Hi Girls:)

Just a quick note before I go home:) Today I have a long run and GS legs planned.I don't know what to watch while I am running is my ony problem.Its stormy here so I won't want to go out,if I don't have to:)
I had a good night at work and Susan will be happy to know that I won't call the Labour Board just yet.I will wait until they make me work again;)
No news here...same old...same old...now..get talkin so I will have lots to read when I wake up:)
Lori:)

Good morning - Lori - and everyone after.........

Not much here either. The weather is FINALLY feeling and looking like spring, we just about have all the snow melted from the yard - can't wait. We put up the outside furniture on the patio, I can never wait very long - I love my coffee at 5am on the patio - best ever.

Had a great class last night - more and more are coming and joining it's just great!!!

I'm going with my mom to join WW again tonight. That has worked for me in the past and WILL work for me again. I tried doing it on my own, but I miss the meetings-suggestions-ideas-and knowing I'm not the only one struggling. :)

I hope everyone has a great day - I'm super busy at work, but hope to get back here once in a while.

Take care,
Marcia.

Good Morning!!!

I can finally talk...so...where is everybody? I had a playdate planned yesterday for my older kids. We invited 2 friends over, but the mother called me and asked if she could drop off her older daughter and not her son. Her son woke up with a running nose and a cough. So.....I had 4 kids yesterday. The result was a simple equation: 4 kids = no time on the computer! She was here until after lunch. Usually the mother stays here and that gives us a chance to talk and drink coffee.

Well, this morning I did a quick circuit style rotation with core max, jumping jacks, push-ups, calf raises, bicep, tricep, and shld work. If I have time, I might get on my stairmaster for about 30 minutes or so....

I hear you on the patio furniture!! We added a patio behind our house last summer and just bought patio furniture. We bought a table with a fire pit in the middle. I am looking forward to the many nights that we will spend out there!!!

Gotta go feed my kiddos!! They have been patient while I started laundry and got online. Now, they want to eat!

Lori, I am happy you found that number! Did that one chick have her baby yet? And have you talked to your boss first about what you are unhappy with? Have fun on your run! I have been having a hard time after my last two long runs. It feels like my metabolism just shuts down - I don't want to eat, drink, nothing. I just want to sleep for days straight after running. I don't know if this is normal, but I am running really long distances that I have never run before. How much water do you drink WHILE you are running? I am thinking that maybe that is why my body is shutting down. What do you think?

Marcia, I am so happy that spring is arriving for you guys! That is awesome. :) do you teach your classes at a gym or at home? I think it is great that your class is growing - woohoo! :7 I think it is great that you are going to start meetings, it is always easier to stay on track when you have support and someone holding you accountable. Have fun! :D And I understand busy, totally get it! :)

Charlotte, Wendy and Susan, howdy howdy howdy!!!! I did read the posts yesterday, and Wendy I am so sorry about that cramp! That so sucks. You just have to convince DH that you need a pampering message. ;) Is Joey teething again? Poor little guy, I hope that he feels better and that you can get some rest. Susan, I am so sorry about getting stuck on your driveway! That totally sucks. x(

I am still crampy in my achilles and calves, so I am not running today. I am going to do some light cardio and then some walking lunges and ME upper body. See you soon!

Missy

Ooooooooooh a fire pit!!! I love those things! Can I come over? :p

what were the ages of all the kids you had? When I have only two, just Logan and my nephew, I know it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to day ANYTHING! So I feel you! Speaking of laundry... I have yet MORE to do.... does it never end???

Missy

Hi Girls! I am awake!

Im glad it is spring somewhere b/c it certainly isn't here.The kids are home from school today b/c it is so called "stormy" its not that bad.But they don't have school in the afternoon b/c of the funeral so maybe they figured they should just close school for the day.Who knows?

I started TOM when I woke up and now I have pains shooting up through my belly.It hurts actually.I have to call the hospital soon b/c they need me for one of my apts 8 days after my period starts.I think this one must be the dye test through my tubes and on the 12th I have my ultra sound...I guess to see if I am ovulating? I don't know that either! LOL

Missy, Im not unhappy with anything at work.I was just teasing b/c I didn't get to sleep a work last week and Miss Susan thought I was being treated unfairly:+ LOL But she was being sarcastic!
Nope, no baby yet.She as been taken off of work though at the end of the month so she only has 2 shifts left to go and then she is gone.Then we have 2 part timers coming back, whose DH's make good money and apparently they only work when they "want" to work.I don't know why my boss doesn't take the schdule and fill in the blanks? I mean come off of it! Then the 3 girls sharing the one shift start arguing b/c they can't agree.Apparently one girl already as her summer holidays put in for AND Christmas to.Not tell me that thats fair? A part timer getting holidays over everyone else? Well look at that...I guess I do have problems! LOL
I don't get sleepy when I run far.I get a bad stomach and hunger to follow.When I use to puch myself in the summer time I would end up with a bad bellt for a couple of hours but I don't get that anymore either.I don't drink water when I run either.I chew gum.And if I don't chew then I just wait until I get home and i chug 3 big galsses but I know Im not drinking enough.

Marcia, let us know how your meeting goes.Your going with your mom? Its great to have someone to go with.

Sara,glad to see you have the time totalk to us:+ I know it must be hard with all those kids...no time to do anything, never mind talking on the computer.

Today i am going for a long run and GS LEgs.I rented the movie derailed.I have no clue what it is about but it is 1 hr and 52 min! Eek! I could do a 12 mile run with that one but I was thinking more along the lines of a 8 mile run.Who knows? I got no where to go so I have lots of time!

Lori:)

Hello everyone!

I can't believe I'm here before Miss Charlotte! She must be busy building those leg muscles!!!

I had an AWESOME Spinervals workout this morning - Uphill Grind. I have huge DOMS in my butt muscles from my workout yesterday, so it was an extra challenge. That workout kicked my butt.

Lori, I'm so happy that you won't be calling the labor board. Whew! I was beginning to worry about the mistreatment you were facing.

Missy, I'm sorry about your cramping muscles and your shut down metabolism. I bet Lori can help answer some of your questions. You might also do a post for either "runners" or Carole who is a big time runner. She's very helpful. I hope that you can get it figured out. When I was training for my marathon, I made sure to have Cytomax on all of my long runs. Are you doing something other than water? I think the rule is anything over an hour requires refueling of electrolytes (sp?) and that's what I do with cycling.

Sara, it's so nice to have you back. My life with that little puppy is quite taxing - having to watch him every single second. So I can't even imagine all those kids!

Wendy, keep up with that laundry. How's Joey???

Marcia, good luck with WW. You WILL do great!

Susan

Hey Girls!!

Busy cleaning today. Went and applied for a job. Well actually just made it thru the screening and that was about it. Not experienced for warehouse work. No other jobs around here that I want to work at minimum wage. I guess these people don't realize how productive I could be for them. Never willing to give me a try so I will continue being productive at home and building tons of muscle!!!!! LOL!
So I am feeling alittle down, but not really. Just not meant to be? I am really one tired girly this morning. I had a hard time sleeping because I felt very restless and my legs wanted to keep moving. I couldn't keep them still! LOL! Oh, I am a nut. Miss you all.

Lori,

I will email you tomorrow. I got to pick up DD for her driver's license and a few hours.

::: sheepishly entering the room :::

Hello All I'm Vilma aka ShyWolf.

Just starting to post here again after about a year of not being active on the forums.

I posted earlier http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=283832&mesg_id=283832&page= and Lori mentioned this thread.

After about a year of not being consistant with my workouts I started last week.

I've been doing the cardio / strength premix from Cathe's Low Intensity Step DVD. It's not where I once was but it's a start to build up again.

Just a little bit more about me: I'm a married sahm to 3 children 15 yr old dd, 13 yr old ds and 7 yr old dd. I have been working out with Cathe since 1994 on and off, mainly on until just recently. I also am a WW lifetime member, made goal in Sept. '04 after 14 months losing a total of 45 # .

I'm now starting to get on with life in general after being in a fog. I'm still in mourning but am having much brighter days now. :)

I'm hoping to becoming more of an active poster again.

Welcome, ShyWolf! So your gonna settle for some good addiction then? You know once you get started again, you will keep going. Just makes you feel so great when you conquer a Cathe workout! I am also married, will be for 19 years this year. Have two children (DD 17 and son 15). I have been working out to Cathe for 2 years now. I had some setbacks myself, but that happens, right? We all need some down time to sort things out. You will always miss the ones you love, that will never change, but we all have to go on living the best we can. Our loved ones would want that for us.

Charlotte~~

Hey girly-girls!!!:)

Welcome to our little group, Vilma! Love your screenname by the way! Sorry to hear that you had a rough year but I'm glad to see that you have decided to make the effort to "pick yourself back up" again and get movin' with life! You go girl!:+

Missy, LOL! I have hated laundry for YEARS! It is one of my LEAST favorite chores next to cleaning the tub/shower and toilet!:p Thank goodness I only want one more baby! :+

Susan, Joey is doing well. Going through what appears to be a little bit of a "mother sucker" phase where he will just whine and cry unless I am with him. I feel so bad for him! ;(

Hello Lori, Charlotte and Sara!!!:+

This morning I went to the gym and did a 30 min "random" program run/walk on the treadmill and then a 20 min "interval" program on the eliptical. I burned 557 cals according to my hrm!}(

I had an SS work out on tap as well for today but I'm skipping it. I am going to re-vamp my rotation because an SS w/o AND cardio every day is just too long of a work out. I'm going to alternate doing an SS one day and 45-60 mins of cardio the next. I will still also be doing the March 06 rotation mixxed in there as well.:)

So now I am relaxing and happily sipping coffee while my baby boy sleeps. I have to shower soon though and get movin' on a bit of housework...AND LAUNDRY!!!x(

Just wanted to say welcome to Vilma....I just started posting a bit more and I joined this group. I love it!

Also wanted to share what I am soooooo excited about!!!!! Dh just got a promotion at work. Him and his partner are now the "leaders" in their department. I am soooooo proud of him. He is a bit nervous and worried about added stress. He can be such a pessimist sometimes. I told him this is a great thing and he deserves it! He has been working his butt off for this company and this is a major reward. Yeah!!! I am excited....almost enough to make a cheescake (dh's favorite). However, we will just eat it all and feel fat for 3 days.....not good!

What is for dinner? I have a good chicken and rice recipe I got from my mil if anybody wants it......
We are having tator tot casserole (for kids) and grilled chicken and turkey bacon salad (for dh and me).

Sara

Vilma, I am so happy that you are here! I am so sorry for everything that you have been through, I truly am. I lost a dear pet/best friend and a sister within six months of each other so I know how hard it can be to pull yourself out of a slump. I think it is great that you are wanting to take care of yourself! I can tell you that your dad would be happy that you are pulling yourself up again :) And, I also suffered from a Sims 2 addiction. I had the Caliente sisters and Don with every Tom Dick and Cindy, and the Brokes were the trailer trash of Pleasantville - Brandi had six more babies, all by different men, but Beau managed to rise above it all and now is a business tycoon who never talks to his family because he thinks that he is too good for them. I haven't seen him since the summer, so I don't know what he is up to now ;) I cannot tell you how much my posture suffered last year because of this game! But I did build some pretty amazing houses! :p

I think it is awesome that you are looking ahead to brighter days, I think that is the key. Live a life and build a legacy that your kids and your parents would be proud of. You are awesome! :)

Missy

>What is for dinner?

LEFTOVERS!!! We are leaving for vaca on Saturday, and I don't want anything green and fuzzy in my fridge when I get back! :p

What is MIL's recipe? Please share! :)

Missy

Hi Girls and welcome Shywolf! Im glad you took my offer:)

I just finished working out, long enough to get a shower.I did a 10 mile run and GS Legs...I think that should do it for today;) I watched Derailed and it was good, I thought I knew what was happening but wasn't sure.SO that kept me on the treadmill.
SHould have a look and see what happening with dinner in the oven.We are having salmon, but of course DD doesn't like that, so chicken nuggets it isx(
Lori:)

Missy LOL Oh I still play the Sims 2 but after a realization I found out that I was pouring myself into the game -- it was better to play than thinking and crying all day over my wonderful daddy and my beautiful Pepper ( I like to think that they both are together sitting under a tree and enjoying a bright sunny warm day like they did in life when he would come over to visit)

It is still very hard for me and the game is a good escape. I play the Legacy Challenge and am a member of a few yahoo groups some habits die hard :) but most of my play time took over the time I would use to work out. Now that I have realized this I am making some changes like no gaming until after everything here is done
* workout
* household chores
* help kiddos with homework
* more household chores
* dinner time

then after the youngest is put to bed then I'll allow myself some playtime usually around after 8 pm while watching HGTV :p that's if I don't collapse into my bed and fall asleep :7

I really look forward to coming back to the boards I didn't realize how much you all had motivated and supported me to continue challenging myself and striving for more harder workouts }(

it's so ironic now that I am no where near where I once was workout wise but eventually I get up there again right?

My daugther plays sims 2 on her new computer.And I have no clue what she is doing! LOL And I said to Dh the other day, I can remember when I was growing up and I couldn't understand why my mom didn't want to learn how to play Super Mario Bros! hahahaha Now I understand! hahaha I have no clue what she is playing and I doubt I will learn:)
I wondered what I did before I spent time on this board though.Somedays I don't get on here much but I love getting a coffee in the morning and reading through the threads! Its the highlite of my morning, so I can see how you could be addicted...or really enjoy doing something.
You will get your workouts back up to where they were.You just have to get back in to the swing of things and before you know it you will be working hard like the rest of us:)
Lori:)
