Mekhi Isaiah is here!!!

Hey everyone! Well, on Sunday I finally decided to try castor oil b/c I was just so miserable and ready for baby to be here! My doc had told me that if I hadn't had him by 42 weeks they would start talking about inducing me and guessed the baby was already around 9 1/2 lbs and I just didn't want to go much longer and have the baby that BIG! Well, my hubby went and bought the oil at wal-mart, I took it at 1:30 and by 5:30 the contractions started out of nowhere and STRONG!!! I waited until 7:30 but DH said we needed to get to the hospital b/c I was in pain, we got there around 8pm and I was at 6cm. They gave me an epidural at 9:30 and I was complete around 11:45, started pushing and Mekhi was here at 12:15 am on June 12th. He is absolutely gorgeous, perfect, worth the wait! We are home, breastfeeding is going great, and YES thanks to the cathe workouts and staying active I am already about 10 lbs from starting weight!!! Unbelievable but feels wonderful! Thanks for all your kind wishes and thoughts! No more nagging from me!!!:D

It all sounds wonderful. Congrats!!! I am soooo happy for you. I could feel the euphoria seeping from your post;-) Sounds like it went fast, good for you. Isn't it amazing how all the misery is gone in a flash.

heather, that is wonderful news! i had really hoped after not hearing from you this week, but am so glad to know the baby came and you are well. i too want to know how big he is. his name is lovely. is it a family name, or something you all just liked?

glad you are home and seem to be so well.
 
So sorry! Meant to post that in the first message because we were so relieved that he wasn't as big as predicted- he weighed 8 lbs 12 ozs and was 21 inches! Big boy still but seems small compared to my first boy! Anyway, thanks for all the kind words!

P.s- his name is just something we liked, not a family name but me and DH both come from preachers homes and liked Mekhi (version of Micah) and Isaiah!

What are GREAT name!!! congratulations!!! I cant believe how many of us were preggo at the same time and now we all have our little ones. I will see you at the postpartum check -in.
