Hello!!!!:7 :7 :7 :7 Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning...its time for VBS!:7 :7 When I was a little girl we use to go to church camp in the summer time and thats what they use to sing:) :) Now that I have your attention...

How is everyone? Can you beleive we are almost through with Feb! My goodness, where does the time go?
Whats everyones plans for today? I guess Susan is going to work...but for the rest of you SAHM's, are you going to be working out all day?:) I am working tonight and tomorrow night which is going to make the first thing on my list difficult...no eating after dinner.Really, your body doesn't need it, so why do we do it? I will take some fruit or something in case I actually have to work:)

I am doing CTX Tri,Bic,and Shoul today and some form of cardio..but I don't know what. And after lunch, I need to clean the house.;(

Anyway, I will be around for a few more if anyone wants to chat!
Lori:)

Good Morning...

I'm off in 2 mins to start my work out. I have to do Power Hour, 400 walking lunges, 500 sit ups, and 10 sets up 8 push ups. I can't do it all right now but I'm gonna do some of it atleast...

I finally got to bed at a reasonable hour last night so I was able to get my @ss out of bed at 7am this morning. I've had my cup of coffee and my cereal already.:9

Need to get back on track with house cleaning starting today...house doesn't look bad but I haven't gotten back on track since I was sick...it was working so well! I really need to start again!

TTYL!:)

Hi!

Well,....I did not get my lazy but out of bed until 7:20 so I missed my morning workout. Right now, my kids are eating breakfast then I think I will do my stairmaster. I can put on nick jr and that will keep their attention for about 30 minutes. We are supposed to have some nice weather today so I think I will do some walking lunges outside(great idea Wendy...thanks!)to make up for what I missed this morning. I was going to do step blast, core max 2, and some pushups. I usually never do pushups with straight legs. I inherited my mom's tiny bone structure so I have tiny, little wrists. I have always had trouble with anything that puts pressure on my wrists. So...I was going to work on straight leg pushups this morning. Maybe, I will still get a chance...depending on the mood of my kiddos!

Right now I am enjoying my 2nd cu0p of coffee. I swear, some mornings I can drink a whole pot to the point where it will make me sick. But, the next morning, I can't wait to have more! At least my addiction is coffee rather than crack;).

Well, you all have fun with your workouts! Have a wonderful Monday!

Sara

Hi Girls,

Wendy, sounds like you have a good workout planned! And I bet you are at it now.I just finished UB work so I stopped to drink a shake before I move on.I think I am going to do something from the Termintor DVD.That one is jumping out at me.

Sara, I swear I run out of coffee to early in the morning! I usually buy 2 coffee in the morning, one for DH and one for me.I know I could save a lot of money by making my own, but I don't do anything else, so if I can't buy myself a coffee...then whats the point in living! LOL:) Work on those push ups...your abs will feel it to.I read your post last night about your friend who was hung over on Sun, that was a FUN-NY story! That should have been Missy! LOL

I often wonder where you girls get the time to workout.See, (in case sara doesn't know) we have been trying for a baby and somedays I think, when I get pregnant ( I shoud be saying IF) and have the baby, what time will be MINE!!!! Will I workout while they are napping, will I wait for DH to come home from work? I guess I will have to play it by ear.I know Wendy as a good baby, but Im likely to end up with a....oh..I dunno what! But something not good! LOL

Ok..I have to go finish my workout. My arm sure did get a burn!
Lori:)

Its me again:) Im done my workout and I am headed for the shower.
I did Imax extreme and my weight workout as planned.I won't bother doing abs now b/c I will take a dvd to work tonight and do it then.

Lori:)

Lori,

I noticed in another post that you work at an airport with private jets...is that right? (I have slept since then!) I was just wondering the name of your company because my husband makes wood panels (veneer wood) for jets. The company he works for has done the panels for air force one, Ralph Lauren, John Travolta, etc.
Anyway, they work with a company in Canada...can't remember the name, but I wonder if it is associated with your work....

Oh, and the baby thing, invest in a good swing. Most little babies will sleep forever in a swing. I used to put Kylee in her swing when I did my workouts. Then as they get older, you can find a good napping schedule to fit your workouts in. Be prepared for things to change with naps though...you never know with a baby. They go through so much...teething, illnesses, tummy aches. The bottom line is that you will figure it out and get used to it. I used to workout when Bradley (my middle child) was napping and my oldest would either exercise with me or play. That was difficult!!!! Now, I get up (well, except today...mondays are hard) early before my kids wake up. Oh, and you can always walk/run with a stroller. You will figure it out!!!

Sara

Hey hey!

Sara, I bet Lori won't tell you the name of the company (at least not on the forums) since she talks about sleeping, watching movies and working out during her shifts! :)

Well today was the first day of my one body part a day workouts - which are actually more like two body parts. It took me FOREVER! I figured I would do cardio 5 days a week and then the weights. Well, I only did 30 minutes of high intensity cardio on the bike and then I did glutes, quads and abs. For all of my glute and quad exercises I did 3 sets of 15 reps. I did: walking lunges, squats, deadlifts, kickbacks (I think that's what they're called), leg extensions, step ups on a 14" box. I think that's it. For abs I did 20 reps in each set and just kept doing them in between my other stuff. I did crunches on the Bowflex, obliques on the Bowflex and obliques on the floor with a medicine ball (like the side planks Cathe does in Bootcamp I think). I started my workout about 5:40 and didn't finish until 7:30! About 10 minutes were spent trying to remember how to set up my Bowflex for squats - which I never did figure out so I used a barbell. Another 5 minutes were spent upstairs changing from my sweaty cardio clothes into something dry b/c I was freezing!

So...how many exercises do you think you should do for each muscle group on this kind of a plan? Any thoughts? Tomorrow is triceps and shoulders, so I think I'll do 60 minutes of cardio - either a Spinervals video or a Cathe video.

Where's Missy? Hungover??? Hehehe. Missy, that's totally me - two drinks and I wake up with a migraine!

Hey! Its quiet around here today.Whats up with everyone??? LOL

I just woke up from a little nap and it was very little.I hope I don't have to work tonight! RIGHT SUSAN!!!! :p
I was going to get on my treadmill after lunch, but I think I am going to bail on that idea. Its 4 now and I have to leave for work in 2 hours.Plus, I need to get dinner ready.

Sara, I don't think your DH has anything to do with what I work.We are just a refueling stop for private jets but thats not to say that some of those jets aren't related to your DH's work.I just wouldn't know.
Here is a link to where I work, its pretty basic.I bet you can tell which one I am :) www.avitatgander.com

Susan, you had a good workout! I don't think one body part a day will take that long. Its just that legs is a big body part.Well, it is 1/2 of your body!:) Other body parts you should be able to do in 30 min or less.My UB has never been so sore.Just when the pain goes away, BAM, I hit it again:) Get ready tank tops! Im a com'in!

I think Missy is out with another group of friends drinking wine today.I thought thats what she said she did on MOndays:) Gets her going for the week.;)

Anyway, I should go straighten my hair and see whats on the shake for supper.
Lori:)

You guys are too much fun! Thank you for making me feel so welcome!

Everybody's pictures are awesome. I will try to do a pic trail so you all (see, there I go with the you all stuff) can "meet" me.

Hi Lori, Sara, Charlotte, Susan and Missy!:)

I spents lots of time cleaning this morning and then lots of time this afternoon with Joey. He didn't get a good nap and consequently was very much in need of his mom for a while...he would be okay when I was with him but if I walked away-WATCH OUT!!!

To answer your question Lori, when Joey was a real newborn, it was easy to work out (once you got past the lack of sleep!LOL)because I would just do it in between the first 2 feedings of the morning which were roughly 6am and 10am. As he got a little bit older I would put him in his bouncee seat where he would either sleep or play for hours at a time so I could work out w/o interruption MOST of the time. Sometimes I would have to stop to console or amuse for a minute but usually he stayed quite content and I could get my work out done.:) Once he stopped sleeping so much (and still now), I either work out before he gets up (thankfully he's a 9 to 9 sleeper so I don't have to work out at 6am to get it in before he gets up!)or during nap time which is usually a span of about 3 hours. Lots of times if my work out is going to go over an hour I will split it up between a.m. and nap time.

So I did Power Hour in full before Joey got up this morning. When he went down for a nap I did 200 walking lunges, 450 sit ups/crunches, 6 sets of 8 push ups, 200 jumping jax, 2 minutes of jump rope and some calf stretching...I have to do some more of all of those tomorrow plus KPC.

I'M ALMOST DONE WITH THE JANUARY ROTATION!!!!!WOO HOO! ONLY 3 more days including tomorrow! YEAH!:7

Okay Sara - we are all anxiously awaiting your pics so we can put a face to your name. :)

Lori - I can't get that link to come up. Maybe it's down??? Where is it - maybe I can do a search for it.

Gosh - work pics and now growing up pics. What WILL you think of next???

Where the heck is everyone today? I've been SWAMPED at work, but not to worry - I'm sacrificing to be here. Hehehe.

Susan, it helps if I give you the right link! www.sunsetbandb.com
There thats it! You don't have to look at it if you don't want to, there isn't anyone standing behind you, twisting your arm!:p

Wendy, I use to babysit my neice when I was only 15.The buns of steel workouts were big back then and I use to do them everyday! I was a little crazier back then, then I am now.But thats a whole different story! So...I use to try to get a workout in while she napped, but the kid took power naps. She could live in 10 min naps.So I would just be getting started and thats it...it would come to a complete stop! Looking back on it now, I babysat the WHOLE "F'IN" summer and do you know what I got paid? She complained when she had to give me $100! Can you imagine? Lets see what that works out to shall we? HAHAHA, I got paid $2.80 a hour! HAHA I think I am going to go back and ask for the rest of my money!!!! LOL

DH and I were talking about babies today.Friends of ours had a baby and his life came to a complete STOP.I know it is somewhat normal but I mean, he did not move and if he went out, she went out the next night. So another set of friends are now expecting their first and we were talking today about how his life is going to change. Not as bad as guy #1 but still things change.I told DH, as long as he gave me 90 min a day to workout, I would be happy!:) Making plans already!

Lori:)

WOAH! am I behind!!! There was lots of info put out here today! Let's see:

Wendy, girl, your poor legs! I can't wait to hear how you feel tomorrow! My legs hurt just thinking about it!

Susan, looks like you are working hard! :p When I did one part per day, I usually did 3 seperate exercises three times each to fatique. Except for bi's, of course. I only allowed for a minute of rest between sets, and it took me about....... fortyish minutes I think. So for back I did: bb rows x3, pullups x3, 1 arm rows x3. For shoulders upright rows x3, side lateral raises x3, rear flies x3. I would just try to use different exercises each week if I could. Except for bis. What can you do for thoses babies besides curls and hammers? :) So, how is work after being on vaca?

Sara, did you read my post a couple of days ago about teaching classes? And you are not lazy. Anyone who has three young kids has earned sleeping in, IMO!

Charlotte, thanks for the quicky! It was brief, yet still satisfying! :p

Lori, I can see you singing your precious little heart out! The kids did VBS and Layne was cracking everyone up! He was standing next to this kid who couldn't keep his hands to himself. He kept on teasing the little girl in front of them and she didn't like it. Layne kept telling this kid to quit while everyone else was singing. This kid was ignoring Layne, so he finally had enough and yelled "STOP IT!!!" and pinned the kid's arms down to his side!!! What a hoot! :7 You can guess who the girls like! But you know what is funny? He isn't the least bit interested in anyone. That is my boy! :D

And just to get it on the record: I WAS NOT HUNGOVER!!!!!! I actually was sick. You wanna know how I know that I was sick? Because now DH is sick, and so is my nephew that I was chewing on all day yesterday. And so is DD. I got everyone sick with my wine disease. So, I AM NOT AN ALCHOHOL WIMP!!! YEAH!!! :7 :7 :7 I would feel terrible if I had everyone praying for me while I was throwing up last night's drinks, though. That is toooooo funny! LOL!!!

Yesterday, I did a five mile run (I kept wanting to run into the bushes and puke, I didn't though, because I was punishing myself for being hungover, which I wasn't :) ) and today I did an upper body circuit workout. I split up Gay Gasper's Cardio Crazy into segments like this: first back and bi, then chest and tri, and then shoulders. It was about 80 minutes. I am feeling a lot better, but I still feel weak and tired. I think I will go have a glass of wine! :p

I am going to start no sugar on Wednesday, the first of March (did I just say that?) so tonight I am eating some turtles that DH brought home for me. I will have to tell you guys what he said to me. Remind me, it is incredibly sweet!

Well, I am running off to relax since it was a BUSY day today!

Missy
