Hello Beauties:) :)

If nothing else, this thread helps me realize what date it is everyday!:) But of course, I get more then just the date around this place!

I probably won't be around a whole lot today. My mom is comming into town so I will be out and about with her.
I am going to save my workout for later, whatever that will be.
Thats about it! What a short post! Give me something to talk about.

Lori:)

Hi Lori...

WOW that's an incredibly short post for you! You seem to have the gift for gab so it's rather amazing that you kept it sooo short! ;) :p :)

So what's the work out gonna be today? A SHORT run? Listen to your doc, girlie! I'd LOVE to hear that your are preggie before the end of the year! :+ :+ :+

Have fun with your mom today...where are you headed? SHOPPING!? That's what my mom and I do together ALL OF THE TIME! }( I have to head for the sale racks now (I never used to :-() but that's okay...I'd rather shop sales then not shop at all, right!? ;-)

Today is Mix It Up for me. My rest day yesterday felt great. I didn't stretch though and I should have. :-( My left calf is still DOMS'ing BIG time!

Hope everyone has a great day today...it's almost FRIDAY!:)

Hi Wendy:p :p :p Are you saying I talk to much? I guess you are happy we aren't next door neighbours! You would be out in the drive way with your arms full of groceries and I would be talking, talking, and talking!LOL

Yes, we are going shopping. My mom is like a whirlwind though and she disappears whenever we go somewhere.I turn around and shes gone! Then I spend 20 min looking for her.And she is the queen of bargin hunting. She will even buy garbage just b.c it was $1.
How is the slim series working for you? Hey, when do you have to go back to work? I know the time off goes by super fast.Just wondering, don't mean to pour peroxide on your open wound!!!!
Lori
:)

Hey Lor...your mom sounds like my DH in that he will disappear in a heartbeat on the rare occassions that we are in a store together. It really grates on my last nerve! x( LOL Bargain hunting is cool but buying garbage just cause it's a good deal is a little silly. :p

I don't plan on going back to work atleast until Joey is 2 years old. We plan on having another baby though and I would like to stay home with that one too so who knows. It depends on the timing and how long the $ lasts! ;) I could potentially be home for another 5 years I guess...we'll have to see.

My mom works out of state right now and just comes home on weekends but is probably getting a job by her home again. If she gets this job, she will be living local again which means that I will probably go get a small p/t job (retail)on nights and weekends for a little extra cash. I need her around as a back up baby-sitter just incase I have to work and DH is working O/T.

I like the Slim Series so far...I take it for what it is which is NO CATHE! lol The transitions between certain exercises are about as smooth as rocks! LOL It's pretty boring and she does some of the exercises way too fast for me so I just do them at my own pace when I have to. I definately feel it though! I am glad I bought it. It's something different and I think my body needed that! :)
ETA: I am getting lots of DOMS since starting the SS series and I wasn't getting much of it at all prior!

Off to get a little food and then to work out!

Wendy, how do you like the slim series? Is it fun? I have been venturing away from Cathe and trying different things. Today I am doing Seasun Zeigler's Rock Steady Step, and it looks tricky! I think that I will be tripping all over my step, that girl is dancy! But I am looking forward to the challenge. I can't find much in the way of intensity that Cathe can deliver, but I am having fun and it works for my light days. :)

Lori, I can't believe how short your posts are! Maybe you have something else on your mind, like the guys you emailed you from your picture trail... or maybe it's a girl? :p

I think I am the only girl who doesn't like to shop! I love to shop for other people and for my house, but I hate clothes shopping because nothing fits right. My butt is too big or my waist is too small, my legs are to short, my shoulders are too wide... it is really depressing.;( ;( ;( I think that I am going to go and have a drink now!

Missy

Good morning girlies! I haven't stopped by here in awhile so I thought I'd pop in for a minute and say hello. I too, am worried about Lori's brief posts--LOL! Lori, I hope you have fun shopping with your mom. Maybe if you're really good she'll buy you something:p . My DH also disappears when we go shopping together. Our cell phones come in real handy for that! We go to the grocery store together on weekends and it's like being with a freakin 2 year old;( . DH loves the grocery store and, because our cell phones don't work so well in there, I spend half of my time running up and down the aisles looking for him.

Wendy, that will be so nice for you when your mom gets a job in town. It's so nice that you have a close relationship. I hope it works out for you to stay home with your child/children as long as possible. I think you can't underestimate the value of that.

Missy, I know exactly what you mean about shopping. I can't stand shopping for clothes for all the same reasons you mentiond. Nothing fits me:-( . I LOVE shopping for antiques, though, and there's a big antique show this weekend. I can't wait!

I think I'm going to do one of my TLT workouts today. I really haven't done one yet--just previewed them--because I didn't have the equiptment. I just got my stuff so I'm ready to rock-n-roll.

You girls be good!:7

Michele:)

Michele, how do you like the TLT's? I previewed them and they looked a lot like the Firm. What equipment do you need? I have so much stuff filling our garage now! I am not allowed to get anything else or we will have to find somewhere else to live! :p

Charlotte, hello girl! How are you feeling today? I hope that your cold is getting better. :) I read your post from yesterday, and I am so happy to hear the DD is straightening out! It is really hard as a parent to keep your kids on the right path, there is so much to disuade them. I think that you guys are doing a great job, and even if she hates you guys now, when she is an adult she will appreciate everything that you have done for you and she will realize just how muhc you do love her and will be grateful. Being a good parent means doing what is best for them even if they hate us for it, and it is better for them to hate us now than later, when their lives are screwed up because we didn't step in and guide them.

Susan, come back? Where did I go? I have been pretty busy with my very expressive toddler, no doubt, so I haven't been posting as much these past two weeks. And I was doing some serious post holiday cleaning! Now everything is feeling back to normal again! :) What do you do? What was the meeting for yesterday?

Missy

Missy, I've never done a firm workout so I have no clue what they're like. The only equiptment you need for the new TLT's is the soft weighted medicine balls, a rag or paperplate, and a stability ball. I was waiting for the medicine balls. I oredered a few but the only ones that came were a pair of 2 pounders that I ordered for someone else. My heavier ones came yesterday. These worlouts look pretty good but I haven't done them yet.

Hi for Susan when she checks in! I was wondering what you do to. I sure think you're a nice fit for these forums and I always enjoy your posts.

Charlotte, I also hope you're feeling better.

Michele

Hey Girls!

Missy,

Thanks for the encouragement. DD stayed up all night long doing her school work. She is finially caught up. She got behind when my MIL passed away and she missed school for 3 days. She is doing better I think.

Well my son is home from school today as he is sick with these colds spreading everywhere. I will be spraying clorox all over the place today and making sure I don't miss door knobs either.

I am going to get some pictures up there for you all to see. Some of my pictures in my file are just getting old now and I need to clean house in there too so I think I will do that tomorrow. Today I am just going to do a total body workout off the smith machine. I worked biceps before BC. I felt strong so I did the cheat curls with 70# as 75# strained my forearms last time. I can bring the bar half way down and up 25 times the first go around and then 20 the next. After that even 10# is too heavy for me so I don't get much farther. Everytime I see Jillian's arms on the Biggest Loser, I think maybe I should just try to do the 75# or 80#. I know her body type is different, but I really want more more more!!!! Did you all see the guy on the blue team with his muscles? OMG!!!!!

Anyhow, got to get going and pick up alittle around here.

Have a great day ladies

Charlotte~~

Missy- It was a girl! That was the even weirder part. She said, "I saw your picture on picture trail and you look hot.Sign me up to your MSN and we could have fun there"! hahahaha And it was from Natalielovesguys! hahaha To weird!
Lori:)

Hi Charlotte, hope you don't catch your son's cold!

Lori, so you don't like women, ey? ;)

Michele, have fun with your TLT work out!

Missy, I like the SS series because it's something completely different from Cathe. It is challenging but in a different way. I can certainly feel my muscles working! It has it's down sides as I told Lori but I am sure getting DOMS from it and have dropped a few pounds since I started using them! :)

For my next rotation I am considering doing every work out I currently use one time each in one big rotation! I have to count 'em up and see if I can get a good order going. Will definately be a boredom buster!:)

Off to work out now...DS finally went down for his nap.

TTYL!:+

Wow - this place is busy this morning (well, it's still morning here anyway!). I almost fell off my chair when I saw Lori's short post. That would be like ME doing a short post. There would be something wrong!

Michele, thanks for the kind words. I always enjoy your posts too. I have a really exciting job (not really!). I run the non-credit program (senior swimming, crochet, dog training, etc.) for a community college. I also work with our division's workforce development and business training people and do some of that stuff too. It's a great job because I work with pretty nice people, I have a FABULOUS assistant and a half, I get 21 vacation days a year plus 2 personal days plus the week off between Christmas and New Years plus a bunch of other holidays. And the retirement program is great (see what happens when you get older - you look at retirement programs!). The job itself is not terribly exciting, but the benefits make it worth it. I came here after having a job where I worked in international tourism marketing and not only was the work interesting, I traveled to Europe all the time. So from that to this was an adjustment, but for the better in the end. I wasn't looking to leave my last job, but was recruited away. Otherwise I'd probably still be there. But it was hard to work out with weights on the road since gyms are few and far between. I would run every morning and that's about it. So being home all the time is nice.

Well, that was more than you asked for! I'm making up for Lori's short post.

I did BC yesterday and really enjoyed it. I did Imax 2 today and for some reason it REALLY kicked my butt - I mean more than usual. I was soooo tired when I was finished. But I'd rather feel like that than like I didn't get a good workout at all. Charlotte, your strength amazes me. Keep posting what you're lifting so I have goals!!!

Wendy, let me know how your new rotation goes. Sounds interesting. You won't get bored, I'm sure.

I hope you all have a great day.

Susan
