Good Morning Ladies:)

Im sitting here with my coffee and it seems to be disappearing way to fast;( ;( I should go to the hospital and get an I.V of coffee or caffine (whatever works:) )hooked up.:)
I went to bed late last night.Greys Anatomy always keeps me up late. Then I would dooze off and have to roll over and then I was awake for another little while.

I am working tonight again.I was suppose to be working day shifts but my babysitters friend died so the easist way to come up with a babysitter was to stay home all day and work the night shifts.

Wendy, you have big problems with your workouts!?:7 I think you are going to have to decide what you are doing when you go to the gym...then go from there. If its cardio, then your cardio days can be at the gym.

I don't know what workout I am doing.I really want to come up with some sort of circuit style rotation but I just haven't had the time to sit down and come up with something. Not to mention, its hard trying to figure out how you can do 3 circuits and a full body weight day, or 2 seperate days of LB then UB.

I should go and tidy up a bit.Everyone else, get your lazy butts out of bed!
Lori:)

HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO!!!!!! I missed you guys SO much last week! I was super-duper busy. I had my nephew all week, and he spent the day and night with me Thursday into Friday and it felt like I couldn't get anything done. I have A LOT of cleaning to do today, mainly laundry. BUT I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN! Did I miss anything? :D

Lori, do your knees hurt with all the running you do? I did nine miles yesterday and I couldn't walk for the rest of the day. I soaked in the tub and that helped my knees a little bit, but when I got up this morning they were stiff again. Any advice? And what circuit workouts do you have? I like making my own up using segments from the all step DVDs. I can't wait until this training is done so that I can use the treadmill for circuit work! :)

Wendy, you becoming a gym rat? :p

Missy

Good Morning Girls!!

Lori,

I am making up a rotation for myself today. I am doing more cardio lately. I done alot of it this week. Hip flexor alittle sore and knees. I have still been doing alot of plyometric moves. Hurt my rib cage a few days ago...not sure how! LOL! I have been moving so hard and in so many directions, but I am having fun. Today I am going to ride my bike again for 12 miles or so and then onto doing some blast from Imax 2 and then work chest/back. I just bought a new bikini and it is really low rise and shows off the butt some in the back so I got to have my booty looking gooty. LOL! I don't have much time as summer is around the corner. Girl, I am at war now!!!! I don't care if I have fried legs 24/7...I know what I want and I am gonna get it!!!!! When I was running yesterday, I seen an old friend drive up the road. I was praying that she would not stop to talk to me, but instead she just waved. If I would have stopped then, it would be over. I was trying to push myself to keep running without stopping. I did for 30 mins and then took it into a fast jog towards the end. I was grateful she didn't stop.

Wendy,

So how are you doing with your running?

Missy,

Missed you too, Maniac!!!! Glad you had a great time with your nephew.

I am going to kill the weeds in my driveway later. Just can't stand it. Time to get the garden plowed next month. I think a few of my baby pine trees might be dying. Need some rain really bad here. Maybe get it tomorrow.

Good to see you awake! I am comming to life now.I bought a coffee for DH and one for me, I drank mine and moved on to his:) LOL He gave it up willing though and he is picking one up on his way to work!

Missy, my knees hurt when I run, sometimes. Its not all the time. But there are times when I am going down the stairs or up the stairs and I can feel it in both of my knees. If one is to act up ,its always my right knee.Sometimes I think about what shape my knees are going to be in when I am 50, just for the price of looking good now.I am going to be in hard shape! I use to stop running in the winter time though which use to be great for my knees.I would do step all winter, then my ankles would act up! Then I would go back to running. And those were the days when 8 kms was enough...the good ole days!:) And when i sleep at work, I usually curl up into a ball inthe recliner and when i stretch my legs out..its kills! I don't do much for it, only take a break, but once your knees hurt, I don't think there is any reversing it.The Dr told me that the muscles the keep my knee cap in place weren't strong enough and thats where this problem comes from in women.Apparently men don't have this problem as much as women do.

Charlotte, what kind of rotation are you comming up? Your gonna burn your bottom? Are you going to take some new pics of your bikini? Or not until you get your BEE-HIND lifted:) The last rotation I did, the only results I saw was in my LB.I was thinking about doing a circuit workout today but my chest hurts from yesterdays workout, unless, I do something else while Cathe does chest.
I would be rotted if someone stopped to talk to me while I was running.Who does that? Glad she didn't bother you, you would have had to be friendly, even though you were thinking...keep drving bia-tch! LOL

Lori:)

Lori,

I didn't know this about your knees. Seems I have the similiar problem. My knees actually do feel stronger then before, but then again I don't run the kind of miles you do. I bet my knees would bother me more if I did. Kind of interesting info your doctor shared with you, didn't know that.

My rotation is going to burn the crap out of my legs....biking one day, running the next for 6 days a week. I will also add in plyometrics, blast from Imax 2, bbm's, and Cathe leg workouts. Working upper body the same. Gonna try some supplements to see if I can get some more uummmppp for lifting heavy. Really want to build my arms up, but I do better building them when I rest them more inbetween...say working them 2 times a week at most. Basically, I need to add in lots more cardio, but will keep my running no more then 45 mins.

Charlotte~~~

Lori, it is well known in this forum that I am the most indecisive of all when it comes to making decisions about rotations! Get used to it! :p :7 :7 :7
What happened to your babysitter's friend? Was it a young person?

Missy, nah...not a gym rat YET! LOL I just like the change. I have only been to a couple of spin classes and then I've used the other cardio machines. Haven't ventured to learn how to use the weight machines yet...part of that is because I am so used to have a plan laid out in from of me that I can just mindlessly follow (cathe vids!). To lift at the gym would mean I'd have to create my OWN plan and actually count reps and all! UGH! LOL :p

Charlotte, the running will be a slow effort. I went to the gym on saturday and only got in 3/4's of a mile before I got a cramp and had to stop. I walked for a bit and then moved on to the bike and the eliptical. I went back to the treadmill at the end of the work out and ran another 1/2 a mile before cooling down. The upside is that b/c I split my cardio up on 3 different machines for an hour I burned over 600 calories!!!:+ :+ :+

Charlotte, burn baby BURN!!:7 :7 I don't know, do you think that saying is true..."no pain,no gain"? I think you put it to the test. How long are you going to do that rotation for?

Wendy, glad to see you got your backside out of the bed! Tut-tut! (shaking finger at you:eek: }( )
Actually, the man that died,he has a daughter is DD class. He was only 42 and I think he had a heart attack. He also has a daughter who is in grade 11.They were really good friends with my babysitter.I don't know if they grew up together or not...either way...very sad weekend.

Still no workout done.I will have to wait until after lunch.Maybe I will workout as soon as DD goes back to school, get in the tub..then have a nap.Another night shift;( ;(
Lori:)

Wendy,

Let us know what cardio you decide to do. I am doing chest/back now. Then off to ride bike before my children get home.

Charlotte~~

Good morning ladies! Yes, it's still morning here.

Okay, first of all I have to have a talk with you Charlotte. Go back and read your post about how you build your arms. If that works for your arms, wouldn't it seem to work the same way for your legs? Rest in between??? And I worry that you are going to be doing too much cardio and you're going to lean out your legs (if this is possible!) and not build them like you are wanting so badly. Or have you just decided to live with those gorgeous things? Shoot - I'll take 'em if you don't want 'em!

Lori - okay now this is getting ridiculous. First, you are forced to work so much the other night DURING WORK and now I find out you have to sleep in a recliner at work and not a bed? I don't know about your labor laws in Canada, but I would file a complaint if I were you!

Wendy, too much too soon on the treadmill? Just take it easy and don't get discouraged. It's good that you were able to mix it up. That's the beauty of a gym membership I suppose.

Missy, so glad to have you back. We missed your optimism around here (not that the rest of you aren't optimistic, but...).

I did lower body and abs this morning. Four sets of 15 walking lunges, squat, plie squats, leg extensions, leg curls, deadlifts and Bowflex abs, 125 reps. Nothing like Charlotte's 500 reps though!!! Tonight I'll do 30-45 minutes on the elliptical - interval and tomorrow is Spinervals. Wed I think I'll do Power Hour. LOVE that one!

Back to work! Have a great day!!!

Susan

Susan, I thought about calling the Labour Board but I can't find the #!:) Im pretty sure that I am being treated unfairly!

I just did the Gualant workout and a 30 min run.For some reason I thought that workout was alot harder. And it wasn't as if I had loads of energy today either.
I just called work to see if I had anything tonight and they filled me in that I am going to be working with the church goerx( He pushes religion on you and when you least expect it! He only started going to church when he met his wife about 12 yrs ago, I went to church for 18 yrs with my parents so there isn't anything that he can tell me that I don't already know! SO back off buddy! I just hate pushy people, regardless!

Anyway.,..should go straighten my hair.Im still out of hair gel!
Lori:)

Susan,

Hey woman! Not really sure I was going the right way with my legs before. I mean, I was only working them maybe once or twice a week and according to many I know and what I have read, this is not enough. There is more fat there in the legs so I need to work harder, unlike doing arms just once/twice a week. Plus I have always hated stepping and stepping is what shapes them legs so that is another change I am making along with plyometrics. I want to sculpt and define my legs so that the butt looks alittle separated from the hamstrings...get what I am saying? So far I see slight definition in my hamstrings, but you can't tell where my butt and hamstrings begin or end which is not uncommon and not necessarily bad I just want rounder and tighter glutes and more definition altogether. From what I have read, you need to work your lower body, along with cardio 4-5 days a week. I am just tired of looking at the same legs. I want to see a huge change. Running will only be 30-40 mins max as I don't want to risk burning too much of the muscle in my arms. My lower body has no choice but to respond....I will make it...I will get what I want!!!!!! LOL! There will be a change, and it is coming soon. LOL!
BTW, nice workout today! You still have alot of snow up there where you live?

Charlotte~~

I'm back girls....I ended up doing 30 mins on the rebounder after Firm It Up. Felt good on the legs as FIU is a leg burner for certain! }( }( }(

Now I am drinking some apple juice and then it's off to the showers before the little guy wants out of his crib!;)

Susan, nice work out this morning! How do you do intervals on the eliptical? I used one at the gym and found it difficult to really keep a fast pace up. Is it just a matter of practice?? I think the next time I run I will try it interval style just to see how it is. I'll do a slow jog for a minute and then speed it up for 30 seconds and repeat that cycle as much as I can. When I get tired I'll back off to a fast walk for 2 mins and then start agin. I'll probably last oh...10 minutes! LMAO!!!:7 :7 :7

Tomorrow I plan on taking a morning spin class at the gym for cardio. I'm trying to take every morning spin class available one time each to see what they are all like and which I prefer. :) I have to do an SS work out as well. If I get up early enough, I will do SS before I hit the gym. That would be my hope though it depends on what time I get to bed tonight!

Hey Charlotte - you should buy The Butt Book. I think it also says you need to work it out that much. But it's all about building a butt - not having it be flat. I think it's right up your alley. I think you will definitely get your results because you're SO DETERMINED!!!

No more snow - lots of mud in my driveway. I got stuck going up it last week. Darn it! Everything is pretty much drying out now thanks to the 200mph winds we had yesterday! Sheesh! Did you get rid of all the gravel in your yard?

Wendy - my elliptical has an interval setting and it goes one minute hard, one minute easy for as long as you want to go and whatever level you want it to be. So I don't even have to think - unlike when I'm on the bike. I bet the ellipticals at your gym have even better programs than my home one.

Lori, Lori, Lori - you are basically getting screwed all the way around at work! It'll be good for you to work with the church guy. It will keep you from being too wild! Maybe you could just have a nice discussion about God or you can just keep saying things like, "I know. I agree. Got it." Have you told him you grew up going to church and you're happy you did? Or you could tell him you don't need converting because you're already converted. :)

Susan,

Ya know both the treadmill and the eliptical @ my gym have pre-programmed routines in them. I should try one! Maybe tomorrow because I think my plan to spin has come to a grinding hault! The class is at 9:15 am and it is now 12:15 am and I am still awake!x( My DS is having a bad night and has been up a couple of times since he went to sleep at 9. This is VERY unlike him too. I feel so bad for him. :-( Anywhooo...It just got quiet up there again about 5-10 minutes ago so I'm just waiting a few more and then I'm hittin' the sack. Will probably end up at gym later in the day...I'll let you know what happens if I decide to give one of the pre-programmed work outs a shot!

Have a good night! I'm sure you are asleep already and may not even see this! Oh well...I don't mind talkin' to myself!:p LOL
