I read that point of view in "The Schwarzbein Principle II," a lifestyle/diet book by endocrinologist Diana Schwarzbein, MD. Some of what she wrote definitely made sense to me. However I have found that I cannot lose weight without selecting low/nonfat dairy, since I avoid red meat, am allergic to soy, and can only eat so much fish and chicken breast in a day. I do make a point to buy *organic*, free range low/nonfat milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. I am hoping that counts for something. ;-)
When I meet my weight/BF% goals, I intend to gradually transition back to whole dairy products as I move in to maintenance mode.
