Hi girls!

Today is a rest day for me so no work outs!:7

Well I woke up late today because I didn't realize it was change the clocks night so when I opened my eyes and saw 8:30am it was really 9:30am! UGH! x(

After my awesome work out at the gym yesterday I proceeded to eat a fattening italian dinner out with DH and then came home, had a couple of beers w/him outside (since it was so nice out...a little cold at night but still pretty) and then shoved pretzels in my face while watching tv until I finally put a stop to the madness by going to bed at 11!x( x( x(

Today I am going to my SIL's for her B'day so I know my eating is going to be atrocious there too!

What is everyone else up to today?

I was hoping to get up early and get some grocery shopping done before we have to hit the road around 1pm but I don't think that will happen now...My kitchen floor needs to be washed so I will probably stay home and clean instead...oh joy! lol :p

Went to Kohl's yesterday afternoon with DH and he picked up a pair of running sneakers...he claims he still intends to hit the gym w/me (and possibly join himself) despite his wimping out yesterday plus he needed a new pair of white sneakers anyway. He only has black ones currently and he can't run in them...they'd kill him.

I also picked up a few summer tops for Joey and a couple pairs of pj's as his current one are 1)gettting to small 2)too heavy to wear in the spring. I couldn't go nuts though as his B'day is in May and I know he'll get TONS of stuff then.

Oh well..I'll stop the babble now...must get busy...I'll be back later!:*
 
Hello, my friend! I am writing from North Carolina. We drove almost all night, are incredibly exhausted and are having a fabulous time so far! I will check in on you wonderful ladies later! :)

How sad...the only one who has posted here thus far today (and it's almost 12:30pm!!!) is Missy who was up all night driving to her vacation destination so should rightfully be fast asleep!!!!

Good morning everyone!

I was up at the crack of dawn, despite the time change. So I figured I'd get online and order some new birdie toys. And man did I score on some good deals! I LOVE when that happens. My birdies will be so happy.

Today is a rest day for me too. Woooooo hooooooo! Lately I've been skipping my Friday workouts so I end up not resting on Sunday. Sometimes it's nice to have a weekend day where I don't have to do anything I don't want to do.

We're meeting my mom and her hubby at Red Lobster for lunch. It was actually our gift to them for their 3rd anniversary, but she had just had knee replacement surgery and couldn't go (actually, we would normally have taken them). So I told her when they go to let us know and we'd try to meet them there.

Other than that - not much to do today. My house is clean and the bird cages are sparkling. Maybe I'll actually sew that skirt I've been meaning to make. :)

Missy - how nice of you to check in. I hope you have a fabulous time!

HI Girls!

I have been up for a while but I sat and drank my coffee with DH.Then I decided to go to the drug store and pick up a high lighting kit for my hair:) I usually get my hair done by a hairstylist but I figure...since I am one...why not? I had professional color here anyway so I just needed the kit. I am hoping it won't take to long b/c i want to get my workout in plus, i get very bored sitting here with color on my hair! Everytime I do it on my own, i wonder WHY?????????????? You can't really do much with it on your head. I did think about lifting weights while the highlights were on, but I think I would be asking for trouble.

Missy, glad to see you made it safe and sound! That must have been a long drive.Take lots of pics!!!!

Wendy, you've been a bad girl? And you even plan on being bad again today? I can't beleive it! LOL You seem to have a great relationship with all of your family members, which is awesome.We spend alot of time with family to but most of them don't live near us now.But when DH's sister comes home, we go to his mothers house every night for dinner! And I am the same way with my sister, when ever she comes home, we spend as much time together as possible.Its a little hard when I am working tough.

Now who is babbling? Depending on how long my new hair color takes...I am hoping to atleast get a long run in! Wish mew luck!

Hello everyone:

Well - we had a huge crowd at our anniversary party at the bar. Our workers made great tips and I think everyone had a good time. I did, actually indulged more than normal and am feeling it this morning. I wish I wouldn't have had so much fun sometimes I pay for the next day and then wonder if I said something to upset somebody :) Oh well, if I did they probably don't remember either:p

I don't think I'll get a workout in today, it's rainy and cold outside which is a good day to sneak in a nap.

As soon as I'm feeling a little better and get over my fear of saying something bad last night I'm going to straighten out my life, get it back in an organized fashion. Continue to eat right - exercise - feel good!

Susan, we were posting at the same time. How did the picking up poop go? :) I hate to see whats in store for me under all taht snow! DH picks it up though so Im not worried about it!

Marica, glad to hear you had a good time.Ive been like that before to...not sure what I have said to others.I don't make an habit of offending people I when I am not drinking so I doubt I do it when I am drinking.Not that I drink very often, Ive only had a couple of drinks since Jan.I said to DH yesterday..."remember when we use to drink every Sat night!" There was a bunch of us who would get together every sat night and have a party..I thought that was the life back then.I wouldn't be caught dead at it now.

My hair is on its last process.I put the highlights in and I turned orange/blonde! Eek! Thank goodness I had some color in my cupboard that I could throw over it and nutralize the orange and its working wonders.Actaully, its already turned blonde but I am letting it sit for a while.

Must go check it out!

Don't even worry about it. You don't seem like the kind of person who would offend anyone. I always have that remorse the day after I have one too many (which for me is usually 2 or 3 - hehehe). But you're right - no one else would remember anyway.

Lori - you are a brave girl. If I ended up with orange/blonde hair it would have to stay that way b/c I wouldn't know what to do to fix it. This week I go back for another round of going back to my red hair. :)

Susan, I paid to know what to do next.I still have student loans I am paying offx( I knew what to do with it, I was just lucky to have what I needed in my house.

I didn't workout after.By the time I fixed a few strands of hair, I thought I should just relax (some more:) ) and straighten my hair to see what the color looks like.It turned out quit well actually, I am happy with it.It desperatley needed to be done.

Lori - you KNOW how we are. We want to see pics of that gorgeous hair! You're right - you did pay to know what to do next. Good thing!!! Otherwise you'd have been orange.

I just talked to my dad and his wife was babbling nonsense in the background and doing this sort of operatic like "singing" if you can call it that. It's so sad. I feel awful for my dad. She seems quite happy, but she's just in la la land. She's cleaning out all of his drawers and taking his stuff. He said she has her pockets full. She'll show him something of his but then won't give it to him. He was chuckling about it, but I just can't imagine what it must be like. He said he'll continue to take care of her though. He did say the incontinence is really difficult.

The puppy had accident #2 today. Luckily though he peed on the hardwood floor and not the carpet. We were in the kitchen and he just started to go. Our fault - we probably should have taken him out. I think it had been an hour or so (which he could hold, but I'm not sure he doesn't really know it's bad to go in the house since this is only his second time in a week and a half). He's doing so well. We were meant to have him. He's just the perfect little guy. He's not as hyper as most puppies, but he does like to play, so that's good. I'm so glad the Shelter called me!

Alrighty, back to trying to be productive!

Thanks for all the replies, I feel better about last night and doubt I said anything bad. I was very disappointed that my only brother did not show up and I know I told quite a few people that I was upset, so I guess if that gets back to him - it is the truth.

Anyway - enough already on that.........

I've always wanted to color or highlight my hair, but just never have. My hair is a light to medium blonde and it bleaches out so much in the summer that it looks like I dye it anyway. I was going to use a gift certificate that I receive for my birthday to get my hair highlighted as a reward when I lose my first 20 pounds. I have a ways to go, but i thought that would be a great thing to look forward to.

Susan: sorry to hear about your dad's wife, what is she suffering from?
