Good Morning:)

I bet I am the only one awake:eek: :) Unless someone is up with their babies!:) Its almost 6 here which means its 4:30 where Wendy and Missy live and only 2:30 where Susan lives:) Ill have my workout forgot about by the time Susan gets up!
I set the alarm for 5:30 but I hate a hard time getting to sleep.I started thinking about DH's uncle and then it just started going from there.I started thinking about how important our one and only life is and how short it can be cut, which gives me more reason to always treat others nicely...starting with you girls.Im gonna start being nice to ya from now on!:7 :7 DH's uncle didn't tell us that if his 1 in 4 surgery doesn't work, the Dr's gave him 3-4 monthes;( ;( I can't even wrap my head around it so I don't think about it.

SO I lay in bed for a while after the alarm went off, re-set it for 7 but then I got up.And boy this coffee is good! I am also going to do legs tonight and before I do legs I will get on the treadmill for another little run before I get the burn going.DD is suppose to be going with her step mother and DH may be going out with the boys.Which is o.k with me cause sometimes I like comming home and having the evening to myself.I could workout and then get a bath:) But I know a friend of mine is going out for happy hour and I am not sure how to get out of that one.
I measured just now and I am 27" in the waist,36" in the hips and 33" in the chest.BF% 13.8 which is not to bad. I can remember last fall when my hips were 38 and my waist 29:eek:

Anyway, I should get going.I was going to post the treadmill I had picked out but I just read that Reebok treadmills aren't the best. Now I don't know what to do.I should just go with Proform, I guess....so confused!!!
Lori

:) :)

Hey Lori...we must be on the same schedule today! LOL I got up just before 6 myself! I've been up for about 30 mins now. I couldn't sleep either...I went to bed around 10:30 last night and lie there awake until after freakin' midnight! I finally fell asleep and then woke up around 5 am and basically laid in bed awake until I gave up and went and made some coffee.:9

The situation w/DH's uncle sounds awful. I'm so sorry about that. I have unfortunately lived through many of my family members getting sick (mostly cancer)and dying. It's hard to watch. I'd rather have the big one and be gone FAST!

Still battin' around the treadmill thing, ey? Why don't you post here to see what kind of treadmills others have? Maybe you'll get an idea!

I didn't have time for a full work out yesterday. I only managed to get in my cardio so today I'll be doing LOTS!}( I have to do CTX triceps that I missed yesterday, plus back for today and legs and abs which are to be done daily and then I'm off to the gym for cardio!:7 My plan is to take a spin class but that if that doesn't happen for some reason I'll probably jump on a treadmill. I found a treadmill interval work out in a magazine that I'm going to bring w/me incase I want to try it.:D

Another one here who couldn't sleep in. :) I was actually up looking at yoga and pilate DVDs, have been since before 6. I had a horrible dream, and I don't know what it means. DH's Dad was in it, but he is dead, and there were other people in it that I know but not well, and they were having a contest to see who could dig up the most skeletons in my back yard and garage. It really upset me, and I don't know why I would dream something like that. It was very strange. I have been a little stressed, lately. I think that I have been feeling a long the same lines as you, Lori. Life is short, and I feel sometimes like I am ruining my kids's lives. I don't teach them to be responsible enough, I let them get away with too much, I am not nice enough, I am too hard on them, I DO make them do too much... I feel like I am not helping them to be the best they can be, not helping them reach their full potential, and I feel like it is because I am not doing what is best in life, either. Do I respect and love my husband like he deserves? Do I give him what he needs? I am worried about my house, decorating it, growing some flowers, keeping it clean. All that we have could burn to the ground, and here I am spending all this money to make it look pretty, and most of the stuff in it will just need to be replaced anyways. I am so stressed out. I know these things aren't wrong and there is nothing is wrong with making where you live comfortable, but I feel like it is making me ignore the kids. Oh, this has been so long, and even though I know it isn't true because I do a lot with the kids, I still feel this way. It is so silly. I feel like this at least a few times a year. First I start out angry, like I was a few days ago, then I get remorseful and anxious, like I am now. I just want to do what is right and I am questioning everything I do now. Okay, sorry for that! :)

Lori, how is DH's uncle doing? How is his wife? I continue to keep them in my prayers. And you guys, too. :)

Wendy, YOU WILL LOVE SPIN!!! Of everything that a gym can offer, that is what I miss the absolute most. I am jealous. :p Do you have to pay extra for the spin classes at your gym?

Susan, Sara, Charlotte, and Marcia, hope to see you very soon! :)

Missy

Hey everyone:

I'm here, but not for long. I am going vehicle shopping with DH today so that should be interesting. He got the Blazer's title out to take with us, though, so I'm guessing he's pretty serious. :)

I did SB and Cardio Coach #3 yesterday and I'm wiped today. I'm hoping to get in some weight work when I get back, but I'm not sure what today will bring.

I do have a question for you girls - I love cardio and do quite a bit of it, so do you think I should incorporate the tank top rotation since summer is around the corner??? Would that be a good balance? Or should I still do some leg work even though I'm doing cardio so much?

Thanks - talk soon. Oh, I could do your suggestion, Missy, all those pushups - just thought of that, that would probably be great, too.

Have a great day everyone! I'll be back soon and hopefully with a new vehicle. ;-)

Well,

I just got out of bed 30 min ago!!! My workouts for this week have been thrown out of the window. I have to make up for it this weekend. I think I am going to run outside and do Missy's pushups! If any of you cannot sleep, just take some pain med and you will not want to wake up! I don't know if I can handle to many more of these hydrocortones, or whatever they are called.

Nobody showed up for my class last night!!! Well, one lady showed up, but we decided to just go home. It really bugs me that I am basically doing this class as a favor for these ladies and nobody bothers to call me to say they won't be there. I am thinking about not doing the class anymore. I would rather stay at home and help dh. He has been working like a slave at work. He works at least 50 hours a week and his boss is asking everybody to work on Sat and Sun this week!!! crazy! He leaves at 4am to go to work and does not get home until 5pm. (we have a bowflex at his parent's house next door and he works out there before he comes home.) So, when he gets home, he is bombarded with kids. By bathtime, (for the kids) he is very tired. I like to help him as much as I can. I let him sleep in on weekends and take naps when he needs to. Therefore, I would much rather do favors for dh (that doesn't sound right, huh) instead of these ladies who may or may not show up at class.

Cheer up everybody!!! It is Friday! Dont be so hard on yourselves! You are all great people, mothers, wives, and friends!!

Have a great St. Patrick's Day!

Talk to you all (yawl) later!

I have Hard Body Yoga on my wishlist. I heard that it has elevator music, though, YUCK! I will just put on Enigma or something while I am doing it. I ordered MTV Pilates Mix and Brian Kest complete Power Yoga Collection. I am sooooooo tight from running, and even though I do about 20 minutes of stretching afterwards, my upper body is still so knotted! x( I used to do yoga twice a week and had awesome posture, but now I look awful. :( I can't wait to try the yoga dvd's out! :)

Do you need weights for HBY? What is it like, what poses do you do?

Missy

Missy,

No weights, just a sticky mat. You can do it on carpet, but I like to use a mat. I am not really sure about the poses since I am not real familiar with yoga. But, she does the down dog pushups you were talking about yesterday. She will do 3 normal speed pushups then one for a slow 10 count. Then you repeat that cycle 3 times. She does it in this style for every position. It is like yoga mixed with strength training. It is different from traditional poses. I really enjoy it. My posture and flexibility has improved from this dvd. Plus, it is pretty cheap; I think like $15 or something. I got mine from collage video.

Hi Girls,

Can you beleive I am just getting on? (again:) )The morning went by rather quick and thats great.Hopefully the afternoon will be just as fast! Cross your fingers...nothing like wishing my time away!;(

Wendy, I never thought about posting here. Not that I wouldn't have.It may get over whelming though b/c there are so many to choose from.I know that Proform is a better one and DH can order that one in for me.My real deliema is wondering if I should wait until there isn't another gig out of mine:eek: or just order it and wheel the 1/2 dead one out.You never know with these things. This one acts up every once in a while and then its o.k again. It worked fine today.

Missy, you are a great mom! I feel like that every once in a while to though. So I think its normal.I guess as mothers we wonder when enough is enough.Enough love...enough attention..enough discipline.Remember the girl DD hangs out with that I was whining about? I have been talking to a couple of people lately and as soon as I mention her name, they make a comment that she thinks she is older then what she is.Im never saying anything negative about her b/c this is a small town and I wouldn't want anything to get back to her mom plus, its not my thing to talk about a 11 yr old:p But it just confirms that she is a little boy crazy and that I should probably not let them hang out together as much as they do.Easier said then done though.

Marcia, have fun car shopping!!! By something nice!!!!!!!!

Sara, get those workouts in!!! I can only imagine how hard it must be with 3 kids.Ive never gotten into Yoga, i wish I could though.

Wake Up Charlotte!! And did Susan get her workout in or did she sleep in, what she always does on Fridays!!!

I am just finishing a salad and I am still hungry.I also did a 50 min run in the a.m.I would like to do another 5 miles tonight plus GS legs.We will see.
Lori:)

Hey there ladies!:)

I'm still on a post-SPIN-high!:7 :7 :7 Needless to say I got my arse in gear this morning and made it to the class after doing all of my weights/ab work here at home. What an AWESOME work out!

Missy, spinning is included in my membership, no extra costs involved, thank goodness!;)

Marcia, whoa, SB and a cardio coach on the same day? WTG girl!:7

Sara, have a good run this weekend!

Lori, if I were you, I'd order the new treadmill through DH's store...if you are getting it for a good deal and the one you have has given you it's money's worth then GO FOR IT!}(

Hey, look at that...it's time for coffee now!:p

Later!:*

Wendy...K...Im gonna do it!! I just have to decide which one and my list is home.Hmmm...decisions, decisions!! When we order stuff for ourselves we also get another 30% off so I could get an even better deal.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your workout
Lori:)

Okay, I just had a delicious little snack! I had a french roll that a broke off into pieces and spread with organic goat's cheese. :9 OMGosh, it was good! It has an interesting taste, I can't describe it, but yummy!

My brother came over last night and played games with the kids. Some girl is going to be so lucky to have him someday. He has such a great heart and he loves family, he is very dedicated and is a hard worker. I am a little sad, though, because after college he is thinking about joining the Marines. He is a ROTC now and is doing very well, but I don't want him to leave!

Wendy, glad you loved the work out! Be careful, though, you can get addicted. :p

Lori, 2 five mile workouts in one day? I feel like fainting! I am happy that you are able to still use your treadmill. I know that I would be devistated if anything happened to mine. I am not joking. ;)

Well, I am off to... well, I don't know. I think that I will start another book. I just read a really silly romance book that was hilarious! have you guys ever read Jennifer Crusie? She is so funny. I think that I will read a thriller, though. I have a Tess Garrettson that I haven't read yet. Very CSIish :)

See you again! :)

Missy

Ok girls...I just posted 2 new progress pics...I am wearing the new bathing suit I picked up yesterday! Tell me what you all think HONESTELY! Am I a hot mom or not? LOL ;) I think I look pretty darn good (tho not perfect by any means!!!) but I don't want to be fooling myself and walking around in a bathing suit I have no business wearing so I'm turning to you ladies for opinnions!

Thanks!:)

Wendy,

Girl, you are looking good! You don't have to worry, you got it going on for REAL! You have been working hard now it is good you are coming out and strutting your hot stuff! LOL! Muscular legs you got there! Love the suit! That is such a unique sexy one! I want a new one. Ventured over to Wal Mart today and nothing there. I have to travel farther to get to a mall and might do so soon. JC Penney's have some nice ones.

Charlotte~~

Just jumping in here, I always love reading you guys' thread each day! Wendy, you look awesome!!!! No one would believe you had a baby last year. I really, really mean that. You have nothing to be ashamed of in a bathing suit. Wish I could look that good. My lower body and short legs will never be perfect or even close, I'm just hoping to get rid of the jiggle.

And yes, you are a hot mama!!!! Flaunt it, girl!!! You worked hard for it.

ETA: I cracked up seeing the dog on the bed, that looks like my bedroom, and that would be me taking the pictures in the mirror too. Don't think I could get DH to do it. You made me laugh!

Jeanette

Wendy, you look really good! You should feel good wearing that because you look great in it. I love that Clyde is watching you take pictures of yourself - what do you think that he is thinking? :p

Missy

I took a picture of my suit. I don't know if I am keeping it though because the bottoms are alittle too big, even for my caboose! LOL! I like the front, but EGADS to the back! LOL!

Charlotte~~

LOL Charlotte! I didn't show y'all a pic of my caboose in my suit either as the rear on the suit is kinda skimpy! }( NO, it's NOT A THONG if that's what you are all thinkin'! :p

Anyway, Charlotte, that suit looks hot on you! I guess now you have to decide if you want to trade it in for one with a nice butt!? ;)

Thanks ladies for the nice compliments! You made my day! I needed the extra push to convince me to keep the suit! DH said I look great but sometimes I wonder if he is seeing me from a different perspective seein' he's supposed to be all in love w/me and what not! :p LOL

I still can't get over the fact that I look BETTER now then I did BEFORE I got prego! That just astounds me!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

DH and I are supposed to be goin' on vacation this year to some warm and sunny tropical locale...I can't wait to show of my "Body by Cathe"!!! LOL :+

Anywhoooo, being Joey-less has made me lazy today. After the spin class I lost my steam...I have wasted sooo much time! I just took a shower atleast but now I must get a move on the cleaning!

TTYL!:*

Okay, *gasp* I guess it is my turn.

I also have another one that DH loves, but it is white and doesn't do much to conceal my blinkers when they get cold. And I was cold when I took that picture, so I am not showing it! :p

Wendy, where do you think that you are going to visit?

Missy

As usual, I can't EVEN keep up with this gabfest! I tried to skim your posts. Missy - you are a FABULOUS mom and wife. Please don't ever doubt yourself. I think we all go through this doubting stuff a couple of times a year. I know I do. It gets better as you get older though - at least for me.

Wendy - you look AWESOME!!! You should proudly wear that suit and flaunt your hot bod. You will make the women envious and the men drool. :)

Charlotte - if the butt of your suit is too big, maybe you should wear a thong! You could easily pull it off! Hehehe.

Everyone else - I miss you. I think I need to start a west coast "Moment of Truth" thread so I'm not so far behind by the time I work out and get to work!

I had a work event last night, a meeting today at 1:30 (so I can't leave at noon) and a dinner to go to this evening for work. Boo hoo for me. I did 30 minutes of interval work on the elliptical and 20 minutes interval on the bike this morning. I need to do a weight workout between 3:30pm when I get home and 6pm when I have to leave for tonight's gig. I'm trying to get in more cardio, as you know, so I wanted to be sure to get that done this morning. Wish me luck!!! I just need to kick up my metabolism and drop some weight before cycling season is here.
