Cathlete
Hi! I had a very busy weekend and didn't have time to post yesterday. So, here was my week:

MON: Christie Taylor's Step Heaven
TUES: Christie Taylor's Totally Hot Cardio; MIS
WEDS: A combination of 3 segments from Cathe's Classics dvd
THURS: SB/SJP step & weights premix
FRI: KickMax combos 1-4; MIC step
SAT: High Step Circuit
SUN: Rest

I hope you all had a good week. I've got to try to catch up on some work.

Cheers,
Sandra

Sandra- I was wondering where you were! Anyway, my week:

Monday- nothing
Tuesday- gym, 1 hour, cardio/leg stuff
Wednesday- Mega Step Blast #2, part of #2 from CoreMax, 2.5 mile walk to farmers market pushing 80 pounds of kids/produce in stroller (this was the hardest thing I did all week, lol)
Thursday- gym, 1 hour, cardio/upper body stuff
Friday- swim 1 mile, including butterfly
Saturday- IMAX 2, the whole thing, although I had plannned on just stringing together the simple step stuff. I felt decent and did the intervals too. Of course, I modified a lot, especially that interval with the straddle hops/jacks (substituted squats, peglegs). I cannot do a tuck jump non-pregnant, so i didn't even try that. I was definitely not anaerobic.
Sunday- not much, 20 laps with kickboard, dragging 4 year old on her kickboard too

have a good week. kristan

Good morning ladies! Here are my workouts from last week:

Tues: 20 minutes elliptical, 200 walking lunges, PUB (pyramid up only)
Wed: LB premix from MM, walk 1 mile
Thurs: walk 1 mile
Fri: walk 1 mile
Sat: REST

Have a great week all!

Well count me up as wimp. Bad week - lots of excuses, as I list them feel free to skim to another post :p . So this week my outdoor workouts were ruined by either a.) rain or b.) a heat advisory - as in what happened to my scheduled jog for yesterday :( and my indoor workouts were ruined by the choice to either a.) workout or b.) sleep. Seeing as the fatigue monster is back, yet twice I opted for b ... sigh. I did get one prenatal easy as pie workout in on saturday, guess that counts. This week I VOW to be different!!! I'm starting my swim class tonight - YEAH!!! and I think I'm going to order two of Cathe's intermediate videos this week as well to make myself feel motivated. So that's me - tired, but otherwise healthy and fine!

How are all of you?

Sandra - I am awed by your dilligence - I'm hoping mine comes back!!!

Julie a swim class sounds like a lot of fun. There isn't anything like that in my area that works with my schedule.

I'm not sure how many workouts I"m going to get in this week. We're going camping over the weekend so I know Fri-Sun I won't get in anything (except maybe for walking b/c I believe that the campground we are staying at has walking trails). I also have to go grocery shopping and then prepare the food for the weekend and clean out the camper.

I go for my glucose test on Friday so wish me luck!

sandra you are doing really great!!
in fact..everyone is.

me, i am still on modified bedrest. i am thankful i can now at least get up and out of the bed. however my dr. has verified my cervix is starting to soften. don't know why. so i just have to take it really easy.

Sunny each week Jaden is in there, is another week he's growing still - so keep your chin up!

FWIW - My DH is a medical student, he is now a third year student, which means he works at hospitals, clinics, and dr offices in all feilds of medicine for the next two years. This last week he worked at a local hospital's NICU. One mama came in 27 weeks along with twins. They were delivered for whatever reason, and were just under 2 lbs. My DH had to cover one of them, and did a medical write up on the baby. He said both babies are doing fine, have only some respitory (?sp) problems, but otherwise little but fine. They have a good chance of being discharged sooner than later. I was so releived to hear this as a mama, just in case this should happen to us. Makes me feel much more at ease that everything will work out fine. Hope that gives you a little ease while you are waiting so paitiently! :)

Julie that is so nice to hear. All the new technology and medicines are wonderful. One of my best friends found out she had breast cancer while she was pregnant and they had to take her son 2 months early so she could start chemo. I think he weighed 3 1/2 lbs when he was delivered. Anthony will be 2 in October and aside from being a little bit smaller then other 2 year olds he is doing great!

Sunny hang in there - not too much longer!

Hi everyone!

Sunny--do have other children to care for right now? I can't remember. If so, I hope you have some help. If not, enjoy your rest and try to relax. It's so good that you are at 33 weeks. Every week you can hang in there is better, but this would have been really scary, say, 10 weeks ago. (((hugs)))

My workouts for the week:
Mon-SH chest, shoulders and triceps (I did only 2 sets of each exercise to make this workout shorter)
Tues-LL(oh my)+40 min stationary bike intervals
Wed-SH/GS hybrid--back and biceps+IMAX 3 step only (8 inches)
Thurs-All Step and S&I (cardio portions only)(6 inches)
Fri-The Viper with some modifications (6 inches), skipped the final set of pushups
Sat-Low Max step only (8 inches)+KM kick/punch drills
Sun-REST

And my thrilling news for the week:
1. Heard babies heart beat for the first time and it sounded strong:)
2. I ate super clean and about 2250 cal per day and GAINED NO WEIGHT for the first time since I found out. I am learning to love my fitday account. Morning sickness is gone, so I don't have to eat every 2 hours and can feel hungry without feeling like I am going to die.

take care all
Maggie
15 weeks, 1 day

Sunny - glad to hear you are still pregnant!! :D Taking it easy is hard, but every week is one more down. Keep posting - unless you can't get to the computer from bed...

Maggie - glad you're feeling better - your workouts look great!

Julie – Sometimes the fatigue monster is telling you to take a break for a reason…maybe a baby growth spurt – so don’t even worry about it. Your body tells you what you need and when you listen to it, you’re doing exactly the right thing!

I am sooooo impressed with the workouts! I’m feeling very motivated just looking at them. Last week was very busy with work – Wednesday started at the office 6:30 and ended just before midnight, and then had to get up the next morning at 4:30, so I was WHOOPED. We had a walking tour of a 900,000 sq. ft. facility, so I did get some walking in there.

Sunday – 3 mi walk
Monday – Step and Intervals
Tuesday – worked late
Wednesday – just staying awake with the big boss was a workout!!
Thursday – nothing
Friday – Hardcore Extreme, workout #1 (not sure how this is titled – any help?) I had to quit after 45 minutes to get the girls at daycare, but spent 20 minutes walking with them later.
Saturday – nothing – DH had an all day golf tournament and I was sick (lower intestinal+ nausea – virus, I think, not M/S). DD#1 was sick with a cold, too, so swimming was cancelled
Sunday – nothing – just a three hour shopping trip, but I went solo, so it wasn’t as much work as taking the kids. I did park as far as I could from the stores so I could get some walking in. It’s been hot, so I didn’t want to push it too much.

Thanks to all your advice, I ended up reviewing my double stroller selection and finally ordered the Dreamer Design Ditto. It should be here this week, so I’m looking forward to some outdoor workouts – if I can take the girls with me, then I don’t have to count on DH watching them. Might get me an extra workout or two per week. I really need to figure out some ways to guarantee a workout without his help. I hate planning and then having to cancel if he goes out of town or changes plans.

Here’s to a good week for everyone!

Lets see if I can remember..lol

I finally gained weight... about five pounds. Time to start eating super-cleanly... *sigh*
I still haven't felt the baby kick yet. Then again, this is my 1st pregnancy, so maybe I don't know what I'm supposed to look for.

Thank goodness for this checkin, you are all inspiring me to get up and do something even when I really don't want to. :)

MSJ- i have a 4 yr. old son that i have to take care of..so i can't totally be on complete bedrest. i went to the doc today and she is concerned so now my son will go my mother's during the day so i don't have to constantly get up....we are hoping to make it at least til 37 weeks.

Sunnydelite,

So, things are continuing to progress despite the bedrest? I'm sorry to hear that :( Are they giving you steroid shots to mature the baby's lungs, in case you don't make it to 37 weeks? (I don't know if that is always done; I've just read that they will do that in some cases). And do they mean the *start* of the 37th week, or the *end*?

Sandra

Sunny -

I have been thinking about you and hoping things were getting better... Are you more dilated, or is the dr. concerned about something else? I'll be sending you healthy baby thoughts and looking for updates whenever you can post them.

KC

hi ladies,

the good thing is i haven't started to dialate at all. my cervix is still shut tight. it's just softening and i guess that's what happens before and during dialation. i have to admit i didn't adhere to the bedrest 100% before but now i am doing much better. it's just kinda hard to stay in bed all day (so boring) esp. when you have a toddler. my dr. told me to do it for at least a week so my mother is coming over during the day to help with ds, etc. until dh gets home for work. i know i shouldn't feel like this, but i feel so guilty for ds and dh. although i know i am also doing something for our unborn child....sigh

You all blow me away. Makes me realize that I am probably limiting myself a little too much in my workouts, and that I could probably reach a little higher. As soon as things get hard I ease up, just because I'm nervous even though I have my doc's wholehearted approval to keep exercising. I can't remember what I did last week for workouts, but I decided to start keeping a pregnancy journal/workout log to track how things are going (and to keep me honest!).

Sunnydelite, I'm thinking about you and I hope you can at least enjoy this time and read some good books or catch up on movies you haven't been able to see. Still, I'm sure it's hard to relax when you're apprehensive.
