!

What a wonderful surprise for you!:)

13 weeks is about 3 months...you may or may not be showing by then...it varies person to person...I wasn't really SHOWING by then but my waist DID thicken up before my belly popped out so my clothes were getting tighter on me by then...you really will probably have to wait until a week or 2 before the trip to assess the situation as far as your clothes go.

There are plenty of maternity outfits that are dressy that don't LOOK maternity. I had to buy one for New Year's Eve. I went to Motherhood, and they had really cute, fashionable stuff at reasonable prices...you might also get away with just a larger size that early on if you find what you already own to be too snug.

Have a great work out!

~Wendy~
