Max weight needed for Xtrain

I'm going to invest in some adjustable dumbbells. Right now I don't have to the space for more free weights. I've tried the Bowflex ones but did not love them. I'm thinking about getting some Powerblocks, but I'm not sure which ones are best. I've done a bunch of research, and am leaning toward the U33 with Stage II, but that only gives me up to 33 lbs. However, I'm not sure I'll ever need more than that (I don't think Cathe uses more than 35 lbs on any exercise from what I've seen in the user guide). I'm not super-fit, so I'm starting Xtrain to try to get back in shape (starting with the low impact rotation first). For a moderate fitness enthusiast who mostly just wants to get fit, what is the heaviest weight I would likely need for Xtrain?

I think 25 or 30 is more than enough. An advanced exerciser and pretty fit and the most I've used is 35

I agree. I have a pair of 40" dumbbells which I only use in STS . I don't see myself getting past more than #35 in X-Train.
If you had the set that goes up to #33 and you ever got the point that you wanted #35, it would be easy to just use the #2 weighted gloves.

My heaviest DB is 30lbs & if I am doing STS for back & legs I usually wrap 5lb ankle weights on my wrist.

I think 33 lbs should hold you for awhile. So far the highest weight I've used in Xtrain is 35lbs for one arm rows during Back Burnsets.

heaviest weight on stability ball?

I'm just about maxed out on space too with my dumbbells and won't be investing in barbells. I think I can make space for one more set of dumbbells. I don't have a regular size step or weight bench so do most of my chest work on my stability ball. My heaviest dumbbells are 20 lbs and I know I can go heavier, just not sure how much heavier given I'm working on the ball.

Does anyone have any experience here or suggestions? thanks!

I've done 25lbs on the ball with bench press & chest fly
