Hey Girls!
Well Lori, I couldn't wait around for you today, so I had to workout without you. I tried to get a ride in before the predicted wind kicked in. I thought I had it all under control, as it was so calm when I left my house at 8:20. About 10 minutes into my ride WHAM! I rode directly into the wind for 10 miles because I knew that my 10 miles home would be a breeze (literally). It was tough though and I think my legs got a pretty good workout. But it took me almost an hour and a half to go 20 miles!!! That's crazy!!! Even though I had the wind behind me on the way back it wasn't enough to make up for the trek out there. Oh - I did stop to answer my phone twice because my friend who was supposed to ride with me didn't call until I was already out there. But my two stops didn't take that long. Oh - I did stop one other time, but I can't remember why now. Wait - I remember - I had to blow my nose! It was about 40 degrees and that made my nose run for some reason. Is that TMI???

I also got chased by a big Rottweiler! I didn't hear him coming because it was too windy. All of a sudden I saw him out of the corner of my eye. Scared the crap out of me. I know he's there because I keep an eye on him when I ride out there, but I haven't been out there in a month or more, so I guess I forgot. Luckily there were no cars coming so I crossed the street and was able to out run him - barely!
I'm going to go do a little house cleaning. It's pretty clean, mostly little stuff. Then we're going to leave to go to the Macaroni Grill and the hockey game, as I mentioned yesterday. You're lucky you don't have that restaurant there! It's too tempting. Luckily it's about 45 miles from here in Colorado or we might be tempted more often! It will be interesting though because the friends we're going with - he's a super healthy eater and a big time cyclist (and the manager of our local bike shop) and she's young like you - maybe 26 or so and really, really skinny (oh, like you too!) and I think maybe taller than me - or at least as tall! That will help me to make a smarter choice, even though, as I keep mentioning on these forums, it IS my cheat day!!!
Wendy - if only I could take you to dinner. You seem to ALWAYS make good food choices. I love to hear what you're eating througout the day. You're so disciplined to do that as a SAHM, as I mentioned to you before. Congrats on getting your workout out of the way. You can't wait on Lori since she has the schedule of a vampiress.
Lori - I hope you get a good workout in. I was going to do legs today, but since I had such a tough workout on my legs in that wind, I'm gonna save my legs for tomorrow. Then I'll have to choose a good cardio for tomorrow too. Maybe IMAX 2.
I wonder how Charlotte's doing??? Poor thing.
I'll try to check back here later if I don't get too wrapped up in clean max and beauty max for tonight.
Susan
