Hi Cathe,
I recently had emergency surgery to remove my spleen. I will begin my fifth week of recovery over memorial day weekend. Doctor has cleared me for light/moderate weights (8 & 10 pounds). Is there a way to modify your weight work without having to lie on a weight bench and still get the same effect on the muscles. I can't really lay flat on the floor or a bench as my incision runs from the middle of the breast bone to below the belly button and it really pulls and is painful if I try to lift in that position. I don't have a problem lying flat in bed. It's when I lift a weight in that position that it pulls and hurts. I'm particularly thinking of the compound exercises in Pure Strength. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
