Good Morning,

I just got back from taking DH to the airport. He will be gone until Monday evening. I took today off from work to do some organizing around here..I plan to workout a little later.

What is everyone up to today?

Deb

Morning Deb and all.

Deb, he's not flying American, is he? I'm watching the news and thanking my lucky stars that all these flights weren't cancelled last month when we were flying American. We are supposed to fly them it June too. What a mess!

I'm sipping coffee and preparing to go meet a friend for bagels. I have to check in at work too. A coworker was sick yesterday and if she is still sick today, I told them I'd come in for a bit to help out. I hope they don't need me, but on the other hand, a couple hours of overtime would be nice. No workout again today, but I'm aiming to get started again tomorrow, when I'll be done with the meds.

Hi to all you other melters. I be back later to see what you are up too. Especially Shelley, who knows how worried I get when she is MIA.

Hello Melters.

More snow is in the forecast again, this time for Sunday. Cold, wet, rainy, and possible snow from now till Monday. Friday will be alot warmer but weather more dangerous.

Last night, I did LM and followed up with CM #3. Tonight will be HSC and preview all of #2 on HCE. I previewed #1 last night. Glad, I exchanged orders.

No mice hunting last night so it was quiet around the house. More spring cleaning for the weekend. Shredding docs is the big one now.

Have a Great Day!!

Hello, all you lovely Melters!

Deb - what a lovely way to spend the day, at home organizing! Really. I love that kind of stuff. I hope you have a great day. And I hope your DH has a safe flight.

Robin - I hope you don't have to go into work. OT pay just isn't worth messing up a day off. Enjoy that bagel!

Jennifer - you had a good workout last night! I'm glad you had a quiet, mouseless night.

Last night I did Imax 2 without any modifications! My calf was fine with all the jumping, and oh boy was it fun! I gave it a really good stretch afterwards (2 full minutes!) and will keep it up today, just to be safe.

I guess it's a good thing I had such a good workout, because I also ate more of Mom's cookies. :9

Today will probably be pretty rough, weather-wise. Practically the entire state is under a severe thunderstorm watch, and they say we've got a pretty good chance for tornadoes. Maybe the power will go out for a few hours so I won't have to work. ;)

Good morning all!

Robin, oh dear, I had no idea about that antibiotic thing. I got prescribed the same ones it starts with a "c" for my oral surgery, and I have to take them before I have dental work done because of the hip replacement. I stopped them after my oral surgery-the nurse told me I could, and had a few left. You know your stuff, and will listen to you-know I wonder if the nurse was incorrect. Thank you so much! The last thing I need to is to cause other health issues because I am randomly popping pills right?((hug))thanks for caring.:)And yep, I kinda figured it had something to do with "honeymoon cysitis!"}( heehee. It was worth it though. Enjoy your bagel with friends, sounds like fun!

Deb, organizing? Isn't it funny how we feel that urge to purge our closets and clean as soon as spring hits? I need to attack my closet and give away old clothes to the Salvation Army...

Shannon, please keep safe. I used to live in Oklahoma years ago, and we were always watching out for tornadoes. I hated living like that, please be safe!

Jennifer-can I borrow your kitties for a minute? I think we have a mouse in the house! I have a guy that comes out and does the pest control thing, but it sounds like your kitties would take care of my problem alot faster.:)

Shelley! I kinda figured your absence was a PMS thing. You know what? Go get your hormone levels tested. I understand how terrible PMS feels and my doc discovered I am low in progesterone which can cause horrid PMS symptoms. I start taking progesterone in a few days to return my levels to normal, he said it will greatly improve my moods, bloat, all that crap that happens before TOTM. Worth a shot. ((HUGS)) to you.

Hi to Leanne, Lainie and Emily.:)

I started my T3 script this morning, I hope it makes a difference I can really feel. We shall see. I am being closely monitored by my doctor, so I am crossing my fingers here.
I did not do my PM cardio last night, this week has been horrible program-wise, let me tell ya. I have barely hung in there with everything, so am not looking forward to my final talk with Mr. Trainer man, I will just be honest and let him know how this week doesn't count! The 11 weeks before do!

Mitch's daughter wanted to go get facials today, so we are going this morning to the Palms hotel to relax for an hour. I cannot wait, its been a year since I treated myself to a facial.:7 Then I am taking the boys to Carrot-top tonight at the Luxor...you all know how much I love that guy, he is really, really funny, and laughing is my favorite thing to do.:+ BBL to chat.

Whew. What a morning. First chance to sit a bit (though I must admit I did manage to squeeze in a couple Facebook Scramble games earlier--new addiction).

I'll try not to ramble on too much and attempt to keep it succinct. Missed Isaac's bus this morning so I had to drive him to school--no biggie except Ewan was wearing his Elmo slippers, so he couldn't walk--had to carry him in and out of school. Then went and got groceries. Just got done putting them away.

Yesterday I must have overdone it because my ankle was killing me by the time we got home from T-ball practice (I think Isaac will be one of those hopeless types picking flowers in the outfield, by the way). I guess the walking across town to get coffee yesterday morning, plus the walking around the park chasing Ewan last night was too much. Also, I did a teensy bit of lower body work yesterday when I did Get Ripped to the Core--thought I wasn't trying the ankle too much.

Where's Emily today? I wanted to tell her about my Harry Potter-esque dream. I was a witch and I got to fly and levitate stuff. It was one of my best dreams ever.

So today is a rest day--might do some yoga later.

Deb, hope you enjoy your time with the DH gone (sometimes it's nice to have them out from under foot, if it's only a short time ;)).

Robin, how are you feeling? Hope you're getting better today.

Jennifer, yikes! more snow! Hope it doesn't last long.

Shannon, good luck with the weather today. Sometimes I miss the rough weather we got in Texas, but then I read your message and remember it usually wasn't all that fun.

Shelley, sorry about the PMS. Ugh. And (((HUGS))).

Tneah, enjoy your facial. Ya know, I don't remember the last time I had a facial, if ever. Hmm. Probably doesn't count if you do a home facial with your sister.

Just double-checked yesterday's thread and ETA:
Deb, last night I uploaded those Jari worksheets to my blog. I really like her Get Ripped & Chiseled. That and the original Get Ripped are my preferred Jari workouts.

TK, thanks for the compliment about my avatar--I thought it just showed off my pale skin and large forehead. Also, maybe I should have combed my hair first--that's what it looks like when I let it dry naturally out of the shower. I just took the pic then because I like how I look in a white shirt.

Heya there Melters! It's almost Friday - put on those smiling faces! :D

I had a decent workout this morning - did 4DS Kickbox cardio, following by the Intermediate JumpSnap workout. The JumpSnap is pretty cool! The DVD that comes with it is kind of on the easy side, although it did keep my heart rate up after kickbox. I would like to try some of the more advanced workouts - I think it could be a really good workout. And it's so nice to be able to jump "rope" without whacking the darn rope on the ceiling!

I did have a little bit of an issue in my kickbox workout though - my piriformis started spasming. Uh oh. I'm going to have to be careful, and do extra stretching and tennis ball massage. It's not really bad, so I think I can nip it in the bud.

Deb, I'm on a cleaning/orgnaizing kick too. It feels great to throw stuff out and clean in all the little places that don't usually get cleaned!

Robin, what kind of bagel(s) did you have? I loooooves me some bagels. Especially from Panera. *drools*

Jennifer, we have snow in our forecast too. x( Not til this weekend though. Still. I thought winter was over??? What is wrong with Mother Nature??

Shannon, YAY for doing IMAX2 with no mods! :D I adore that workout - it's one of my faves. So much fun!

Shelley, tell PMS to take a hike! ;)

Tneah, I want to go to the spa with you! That sounds fabulous. I've seen Carrot Top live before - he is HILARIOUS! :7 Oh, and this morning my boss asked me to be one of the reps for my company at Mine Expo in September. That's in LAS VEGAS! So I'll be in your neck of the woods - maybe we can get together! :D

Lainie, I'm sorry about your ankle. :( Take it easy. And DO TELL about your Harry Potter-esque dream! I have to tell you about the Harry Potter dream I had once in college. I had just started reading the books and was totally getting into them. I went to bed one night after reading for a bit, and had fantastic Quidditch dreams. Then, I woke up and realized I was STANDING UP in my bed, with my arm outstretched, as if trying to catch the golden snitch!!! I am not a sleepwalker, so that was really bizzarre! :)

Guess what? The tornado sirens went off and we all got to take a nice little break down in the basement parking garage. Let me tell you, it was raining HARD, and it was nearly dark outside. I haven't seen that happen in a long time. All is well in this neck of the woods, though I'm seeing reports about more flooding in other areas of the state. I haven't heard any reports about tornado damage yet. Keep your fingers crossed that nobody got hurt!

Shelley - I understand your PMS is no longer raging, right? I hope you feel better!

Tneah - it sounds like you have a fun day planned! I hope your T3 kicks in really soon.

Lanie - you and that poor ankle! Do you wrap it? Maybe you should think about getting crutches to give it a better chance to heal.

Emily - I hope you caught that piriformis in time! How's it feel? I used to jump rope all the time, but I don't think I'd like it now, not after discovering step! I used to jump in my parents' garage - on concrete slab. Can you imagine?

Hi all. I didn't have to go into work after all. When I called, they were having a slow day and felt they could handle being short staffed. I did the grocery shopping, then came home and went for a short hike on the game lands near my house. I wore my hiking boots so I can get used to them before hiking in June. I'm going to try to convince my DH to go for another walk this evening. I don't think it will take much arm twisting - the weather here is lovely.

Shannon! That sounds scary. We had tornadoes go through a couple miles from our house one night about 20 years ago. We were out to dinner and didn't realize it until the next morning when there were all kinds of emergency vehicles parked near here and the roads were closed to non residents. Stay safe. I'm glad your calf continues to behave. I'm hoping to jump back onto the workout wagon tomorrow.

Emily, I had a mulitgrain bagel. Yum. Be careful with your piriformis. I wonder if your race set it off?

Lainie, sorry to hear your ankle is acting up. You probably should have iced it after all your walking, but if you are anything like me, there was no time.

tneah, if the nurse told you to stop the antibiotics and they were for prophylatic use, I'm sure that's fine. I just know so many people who get prescriptions for sore throats or infections and then stop when they feel better, which is a big time no-no. Ohhhhh, I love facials. It's been years since I had one. I won one in a drawing at my salon and loved it so much I paid for a couple more. I don't know why I ever stopped, they feel so good.

Poor PMS baby Shelley. We love you anyway. Feel better.

Time to go hold a crying baby. Lucky for me DD's SO's mom will be babysitting tonight. We get an evening off.

Hey everyone!

Just a quick check-in to say hi! Hope you all had great days today! I'll see you in the morning!
