Monday - Power Circuit
Tuesday - IMAX 3 - and I'm thinking that modification is going to become a 'must'! :) I struggled with a lot of the jumping - nausea is NOT improved with that much bouncing!
Wednesday - took the girls to MIL's (almost a 2 hour drive each way) and we spent 3 hours walking around the zoo. Not sure of mileage, but was pushing the double stroller plus all our 'stuff' so I know my legs got a workout! :)
Thursday - nothing. Too sick - think it was related to being tired from the zoo trip.
Friday - Our company sale was finalized. We got an email at 9:00, web conference at 10:00 and the layoffs started at noon...
;( We just sat there all day, waiting to see if who was next. There were email flying all day with details of our transition plus news as we tried to keep each other updated on the latest events. I had to leave early to have my ultrasound and screening testing (took 3 hours!) Was thrilled with the pictures and fell in love with this new little person at the first shot. Kind of put the work sitch in perspective...
Saturday - swimming with the girls

Hope everyone is well. I can't believe how huge I feel at this point. I've gained maybe 2-3 pounds, but it feels like at least 10! Maternity clothes are coming out ASAP. I saw Push Pull on Fit TV this morning and think I really need to get some DVD's ordered! That one looks like fun. I'm supposed to get a retention bonus in 6 weeks (assuming I don't get canned in the meantime!)and DH said I can have some to spend on a 'treat'. I considered something "sparkly" (have my eye on a bracelet ;) ) but think the workouts would be a better investment.

Hoping for a better week coming up - the nausea, fatigue and migraines don't seem to understand that the 12th week has passed... I got some Firm workouts at a used bookstore (never opened, $3 apiece!) so maybe they would be a good lighter option. We'll see. The weather is supposed to be a little warmer, too, so that will be nice. Hope you are all having a good holiday weekend. Happy Summer!

Hi ladies!

Sandra--good to hear that you are feeling so well and energetic! I wish I was.

Gracenote--keep us posted on your job. It must be stressful waiting to hear what happens.

I am so extremely exhausted and gaining weight so rapidly, I'm starting to wonder if something has not gone wrong with my thyroid. I am trying so hard to eat well. I also feel sick much of the time.
I am forcing myself to workout, but it is taking every ounce of willpower that I have.

My workouts(keep in mind--modifications and lower weights)
Mon-HCX#1
Tues-Low Max 1-6 (just sat and watched int. 7 like a dummy)
Wed-ME
Thurs-IMAX 3 6-10,KM kick/punch drills
Fri-IMAX 3 1-5, MM upper premix (too tired to do bi/tri)
Sat-KPC/L&G circuit premix (60 min) skipped abs
Sun-rest and I mean it. I've been total slug all dayx(

take care everyone!
Maggie

Hi ladies!

Sun: nothing
Mon: walked 3.5 miles
Tues: walked 3.5 miles & High Step Circuit
Wed: nothing (rained all day and I couldn't get out for a walk)
Thurs: walked 3.5 miles
Friday: walked 3.5 miles & Push/Pull
Sat: nothing

I felt great all week but there are just so many hours in a day and I feel like I don't have enough time to do everything I want to do. My son is taking swimming lessons every weeknight until June 10th so I have a feeling my evening workouts may be few and far between.

Great workouts ladies!

Well it ended up being a light workout week but I got in three very good workouts though:

Tuesday: Low Max 45 min

Thursday: Legs and Glutes - LOVE this workout!!!

Saturday: 2 mile JOG!!! and 1 mile walk - note I am very excited that I was able to still jog! I was running last summer and up till maybe the first week of December and had worked up to 6.5 miles at a good 10 minute mile (for a shorty 5'1" - that is a good pace!) We went to a local park that has a huge lake with a paved track all the way around it made for runners/walkers/and bikers alike. Well I had intended to walk while DH ran, but I thought heck this is so flat why not try to jog, and I did! My legs were strong the whole time and pushing DS a whopping 37 lbs + 26 lb stroller is resistance! My hips were starting to feel it right at the end, so I don't think a longer distance is possible for me while pg, but the fact I still "had it", made me really smile! :) Now my pace - sslllloooowww, but hey that is A okay! I'm still basking in my accomplishment! Think I'll be jogging again soon!

Oh and I cleaned this weekend to - say late spring cleaning! So I count that as my arm workout!

Gracenote I hope you aren't too stressed, but a good shopping spree can always make a woman smile right? Keep us updated!

Julie- were you at Creve Couer Park? Sounds nice.

Sandra- Mega Step Blast is a blast from the past- my first Cathe tape. I thought nothing could be harder than section 3- HA!

anyway, here's my week:
Monday: run at riverfront, run stairs at Arch, 10 minutes legs/buns pilates
Tuesday: one mile walk in neighborhood with kids/husband
Wednesday: Step Fit, 10 minutes yoga
Thursday: gym for 45 minutes
Friday: legs and abs from MIS (totally modified- cannot be on back much anymore)
Saturday: gardening! mulched, pulled weeds, etc.
Sunday: "fat burning" Pilates from Crunch (totally easy, but nice standing ab routine)

i go to the doctor tomorrow. I am about ready to switch to maternity clothes. My old maternity clothes are SO UGLY. My first DD was born in 2000, and second in 2002. The clothes in the stores now are so much cooler.

Kristan

ps- i thought I already posted this, so if i wind up making a double post, sorry.

Yes it was Creve Couer Lake - such a great place for family fitness fun! How are you feeling in your runs? Right before I jogged I used the bathroom and almost immediately felt the need to pee again, but held out till I was done. I guess that is normal, since the motion of jogging or running can push on the bladder. How nice is it to run at the Riverfront? Do you run on the road? That sounds like a nice place to run from time to time.

btw I TOTALLY agree about the maternity clothes! When I pulled mine out (I delivered DS in March 02) I thought, my poor husband - he had to look at me every day in these clothes! Luckily with a few new purchases myself and lots of borrowed stuff I'm looking much hipper this go around!

Good afternoon ladies!

Last week's workouts was a bunch of resting. I did do Push Pull on Monday, but the rest of the week just went downhill. However, I did do a lot of housecleaning and packing to go back to my inlaws house from Friday to Monday. When we got home Monday we all collapsed due to exhaustion. We have lots of fun visiting, but no one sleeps well the whole time. It is so great to be back home.

Sandra - Great workouts!! Bottle some of that energy up and send it to me, okay?

GraceNote - Sorry to hear about your work's layoffs. I agree with enjoying your spending spree. I love it when I get to have one. Hopefully you will start to feel better soon. I experienced migraines (along with hand and facial numbness) during my first trimester too. Hopefully yours will subside soon, mine did during the second trimester.

Maggie, Kristan, & Dana - You all are doing great with your workouts!

Dana - I've come to the realization this past week that something has to give in my schedule due to time constraints and having no energy. My workouts, unfortunately, have to suffer, but I still hope to get in at least 1 per week probably 2 if you include push mowing my grass (1 hour).

Julie - Awesome job with your 2 mile jog! You must feel so great about that. I think the last time I jogged was right around 17 weeks but then I started experiencing some abdominal pressure and decided to lay off the jogging. Now my walking speed is a disgrace. With this pregnancy I really miss my running. I can't wait to be able to run again and up my distance. That is one of my post-pregnancy goals.

I hope everyone has a great day!!
