Massages

Do any of you have massages on a regular basis? I have been wondering if having regular massages aids in muscle recovery. I have only had 2 or 3 massages my whole life (loved 'em!) and I have been thinking that if they would help me in my workouts, I may invest the time and money to get them regularly. What does the educated crowd think?

I visit a massage therapist about once a month. I carry a lot of tension in my upper body & the visits really seem to help loosen me up. It's kind of weird that my legs (which I punish) are limber & my torso is so darn tight. The massages are certainly good mental therapy too.

Many of my friends prefer male therapists because they're stronger. I found a very strong woman & she can go as deep as I can stand. Your personal preference will determine what style of massage you'll want. I like deep tissue.
