Moms of toddlers-check in

shopaholic

As we start to go to 3rd birthday parties I thought it was time to check in with all of DD's internet friends. All moms of toddlers you are welcome here!

Its hard to believe that Bardric, Max and Alexis will be 3 the end of the summer! Alexis is still talking up a storm. She went through a growth spurt and almost fits in her 2t clothes now. She loves her baby sister and keeps saying"my baby". I am trying to take her places with just the baby's stroller but we are not doing well. Yesterday at the mall, she decided to try on sandals at babygap, and then grabbed skirts and tops to take to the fitting room at children's place. Yes , she is a true shopaholic already!

I have 6 pounds to lose from 2nd pregnancy but at least 2 pounds must be my nursing boobs.

Hi, shopaholic! I hardly get online lately. I just found a moment here and I noticed your post. I can't believe Alexis is still so small! I am glad that your little ones are getting on well. Max is well too. He is starting to talk finally in the past couple of months. He likes his baby sister a lot of the time, but I can't say all of the time. I must say I am more tired than when I was in college. But, they are really fun and do play together. I am learning to balance them and taking care of house and meals, but it is challenging.

Good job on your weight loss! I have been eating really well this year and am pleased with the results. I don't workout as often as I would like, but I am finally getting routines such that I at least do 3-4 workouts per week. I have purchased some fun new workouts that have motivated me to try harder to fit a workout into my day.

So, Alexis is a shopper too... is she a bargain shopper or does she have expensive tastes???

Max is climbing all over me! Time is a luxury these days. I hope to keep in touch with you and hope the others pop in periodically.

Hi Emy & Elyse! Nice to hear from you guys. Aren't our toddlers awesome? We've been thinking about #4, then there are days we can barely get through the day we're in.

Justin FINALLY climbed out of his crib! Can you believe it, 2 1/2 years in the crib. I have to say, it was a joy. We were all set to give Jadon a crib (he sleeps with us & a port-a-crib), but Justin's crib fell apart when we tried to get it out of his room. I was so sad, as I waited SEVEN months for Justin to outgrow it so I could pass it on to Jadon. :( My boss gave me his from his grandchildren who have outgrown his. So, now, FINALLY he has a crib. If we could just get him to sleep in it...

DH is still stay at home Dad, he's great, but his health could be better. We've been seeing specialists trying to get things worked out. I know life would be much easier with a healthy Dad/DH. Please keep us in your prayers.

Justin's diet isn't too good. He's actually a sugar junkie. He cries for snacks all day long. I"m contemplating putting him on a carb fast to get rid of his cravings & initiate a healthier diet. He's doing good in his toddler bed, he's so cute when he wakes up and walks down to our bedroom. He yells "Hi!" really excited like and has a huge grin on his face. I still melt at that smile! The other day he climbed into our bed & gave me a bunch of Eskimo kisses while I was sleeping. Too cute!

Jusin's also on the brink of being potty trained. Whenever I put him on the toliet he goes pee, then we do the pottie dance together. I think it should go smoothly once we decide to really get into it. :)

Challenges? He doesn't like his baby brother to have any toys. He will rip them out of his hand, "MINE!". He also likes to throw things. He's easy to discipline, time outs & gets sent to his room.

As far as exercises go, lots of running right now. I don't think I could do vids with the two kids not sleeping at same time. Thank God for jogging strollers!

Gotta go! Nice to hear from you, where are all the other toddler mommies?!?!??!
