Moms of active toddler thread

Hi everyone,
You ladies are all talk, no action in starting a toddler thread! Preggowise I am doing ok, more weight gain this time and vericose veins but I seem to still have the energy to keep up with Alexis most the time.
Last week though, I thought she was kidnapped . She ended up out of my sight in babygap. I found her in the bathroom. She did say she wanted her diaper changed before she went into the bathroom. She is talking more and more and is still in love with Barney. She is getting taller and has almost outgrown her 18 month clothes.(ok, so she is 2.5 years old). She loves sitting on her potty dressed but shows no interest in potty training. She is not thrilled by the idea of a younger sibling. So how are all her internet friends?

Well lets see ... if I even mention the name baby brother he runs out of the room screaming NO!!!Potty trainging is not even a thought until the baby comes. The other day Jake was running around naked which I told him to tell me if he wanted to go potty and he did, followed by put my diaper back on please. I am now trying to get him to sleep in his new big boy car bed but that is not going well either. Other than that I love the 2's.

Ok i don't have a toddler yet, still in the infant stage, but I had to say Mary your story was really funny! I got a kick out of it!

You have your hands full! And I thought I had my hands full with a 4 month old!

Mary,
DD and I read a book about potty training. The last page says don't you want to be a big girl too. DD replied, NO! I have no plans of moving her out of her crib.

Thanks shopaholic...you're right!!!!! (all talk no action!!)

I have no plans to move Noah out of his crib either. All that worry about him falling out, but he still hasn't...and I'm thankful.:7 :7 :7 . He's really into getting undressed now. I need to get him potty trained while the mood is hitting him and his clothes are off. (of course to Noah this is the equivalent to my "I think I'll do LL today" mood, it is a quick fleeting thought that quickly turns into "I'd rather do HSC..... or pee on the floor for that matter, than do LL!:7 :7 :7 ).

I'm not sure why, but we have never had the "I don't want a baby brother/sister" thing happen. I guess after 6, they know it doesn't matter what they think..it obviously hasn't stopped the others from coming:7 :7 :7 . Actually "not liking a brother and sister is just plain and simple not an option here". I'm thankful that they love being together. You guys all still have very little ones, just wait until they start to play and enjoy each other...it's so fun to see this happen!!

I am just SURE Alexis will turn into the BEST little "mom" once baby is here Shopa. Keep telling her what a GREAT sister she will be!! She'll turn into one!!

Workouts...I'm trying to break the exercise slump. Did Muscle Max yesterday and Power Hour today. Emy...want to develop some kind of plan to stick to this????? I'm anxious for the new workouts to add a blast of fresh air into my workout world!! Can't wait.

Briee (I can't even remember paying for those workouts, it's been so long!! Poor Cathe..I can't imagine having injuries and filming the new workouts - we have to pray for her!!)

Hi Ladies--

Shopaholic--Bardric shows no sign of potty training either, although when he is poopy he says, "poopy! ah poopy". I think we'll wait for the summertime when he can run around noody noody outside:7.

Bardric really does not talk yet, just a few words here and there although once in a blue moon a complete sentence will come out of his mouth which always freaks me out because I'm not used to it. A couple of examples: "I poke the baby." and " Mama. MOM! What are you doing?" It is the weirdest thing. I call him Bardric the Barbarian. He is not a very civilized little boy}( }( and oh is he going through a naughty stage. But he remains very cute and sweet as well. He has also gone through a growth spurt--he is very stout and thick and solid--sort of like a little fire hydrant.

Briee--I agree, Cathe does need prayer. I am counting on her producing many workouts that will kick my butt for many years to come, so I hope these injuries are something that she can overcome with time, rest, and healing. Of course this must be tremendously stressful for her as well, since exercise is both her passion and livlihood.

take care all
Maggie:)

Hi everyone! It's so nice to hear from everyone. Baby Justin is still in his crib, and I hope he'll stay in there for a very long time. He loves his crib. Sometimes he bounces off the rails like he's a wrestler...running from one side to the next. DH makes a "nest" for him when it's time to lay down. He has a special wooden box & we put treats in it (like a couple of tiny marshmellows, or a couple fruit snacks). He also has a sippy cup of cold water, two binkies, a special blankie, a couple of books, and some interactive toys in his crib. It's a ritual,...man are we trained or what?!?!?

He still loves his cars, zooms around the house honking all day long.

He isn't talking or taking his clothes off yet.

He bounces a lot. He did start saying, "MINE!".

He LOVES his baby brother & wants to sit next to him all the time. Not a day goes by that I don't tell him that Jadon is going to be his best buddy/friend for life. He's convinced. ;)

I"m so glad you guys agree that Cathe needs our prayers. I've even included her in my prayer journal. About a month ago when I was working out I thought to myself, "I should add her to my prayer list". I'd sure miss her if she stopped putting out workouts. She's so much a part of my life.

Oh, Justin is just now getting in size 24month clothes. He's on the smaller end vertically 10th percentile. Jadon was too. This is a little strange b/c DH & I are both tall. Oh well, I'm sure they'll grow!!!!

I"m glad everyone's doing well!!!!
