Moms 2 Be Check in: July 24

FiddleFit

Cathlete
Hi! I had a terribly busy week, but managed to stick with my plan. It was a challenge, though, and I'm glad that I'm going to start cutting back this week. My stamina is not what it used to be.

MON: Low Max
TUES: KPC intermediate premix; MM upper body premix
WEDS: Christie Taylor's "Still Steppin'"
THURS: IMAX3 step premix; PUB/PLB bonus combo
FRI: Christie Taylor's "Totally Hot Cardio"
SAT: Cardio & Weights (no core); BS stability ball abs
SUN: rest

I hope you all had a good week! I'm off to get the house ready for DD's birthday party.

Sandra

Hi there

Boy, my stamina is suffering as well, but I'm going to try and push through it for a while, because I am only 16 weeks.

Mon-SH chest, shoulders triceps (2 sets each exercise)
Tues-LL+30 min stationary bike
Wed-SH/GS hybrid back and biceps (2 sets each exercise)+30 min stationary bike
Thurs-Low Max (8"step--going to have to lower this)
Fri-Body Max--I about died. I quit before doing bi and tri x(
Sat-Step Blast--absolutely fatigued by the end
Sun-Rest:7

I maintained my weight again this week, but had 2 rather bad days. I guess what makes the difference is eating well most of the time. My average caloric intake is 2350 and I am maintaining on this.

I hope everyone is doing well this week. Look forward to all the posts :)

Maggie
16 weeks down, 24 to go

Hi. I did ok this week, though my Friday leg workout gave me the worst case of DOMS I've had in ages. It still hurts to sit down and stand up, climb stairs, etc. That dang Tony H.

Monday—rest
Tuesday—Body Fusion
Wednesday—Basic Step + stability ball abs
Thursday—LM step portion (no blasts) + BS/BF upper body add on
Friday—P90X Legs + abs (substituted abs during back portion)
Saturday—KM (easy first part) + BS/BF upper body add on
Sunday: rest--not the plan but these P90X-induced DOMS are brutalx(

Other than my sore legs, I feel pretty good these days. My appetite is normal--I'm neither voracious nor queasy. My workouts are more enjoyable now that I have adjusted my expectations and no longer pout just because what was once easy for me is now challenging. In fact, I kind of like not feeling pressure to really push myself and instead I just enjoy the workouts. Well, only one more month of the vacation trimester. After that, we'll see what kind of song I'm singing.

Although I will be much rounder this fall, I am looking forward to the cooler weather. This heat is quite energy-sapping.

Here was my week:

Sun: Step and Pump portions of SJP

Mon: 1 mile walk, 12 miles stationary bike

Tue: 1 mile walk

Wed: Muscle Max

Thu: 1 mile walk, 4 mile run. Maybe it was the endorphins, but I was thrilled that I could complete all four miles, especially after Muscle Max the day before.

Fri: Crunch Yoga Mama - I tried this for the second time. It wasn't love at first sight. This time, I was very appreciative of all the stretching since I was quite sore from the previous day's 4 mile run.

Sat: KPC premix #16: Punch/Kick Combos, Standing Leg Work, Abs

Keep up the good work, everyone. :)

Monday - Hardcore Extreme, whatever you call the first mix. Got in about an hour of it before the girls needed me for something.
Tuesday - nada - DH was home late
Wednesday - Circuit Max
Thursday - walked/jogged 30 min (distance?)
Friday - nothing - worked all day then volunteered at a charity booth for the evening. Too tired to move by the end of this week...
Sat - swimming 45 min, walked two kids round the pony ride at a local festival (well, it FELT like a mile! ;-) I was pretty dizzy from going in that same dang circle for 15 minutes!!) We parked and walked for about 2 hours in the heat, pushing a stroller, so I was thinking that should count for some kind of workout...

I really need to get more consistent. It's so hard with work, studying, the kids and DH's schedule, but there has to be a way. I KNOW I will regret it if I don't, at any rate.

I ordered Shaklee vitamins for prenatal usage. My order is in, but I have to go pick it up. I got a great deal through a friend and can't wait. I'm hoping they help with my energy level - I really hate running out of steam when there is so much to do.

I can feel more kicking/moving these days - I really think that is one of the MOST amazing things! :)

Hope you are all well and have a great week - can you believe that July is ending?!?! I'm still waiting for the local produce stands to really get into gear - they've been unimpressive so far, so maybe the season has been off. who knows? I just want good 'real' tomatoes!! :)

Hello ladies. All of your workouts look great. Now me on the other hand, I really slacked off this past week. Between the heat and the fatigue, I had no energy. So this is all that I did:
Sunday: LowMax step premix
Mon: nothing
Tues: nothing
Wed: 1 mile walk
Thurs: 1 mile walk
Fri: nothing
Sat: 2 mile walk and swimming

I really want to do the July rotation and I even wrote all my planned workouts down. The weather today and tomorrow is going to be in the high 90's so don't know if I'll be working out tonight.

Today I'm not feeling too well. Last night my 4-year old got up around 2:00am telling me his belly hurt and that he was going to throw up. He got up 2x and threw up during the night. He seemed ok this morning so I took him to daycare so I could come to work but now I"m not feeling so good. We also had a very busy weekend (we went camping) so I'm really lacking sleep. Those camper matresses are not comfy when you've got all this extra weight!

Have a great week all! :)

I think everyone is doing well, considering being pregnant and most everyone having children already to care for. believe me, there are plenty of pregnant people and people with kids who'd be blown away by any of the above weeks.

I tried to get more done around the house this week. I am cleaning and rearranging like a mad woman. It's been close to 100 for the last week or so, so no gardening, but lugging around a lot of sprinklers. i am also 'decorating' (that's a stretch of a word) the basement. it's finished, but needs some serious help looking put together.

monday: rest
tuesday: gym cardio/lower body stuff, 50 minutes
wednesday: w/u and step from SJP, "bun blaster" from MSB, 10 minutes from CoreMax
thursday: gym cardio/upper body stuff, 45 minutes
friday: timesaver premix #5, leg stuff compilation
saturday: swim 1/2 mile (water was too warm)
sunday: SHOP! (between the grocery and target, took me about 3 hours) and paint a bathroom. i was tired.

take care. kristan, due 11-1 with #3

Hello one and all.

I had a decent week for me:

Monday: 1 hour swim aerobics class

Tuesday: 35 min speed walk

Saturday: Muscle Endurance (- abs) 55 min aprx

So, that's that. I was going to do workout number 4 yesterday, but decided not to. I'm having weight gaining issues I think. But I'm gonna post about that alone, so my questions can be answered without bogging down this post. I'm not sure if I will be doing the rotation now... we'll see.

I had company this week, so my workouts weren't too exciting. I did find my workout log from last pregnancy & I'm pretty inspired about it. I even have some ideas on mixing & matching.

Baby hasn't been moving much, I look forward to the stronger more consistent kicking/punching. All I can say is it must be a gentle little girl (just guessing on sex which is so fun)who doesn't want to hurt her moma. :D

My running/jogging days are over now for this pregnancy. I'll start up again in the fall, with a double jogger. Also, I will be lowering my step to 6 inch & doing just 30-45 min cardios until baby arrives. ;) I know, I know, so wimpy compared to you strong ladies. ;)

2 workouts this week:
Kickbox
KPC 45min premix

Melanie - You're too funny! I don't know about that 'gentle little girl' idea - my 1st kicked so hard and so much that I actually had internal bruising! :) And the wimpy comment - it's really impressive that you've been running all this time!!

I am sooooo excited!! My double jogging stroller is just one state away, and I'm watching the Fed Ex tracking site for more updates. It should arrive tomorrow. I've been waiting for almost 2 weeks and that's pushing my patience to its limit. We haven't been able to take family walks and there have been some days that would have been perfect. I ended up picking the Dreamer Design Ditto - Julie, I think you rec'd it? It was a little more than I had orignally budgeted, but I think it will be worth it.

Silly to be so happy about something that's not an actual Cathe tape, isn't it? ;-)

Gracenote, I was super excited about my jogging stroller when it came. It was dusk out & I assembled it, thru baby Justin in it immediately & went for a 30 minute jog. I got BabyJogger 3, which was about $250 I think, it might have been $300. I really like it a lot, but it didn't fold easily into my Subaru Forester. This time I will need to look for comfort & easy folding. With my BabyJogger I had to take all 3 wheels off to fit it in the back. It was ackward & heavy.
Say, did anyone pre-order Cathe's newest DVDs? Whenever I buy lesser intensity workouts I never do them. Of course if I didn't like them I could sell them on eBay or give them away to a friend........ Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Melanie - I really liked the BabyJoggers, but needed a double (we have a single already and will need both with our next arrival) and had to balance features/quality with price... The stroller arrived, and I put it together right there in the hallway with an 18 month old sitting-climbing and standing on it as I went. (The 3yo was busy with her 'friend' Dora, who was trying to get to Tall Mountain ) We were out in the driveway in 15 minutes all together, but couldn't go far - it started raining. No biggie - it cooled things off a bit and maybe we'll get that family walk in later when DH gets home. :)

I love the stroller so far. It feels like it's pushing itself - we live in a hilly rural area, and walk a 'country block'. It almost 4 miles with about 1/2 mile of it flat, the rest either up or down. My legs and butt really like it, but as I get more pregnant, I'm not so sure about the rest of me ;-)

We also live in rural America. Minnesota to be exact. If I go to the left it's less hilly. If I go to the right it's brutal. I like the right, but I haven't don't that in a couple of years. ;) BabyJogger has a double. Do you mind me asking how much your new one was? You'll have to let me know how you like it as time goes by. ;)
