Good Morning!

How is everyone do'in? I would be doing a bit better if the sun wasn't shining in my eyes but I shouldn't complain b/c at least the sun is shining!:)

I am at work now and I thought I would start this before my boss blows in.
I have my bags packed for Montreal already! :) If I didn't do it last night, then I would have had to rush and do it tonight so I thought I would take my time last night, put outfits together and then pack them.I know things will probably get a little wrinkley but I am sure there will be an iron in the hotel room

I will try to fit a workout in tonight after DD goes to bed.I also have to run over to a friends house b/c she just got home (she was only gone 1 week) but she bought some new maternity clothes and she claims that she as popped out a bit in the last week.Which I can totally relate to.That does happen doesn't it? You go to bed feeling slim and when you wake up...boom...your preggo! Weird how you grow over night!

Anyway....should get go'in! Have a good day everyone.
Lori:)

Hey Lori.

Good for you to get done packing early! I am famous for waiting until the night before I am leaving to start packing! LOL

Have fun!!!:)

Anywhooo...today will be a mishmosh of the GymStyles and SJP hi/lo. This is all a sub for MM and a 20 minute run since I can't do either...one I don't own and the other I am not yet capable of! :p

My plan is to wash my kitchen/bathroom floors today and clean the whole bathroom. I have started pre-planning my chores on a calander in order to get things done around here. If not, I tend to get caught up in something else and the housework tends to be left behind!x( I do laundry like crazy with out the reminder but everything else tends to go kerplewie!;)

TTYS!

Lori, that is true! One day I looked faboo, the next morning I woke up twenty pounds heavier with a big ol' belly! How DOES that happen? I am really excited for you about the trip! It sounds like so much fun! Do you speak any francais? I do not. I wish I did, though. I think french sounds like music, it is such a beautiful language! :) Even if they don't like us. :p I can't remember, is DD going with you? I was meaning to ask you about your treadmill, I think I asked on yesterdays thread. Do you like it? What kind do you have, how long have you had it and what are it's functions (mile counter, HRM)? Anyhoo, have a great time this holiday!!!

Wendy, beautiful Wendy! We have the same plan today! Bathrooms and kitchen. And I have a calendar plan for my chores, too. I thought that I was the only person that did that, now I don't feel so compulsive! I also need it to keep me on track. Otherwise I put it off until everything has to be done at the same time and then I get overwhelmed! Today is bathroom day and kitchen day, and mop the floors! :) Then on Saturday, since there are so many of us so it gets messed up easily, the kids have morning chores and sorta spot clean and dust. They love to dust! :7 It is so cute!

Today, I am running outside with Logan. He loves to be outside, and the fresh air will be so good for us, even if it is only 30. I am going to put the plastic rain cover down on the stroller to protect him from the wind and then throw a blanket over him. He loves to be in the stroller, and when we were in Chicago walking all over the place for hours, he didn't complain one time - he loves it! I am very grateful for that! :) And I didn't have any junk last night, either! I was really feining BADLY around seven for a Caramello. I mean crazy feining! But I didn't go out and get one, so yeah for me! And I didn't bake any cookies in its stead either. I can do this! :7

Charlotte and Susan, can't wait to see you ladies! :) :)

ETA:

Susan, I had a very sweet and very cuddly ROTTWEILER! Looked like a monster, acted like a pussycat! :p And where in Mexico are you staying?

Melanie, are you joining us? YEAH! :7 :7 :7 And congrats on the weightloss thus far, that is incredible!

Missy

Good Morning Everyone!!

I got to somehow squeeze in housework and workouts today! Apparently DH had hidden away some laundry in his suitcase and just when I got done with all the laundry yesterday, yet I have more now! ARRGHHH! I just finished making myself some protein pancakes. I feel like I have a brick in my stomach right about now! LOL! Upperbody workouts I will do today.

Missy,

Good for you on avoiding chocolate cellulite candy! I know you can do it with chocolate protein bars, shakes, sugar free chocolate pudding. There are so many other goodies you can eat that can take the place of cellulite chocolate! LOL! Oh, the cold air is back again! Have fun strolling/running along. I was thinking about getting a stroller for Stinky, our Bulldog. She cannot go for walks/run, but Speck just loves to go. She knows what the word, "run" means. It is so funny to see her get so excited!

Hey Ms. Lori!!! I hope you have a lovely time in Montreal.

Wendy,

Looks like I am not the only one cleaning today! Great workouts planned so what is your new goal after you reach your desired weight?

Susan,

Too excited to post because of M E X I C O????? LOL! Whatcha doing??? More leg presses? Got to get me a bowflex or something I can do leg presses on. Apparently just eating clean is not enough for these stubborn legs of mine. I want more definition to them so I think I am going to go outside in the garage and put myself under the tractor and see if I can push it up with my legs 5 times!!!! LOL!

Charlotte~~
Charlotte~~

Hey Miss Char!:) Is that what you tell yourself about the chocolate so you won't eat it? I think it is! And I will have you know that I don't have any cellulite (YET) and I think chocolate should be one of the food groups!:7 :7 My God..how wonderful life would be!:-(

Glad to hear everyone has a clean house! Soon be lunch time here. All I could find to bring to work was eggos and cottage cheese! Oh well...better then some other stuff I could have grabbed, I guess.

Lori :)

Missy, I would love to know french as well. I don't think the french are overly fond of us either.I think they think we should learn french b/c we are travelling to their turf. And rightfully so but their is no need to be rude about it.Thats one of the things I fear.Going shopping, someone asking if you need help ( in french) then you have to reply back in English or ask a question in english and they probably think that you are totally disregarding their language and assuming that they speak english.Im sure I will manage.:)
My treadmill is now into its 3rd year. Its doing o.k.DH bought it for me as a gift 3 christmas's ago and it isn't as high end as one would like.I don't have incline and its a dial turn instead of buttons. But I was so exited about it that I didn't care and I wouldn't have wanted him to spend 1000+ on one and not know if I was going to use it that much.Up till then I had only ran outside, which I perfer to do and I would take the winter monthes off.It was nice to see that even with the winter monthes off, I could still run in the spring.Cathe workouts really kept my endurance up!
SO the only functions I have is cals burned (don't know how that works) time and mileage. It also has HRM but it only goes by the speed the treadmill is going.SO that doesn't work.I don't think it takes your heartrate, it just takes what your heartrate should be when going at that speed.I could just start walking after running 7 miles and hour and it will give me a HR of a turtle, when my heart is pumping out of my chest. Not sure what the bracd name is.DH bought it on sale for $699, I bet it will live forever!

Lori:)

Missy,

I never planned my cleaning at all until I tried it just last week...when I was working somehow I didn't need to...DH and I would divvy it up between nights and weekends and it would all get done! Now that I am not working, I do 99% of it (as I believe I should) and find it harder to keep on track because of all of the interruptions that come w/having a baby, and all of the temptations of better things to do that come with being a SAHM! It seems to be working for me for now...hopefully it will continue to work! I'm thinking of taking a look at flylady.net to see if there are any tricks that I can use to plan it better for myself.

Charlotte,

I don't know if my TRUE goal is actually going to be reached once I've lost all of the weight on my tracker. I'll have to see how I look and take it from there. I want to be lean and mean!}( I want muscles but I don't want to be all bulky.

Okay, well just finished the kitchen floor, now on to the bathroom floor! Once that is done I have to finish my work out and THEN I'll clean the bathroom! Oh, and I have to eat lunch at some point in there too! :p I am HOPING to get MOST if not ALL of this accomplished before Joey gets up from his nap! Wish me luck!:)

TOODLES!:)

Wendy,

Am I the only one that wants to be bulky? Seems like it. LOL! Of course, I am ectomorphy so I want to bulk. I am going to stay away from the anorexic thread. I have some few strong opinions of my own, but I ain't going there today. I am too busy relaxing listening to Big Band/Swing music while I clean. I am done cleaning all the floors. Now to kitchen, livingroom, diningroom and my bedroom. I don't do the flylady stuff...my OCD won't let me! LOL!

Charlotte~~

Good morning! I'm here! I've been dealing with work issues this morning. Blech!

Lori - I'm so envious of you already being packed!!! I will need to pack early also, as I have a dinner I have to attend Monday night for work and that was my last night here to pack. And I was also going to get spray tanned Monday after work, but now I'll have to leave early to get it done. Oh well! :) I just hope I can get everything done this weekend. And you know we've got that new dog too. He is time consuming right now b/c we have to watch him at all times. So far it's been pretty good. Just a couple of minor fights - or disagreements, I should say. We still don't know how he'll react if one of the birds hits the ground and we need to test this with him on a leash. That will be the biggie as to whether or not he can stay. We can't put them in danger. But he doesn't seem overly interested in them, which is good.

Skinny Missy - we have had 2 Rotties in our past. What great dogs they are! And such big cuddle bugs. :) Pit bulls are the same. Unfortunately they end up in the wrong hands and since they are strong dogs they can do damage. But ours wouldn't hurt a fly! They used to use pit bulls as nanny dogs in England because they were so gentle with kids. I'm so sad that the drug dealers have decided to use them to protect their drugs. :( We do worry if we have to give this guy to the Shelter who might end up with him and how they will treat him. We will do our best to find him a home first. But we're praying it will work out.

Oh - we're going to Playa del Carmen which is about 45 minutes south of Cancun. We rent cars in Cancun and drive down. We got in an accident two years ago - got rear ended by a taxi! There wasn't any real damage b/c we both had those plastic bumpers and that's where we were hit. It smooshed the car a little bit, but it wasn't very noticeable. It's scary to drive there. I won't do it, but DH does and so do his friends. None of us girls drive there though.

I ran on this treadmill at a hotel in Phoenix last year and I had my HR monitor on. I wasn't holding on to the treadmill with my hands, but somehow it kept my accurate HR the whole time. And since mine runs high, I don't think it was where it should be for any certain speed because a lot of people would be passing out with it that high. So how did it know? I had a treadmill for 10 years and when I ruined my body from running I gave it to my friend at work and it's still going and she's had it a couple of years. It was one we got at Sear's for about the same price as Lori's.

Gosh - I feel like I should be home cleaning house! Guess what I'm doing this weekend? Tonight I will give the bird cages a through cleaning (not just changing the paper) since my sister will be birdsitting. Tomorrow night I have to help with a Valentine's Day mailing our animal shelter is doing (ah, how I love being a volunteer and not a board member anymore - the freedom!). So I won't have time to start working on things until Friday. I get my hair colored/highlighted on Friday afternoon. My gray is really starting to show! I'm pretty embarassed, but I didn't want to get it done too early before Mexico.

I would love more muscle tone, but I know that requires less fat! That's when the muscle really shows through, wouldn't you all agree?

I hurt my lower back last night b/c my bird bit the living daylights out of my finger and wouldn't let go and I turned to try to set my finger free and twisted my back. OUCH!!! I'm a bit like an old lady today. I hope it recovers soon b/c I need to lift some weights!

Wow - what a LONG post! I know you're all shocked!

Susan,

Next time just write a book, will ya? LOL! DH and I went to Mexico 2 years ago. Went to stay at the Copacabana Hotel south of Cancun. I WANT TO GO BACK!!!!! Your gonna have so much fun! You have to go visit Tulum if you get a chance. The back roads that the bus takes you on is a really bumpy ride. They served us bananas and beer on the bus! LOL! Well I gotta go finish my cleaning. I still have to workout too!!!!!!

Charlotte~~

Sheesh, Susan, why don't you seek out a publisher for that novel! Just kidding! You are turning into me. I always feel like I write the longest posts.

Now why did your bird bite you? Dan's sister has several birds. One climbs into her shirt and falls asleep hear her shoulder it is so cute! She had an Australian Cockatoo, or whatever it was, and it was HUGE!!! Dan's dad was standing a little close and must of said something that the bird didn't like cause he darn near took his finger off! Birds have sharp beaks, and honestly I am a little afraid of them. The can fly and I can only run. And Hitchcock kinda scared me too. We fear what we are ignorant of, and I know nothing about birds besides they have sharp beaks. You should have DH give you a nice massage for your back. ;)

So, Wendy and Charlotte, it looks like we will be the only ones here next week. That is okay, though. We are the only ones who really matter, anyways. :7 :p

Missy}( (I am not the only one looking to start a fight today!)

Oh...there is a name for people like you but if I say it they may kick me off the boards and I like it here to much!

Susan- I forgot to ask about the bird.Man that must have hurt.I cut my finger the other day and it still as a heart beat!:-( It hurt so bad.Do you let your birds fly around your house? Have they ever pooped on your hear???:7 :7 I would like to see a pic of that please.

I forgot that we are going downhill skiing on Fri so I e-mailed my friend and I told her that I would take a pic for her.I asked her if she wanted a pic of me rolling down the hill, in the tree or in the ambulance??? She only gets one though.Ive never been on a pair of downhill ski's in my life! I bet you though that my legs will be sore the next day, even with all the working out that I do.

Lori:)

Oh, so I see we have a couple of smart you-know-whats here! For your information, I AM going to get that post published. I've already had a few calls on it! :)

Charlotte - we went to Tulum last year. That's where the picture on my picturetrail album is from. We didn't get bananas though! We got ripped! This will be our third year going to Playa. The friends we go with go A LOT. They have made a lot of friends from there. One guy owns these caves and he has done the coolest stuff to them with all kinds of colored lights, etc. It's awesome! The ride back into the jungle is just awful though and really long. It's really rocky. The roof of the Copacabana blew off during the hurricane! Did you see that?

Missy - I think she bit me b/c tensions were high with the new dog. She hasn't been out much the past couple of days (except when I was holding her) and she LOVES being out. I am just trying to make sure the dog is comfortable before we let the birds out. I don't blame her for biting me. She never bites me and so I know something had her riled up. But it sure hurt!!!

No, they don't fly around the house. They are always out of their cages when we're home and they stay on their stands. And no Lori - never pooped in my hair! Whew!
