hi guys

i thought i'd see if i could get a little advice. we live in maine and it is very cold and dry. i have been debating getting a humidifier or vaporizer for my little guy's room. my concern is the germ factor. anyone have any recommendations or insight? thanks!

Morris, as you know we too are in New englanders. I only used a humidifier with dd#1 when she had a cold which was rare.
Another recomendation for cold weather, get a jjcole cover to put on your carseat. It is snuggly warm and zips around the carseat.
How is your little guy?

Hey there! I have always had a humidifier for my kids, as well as myself. Because it is so dry, it makes it pretty hard for DS to sleep at night because his nose dries out, his mouth dries out... it is just really uncomfortable. Plus, he gets nosebleeds a lot when it gets too dry, and that is no fun. :( I really haven't had any problems with the kids getting sick more having it, in fact if anything they seem to get sick less than other kids (probably because they sleep better at night. ;)) Anyways, that is just my $.02. :)

thanks for the input.

shopaholic, finn is wonderful. he is sleeping well now and growing like crazy. he laughs all the time and just loves to go. we have our 6 month cxheckup at the end of the month and will start solids thereafter. i cannot believe how fast it is all happening. truthfully, i am thinking about baby number 2 as well. we will see.

how are the girls?
