Messages too short?

Why am I getting a message when I reply to a post saying my message is too short? I've never seen this before. My message was probably about 50 words and it said I had to add at lesat 10 more words for it to post.

There is a minimum character count required by the forum software. It's the same as it has always been though.

That's weird. I replied to two of the check in forums I belong to and both asked for 10 more characters. The post itself had at least 50 words in it if not more.

I copied and pasted it from another forum, but I have always done that. Could that be the problem?

Debbie: I know that messages that are quoted (and appear in quote boxes, like the one in you last message) do not count towards the 10-word minimum word count. Don't know why cut-and-paste messages would, though.

It only did that when I added the other words to add 10 more words. When I clicked on send it put my original in that box like I was quoting myself. It's weird. It seems to be ok now, I haven't had anything happen for a few days.
