Moderately healthy eating, March 16

SRP

Cathlete
Hi, everyone.

I didn't do very well last night, and I'm blaming it on PMS. It's a legitimate excuse, isn't it? Mom brought over cookies. Why does she do that? Yes, I ate them. They were fabulous.

Today -
B - PB toast on ww bread. I didn't want it, but it's all I had time for
L - baked potato and mixed veggies
D - something tomato-based. Maybe soup.
Snacks - I need fruit. Lots of it. But all I have right now are oranges.... sigh.

Morning!

I had cereal last night and went to bed early.

B - mixed cereal with banana and soy milk
S - apple and 7 grain toast with pb
L - brown rice and chick peas with salsa and lf cheese, lf yogurt
S - steel cut oats with raisins and cinnamon
D - not sure - I need to go grocery shopping

I didn't work out last night (BAD Shelley). I'm not entirely sure what to do tonight. I have a run on the schedule, but I'm not running for the rest of the month to try to rest my hip.

Good Morning Shelley & Shannon:

Yesterday I did pretty well except for a couple of thin mints that jumped in my mouth after dinner! 2 won't ruin my day.

Here's the menu today:

B 1 egg & 3 whites scrambled w/ a little cheese. Locarb toast, grapefruit.
L - Tuna sandwich with an apple
S - protein bar.
D - either subway or may go out with a friend. Hubby has a business dinner.

Today I did Karen Voight core pilates (I think that is what it's called). I am beginning to really like this DVD. It's the only pilates I can handle right now and my back seems to finally be getting stronger. yeah!
Shelley what is the problem with the hip? Be careful, I ignored a sore hip for a year or so and continued to do my Nordic Trac. I should have "crosstrained" more I think. That may have been a warning sign for my back problems. Just be careful!

I am going to walk about 2 miles at lunch.
If I don't go out to dinner I will do PUB tonight, IF I do, I will push it to Saturday.

Have a great day ladies.

Paula

Paula - I've been having problems with my left hip ever since I ran 12 miles back in January. I had a disastrous run last weekend and so I've decided to give running a rest for a bit. Nothing else hurts it.

Hi gals. I had a good day yesterday up until bedtime where I had 4 spoonfuls of PB. Argghh!!!! Shelley, do take it easy. I hope your hip feels better soon.

B: ham, lite english muffin, coffee
S: kashi w/ff yogurt
L: soup, apple
S: protein shake, apple or banana???
D: roast beef, 1/2 c. potatoes, veggies
S: ??? maybe oatmeal

Walking 3.5 miles at lunch and doing S/H biceps and triceps tonight.

Have a healthy day all!

Shelley - I'm glad nothing else seems to bother your hip! That's how it was with my knee a while back - I was fine until I tried to run. Then Boom. It hurt all over again. I really think it's the non-stop repetitive motion. Step has so much variety that individual body parts don't have time to even think about injury! Just keep the hip joints limber and flexible, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're back out and running when the nice spring weather settles in.

Hi-

Ok, I just deleted a negative feeling paragraph here. Now I shall be positive folks!

I shall be more focused and more positive from this point on.

Today
B- english muffin light with ff cream cheese
S- none
L- greens & beans leftovers and 1 slice sprouted bread with mild ajvar spread (egglant and red peppers and garlic)
S- fruit & ff yogurt
D- perhaps clams and Linguini
s- tea

Well, my appetite sure is weird today. I had a light snack of some nuts, but now at lunch I'm not even hungry. I couldn't even finish an apple. That's just plain weird for me. I cut up the baked potato I had planned for lunch and dumped it, along with the veggies, into the crock pot. Will turn it into soup for dinner.

What a novel feeling, to not feel hungry.
