Moderately Healthy Eating 3-27

SRP

Cathlete
Hi, ladies! Hope you all are well and happy....

I did pretty good this weekend but ended up having a bit more dessert than planned. Darn it.

Today:
B - yogurt with flax seed; orange; soy milk
S - apple
L - big salad with beans
S - walnuts, maybe cubed Jack cheese
D - more beans, probably with brown rice. Should I have carrots or broccoli? I suppose I could do both!
S - butternut-rasin muffin if I get too hungry before bed.

Good morning Shannon and all to follow. I did ok this weekend. The only junk I had was a couple handfuls of chips when I was over my parents.

B: 2 high-fiber muffins, coffee
S: 3oz chicken, steamed veggies
L: salad (spinach, cucumbers, onion, tomatoes, dill, cilantro, black beans, white kidney beans, 3oz chicken) and ff raspberry vinagrette
S:1c fruit, 1/2 c. ff cottage cheese
D: turkey hot sausage, lite roll, baked sweet potato, asparagus
S: apple, 2 high fiber muffins

Can you believe that ALL that food only adds up to 25 points??? The plan that I'm following allows me 25-28 points a day and I'm losing about a lb a week.

Have a great day everyone! :)

Hi healthy friends :)
Dana- great job on the losing steadily!
Hi Shannon
I got a chance to experiment with vegan eating away from home this weekend. Friday DH and I had dinner out. I chose hummus with bread to dip plus a salad. I did enjoy a glass of wine too. Saturday night before the concert we ate out also. The girls and I ate at a pita shop and we all chose pitas with hummus and loaded veggies by coincidence. Again easy.

Last night I made a family dinner with whole wheat pasta and marinara, salad, and eggplant parmesean made light and with soy mozzerella, and baking the eggplant not frying . Everyone enjoyed it. oh, and we had a nice cabernet last night too.

Good Monday, Ladies:
I guess my weekend was like Robins, not too bad but couldn't be called "good". That's ok, Sunday is my cheat day and sometimes that is how I get through the week. If I really want something and I have to deny myself, I can always tell myself you can have so and so on Sunday if you REALLY want it!

Today is like this:

S - rice cake pnut butter
L - tuna on pumpernickel, pear
S - cottage cheese, hi fiber crackers
D - Whatever hubby makes, Hope it's moderately healthy (it usually is)
S - protien shake (if I workout)

This morning I walked/jogged 3 miles and I feel great! Tonight will be pyramid upper body.
Have a great week, everyone.
Paula

L- grilled chix with 1/4 c brown rice and veggies

PS-has anyone tried the Bob Phillips "eat for life" plan?

Hi Everyone,

It was snowing here awhile ago, those great big wet flakes...now it's pouring rain. Good Grief...and they call this spring.

B=cottage cheese and a handful of pistachios

I am on the run today, computer in hand. Dh is back working so I'm back to being a full time vp who is underpaid and overworked, and on my first day 'back' too. x( Hate tax time.

I didn't get a workout in yet today either but will when I get back home later today.

Have a great Monday everyone! :)

Hey Judy - congrats on your success with eating out vegan style! I've got beans on the menu this week. I cooked up a full crockpot of them this weekend. This should be interesting.

Judy - ugh. What a hideous thought. I may stick some of them in the freezer and wait until much, much, much later. :)
