i was thinking of you and your mum and thought i'd post. how are things going? please know you both are in my prayers

Thank you sooooo much for asking. my mom is o.k.. the cancer is in her periteneum(spelling) and her liver(stage 3). they also saw a small nodule on her lung but it is too small to tell. she is currently having chemo and has completed 2 rounds, the good news is that the cancer has not spread since chemo. we are going to have a petscan done after her next chemo to see if it is shrinking. i have to say that the dr,s are thinking that it may not have originated in the ovaries and for that i will tell every person for the rest of my life...if you are ever diagnosed with cancer, please,please have a petscan (this is a whole body scan) they only did an abdominal catscan so they only saw the ovaries and therefore treated it with 3 rounds of chemo when it reallly needed more. every time a person gets chemo it is less effective and now our chances of shrinking it are less than if we were more aggressive the first time. i so sorry to go on...thank you for you prayers and i will keep you posted. thankfully i am able to fit in my workouts so that helps me feel much better.

So sorry about your mother. You are right about the PET scan. I hope the chemo goes well for her and you get the results you are hoping for. I wish you strength, I know it is very difficult to watch...
