Any suggestions as to what I can get her? She doesn't have any hobbies. Well she knits scarfs, but she already has everything for that.

- plan a mommy/daughter day and send her for a spa treatment then take her to lunch

- you can't go wrong with jewelry

- a bouquet of her favorite flowers

- a plant or a tree for her yard (my mom's Bday was in the spring and I once gave her a lilac bush which she flipped over)

- workout DVD's or equiptment

- special yarns that she wouldn't buy for herself, like cashmere

I spent some time with my mom a couple of weeks ago and I had my Pedometer with me. I kept checking it while we shopped. I was Like "mom we have shopped for an hour, walked a mile and burned 100 calories." I told her they recommend walking 10,000 steps a day for good health. She took it from me the next morning and walked 4 miles and about 7,000 steps! She was fasinated by it and told me to get her one.

I've got this one and it can just sit in your purse or hook on your clothes. It's real accurate.

Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer at amazon.

My Mom is as hard to buy for as me. I usually make her a gift basket full of her favorites:

Bath Bubbles
Bath Sponges
Indulgent Candies
Lotion

I think you get the idea. I also have continued this tradition with my MIL and nieces. They seem to love it!

I would be happy if one of my kids got me a gift certificate (which they usually do)! For a store or a restaurant. You can also get mall gift certificates.
