Hi girls!!!!

I missed you ladies this weekend! I've been out a lot so haven't had much time on the boards. When I was on I would check for this thread but didn't see it so you all must've been busy too I guess.

Michele, I believe you and DH were going to be gone a couple of days for the funeral. How did that go? How are you feeling?

Lori, I think maybe you were working nights this weekend?

Missy, no idea what your plan was but hope you did something fun with your kids!

I hung around at home friday night.

Saturday I was supposed to meet up with Kali and Robin but it had to be cancelled at the last minute :-( so I finished up my Christmas shopping with my mom and DS while DH worked some O/T. PERFECT! The man is out making the money and the woman is out spending it at the same time! Don't ya just love how that works!;) Happy to report my Christmas shopping is OFFICIALLY DONE so now all I have to do is finish wrapping! WOOT WOOT!:+

Yesterday I worked my little side job for a few hours and then met up with DH and DS at my mom's for dinner.

And that was my weekend!

TTFN!:+

Good morning Wendy and all,

Wendy, thanks for asking about the funeral. It was a beautiful service--a real tear jerker. I was overwhelmed by the vast numbers of people that came. I had no idea that my uncle had so many friends! It was a Catholic funeral and his grandchildren all took part in the mass. One of his granddaughters read a paper she had written for school about her hero--her grandfather--and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Friday, after the visitation at the funeral home, we all returned to the hotel and stayed up half the night toasting and telling stories about my uncle. It was very uplifting. I'm sure going to miss him. He was a great uncle and a wonderful human being.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I have soooo much to do and I'm way behind after being gone all weekend, so I probably won't be posting much for the next day or two while I catch up.

I noticed that you didn't get to have your GTG. I'm so sorry--I was looking forward to the pictures! I hope you have a chance to make up for it real soon.

Take care all!

Michele

Hi Girls,

I have just getting my lazy a$$ out of bed:) Last night was a hard one! I had a plane at 2:40 which is right smack dab in the middle of my night. So I took a little nap from 12:30-1:30 and then again from 5-6 and I was so sleepy when I got home.I don't think I moved.
A friend called me last night and wanted to know if I wanted to go into the city today for alnight. She had no reason to go but whated to do some shopping.I didn't really want to go b/c I have so much to do here and I would have felt bad for leaving DD home after working all weekend and not seeing her much.I also didn't want to spend any unnessacary money. So when I listened to the news at 6, its calling for wind and rain right across the island so I knew I could get out of going:) Who wants to be on the road like that if you don't have to be? Not I!

I have no idea what my workout is today.I have to get my coffee first:9 I will get one when I take DD back to school in about 20 min:)

Wendy- Good to hear you have your shopping done! I don't;( And you have it all figured out.Just the way I like it.DH working and Im spending the money! :) We need to put up our real tree this week but I don't know when. This weekend is going to be fairly busy so maybe we will get one tomorrow and put it up sometime this week.

Michele- I didn't realize that the funeral service was this weekend. Its good to hear it was a nice service though.

Missy and Charlotte- WHERE ARE YOU????

Must go get dressed and make myself look presentable (sp?) for the coffee shop.

Hey, all! How are you? I am so sorry that I am getting on late. You are going to think that it is silly, but I was building a house on Sims 2. I love it! It isn't quite my dream house, but it is really pretty. That took up most of my morning, then with chasing around Logan.... ;) This weekend, we didn't do much. Dan took out Layne for their guy time. They went to get their hair cut, to get lunch and then took in a movie. Layne really needed that. The only boy around here for him to play with is a year younger in age and YEARS younger in maturity. Mariah has 4 girls on our street alone that are her age and grade, so he feels left out a lot. ;( It really breaks your heart!

Lori, I sure hope that you get to sleep today! I am happy that you got out of going shopping, but can I ask you... have you ever just come out and said a flat-out "no"? :p You are such a nice person, I remind me a lot of myself before I had more kids. Always afraid to hurt someone's feelings. :D After I had my boys, I realized that people weren't so interested in what they could do to help me, or didn't even care how I felt, so "no" because a very permanent word in my vocabulary! }( }( }(

Michele, isn't it comforting to know that your uncle was so loved and had an impact on people's lives? He sounds like such a terrific man. Don't feel too stressed today, and take it easy if you can. :)

Wendy, I am sorry about the GTG. I think that our storm blew over to you! We got 8" here on Thursday night, so they kids had no school. The roads were AWFUL! About DH working, I figure I earn my keep, so I deserve every penny I spend, which honestly isn't that much. The largest purchases I have made in the last 5 years has either been for him or my Cathe DVDs. You know what, I deserve to dosomething! Next time you go out, bring me with! }( }(

I am doing HCX #1, but am modifying it to be upper body only. I am adding many pushups. }( :p  I will let you know how I feel tomorrow!

Missy

Missy- Im glad you could break yourself away from sims 2!:p And come join the real world! I have that game for DD for christmas.I think she will enjoy it.She also wanted some computer games but DH said no b/c it really effects the computer. So she will just have to play her gameboy games.Poor thing;)
I have trouble saying no.It is a hard word for me to muster up.She just called again and wanted to know if we wanted to go to the airport christmas party this weekend. And I know we have to much on our plates to go.Her DH is an accountant but also owns the restaurant at the airport and she is a pharmasist. Now do you see why she likes shopping?:7  She really wants me to go and I don't know what to say.I will ask DH and maybe he will be up to going. Its not that I don't want to go but I'd rather not...hahaha She is a nice person though.Even though money is not an option she is not caught up in the "im better then you" attitude like the rest of this town.

Anyway, I must go workout. Its 3 and I haven't done anything yet.Oh...yes I did:) I went and bought DH a set of speakers for christmas.I will probably buy him a few dvds now and then thats it for him.Went way over my budget on this one.Oh well...he is worth it.And I know he will enjoy listening to U2 on christmas morning with new speakers.
Lori:)
