Good morning ladies..

I was up early this morning so that I could get my workout done. Just finished up Power Hour and HiiT 40/20...I was getting really tired during the Hiit workout...For one thing I am not really used to working out first thing in the morning. I like midday workouts usually. But, got alot to do today. Lauren and I are taking Buddy to the vet, then we gotta get back head to church since Lauren is volunteering to help pack up meals for the poor, and then head back to get to choir practice and church this afternoon and evening. Wow, glad I got to workout this morning...

Off to the shower and grab breakfast...

Wow Kathy! I don't think I could have done those workouts early either! (I am a mid morning exerciser). VERY impressive! Your Saturday sounds very busy indeed!

Guess Hottie got the title of thread killer and the cupcake prize yesterday! dangnabitt!!!!! I could just taste the pink frosting... . Sorry you guys are sick. You;re feeling better today? You make the most exotic sounding dinners. One day I need to show up!!

I feel like crap this morning. I'm trying to deny it. Got a headache, a foggy head, and feel so tired. I truly think it's something to do with TOM. I don't get it EVERY month, but some months just hit me like this. And today is the day. Joy joy joy. 3 boys are home, and much to do.

I'm hoping to get in a KPC premix. Including abs. I have to.

It is at least a beautiful day out again! Even nicer than yesterday!! I'm excited for nice spring weather, just wish my head felt better

Good morning! I thought I saw the cupcake posts last night, but apparently there was another! I'll have to go read it!

Kathy, way to go! It's funny how working out at a different time of day than you usually do really affects the energy level. Great job!! Hope your full day goes smoothly!!

Chris, sorry you're not feeling well, and sure hope it clears up by work time!! Good luck getting in that workout. Nice about the weather! We had rain predicted, but now it's just cloudy. We're headed up to the city (San Francisco, that is) late this afternoon (without kids) for a birthday celebration for Larry and a friend. I hope it's not raining for that! I also hope I have some energy. :)

I was supposed to do some BBL this morning, but I just wanted something different, so I did some mat work as a warmup and then a kettlebell workout. My legs feel really fried. We are headed to the school in a little while with our tractor, to remove a tree stump. I imagine the boys and I will walk the track / play while the work gets done.

Chris, that cafe scene with the famous characters sounded so fun, and I think kids really do learn better when they're allowed to put their own creative spin on the assignment like that. Great! Did anyone film it? That would have been fun. My friend films her son when he does things like that and then posts to youtube for her family (since they live in England). But, since my boys are friends with her son, they love to go on youtube and see him. It's pretty funny.

Oh, speaking of youtube.... here's a fun clip for the entire family:

ok, off to get ready......

You have a tractor?!? So cool...

So, I woke up uber early because I had a terrible nightmare (end of the world thing)...it freaked me out and I went back to sleep but now I'm running late again. I wanted to work out before I went out to Beverly Hills but we'll see. I had thought about doing IM2 but I don't think I can muster the energy/time for it. But first munchies!

Evee's allergic reaction is killing me though...poor thing is so unhappy. Joe -- can deal.

Kathy -- I'm a have been up for two hours at least exercise person. Now if I could shave some time off of that every day a little I think I'll be good shape. But I know what you mean about being exhausted.

Chris -- that's so funny you talk about it as exotic -- it's home cooking to me! Joe was all pissy too when I was pushing to get some fresh lamb but then when the finished product entered our mouths, it was heaven. But something is wrong with my pressure cooker. Maybe the seal is old...I hope you feel better before work!

Beth -- so why do they have to remove a tree stump. I'm in the process of trying to kill these chinese elm like things that are killing the walls/sidewalks. I have no clue on how to "remove" them. Just going to drill some holes and salt them to death... I wouldn't mind it if they were completely gone though.

nom nom nom...

Hey again...

Busy busy busy and feeling icky icky icky.

Did papers this morning with Zach. Like pulling teeth getting that kid going. EVERY Saturday, we fight. Ugh. And then he says to me, "Mom, if this is too stressful for you on Saturdays, I'll give up my job". *sigh*

Came home and did do KPC Premix #4 , I think. It was one intermediatte drill and then combo's 1 and 2 plus abs on the ball. 43 minutes for me. I thought it would make my head pain go away. I actually felt good WHILE I was working out, but the pressure is still there. Carp!

Beth: Hope the weather holds out for you today!!! Sounds like fun! You have someone to watch the kids so you and Larry can go alone? I'm jealous! LOL!. Have fun!... For Alex's play yesterday, the teacher started OUT by saying that, due to privacy laws, we could only take picturs/video of OUR kid only. I didn't even bring my camera. Plus I was in the back, and couldn't see great. It would have been fun to share though. .... Ah! Your favorite KB's! You haven't done those in a long time.

Hottie: Have fun in Beverly Hills today! It makes me think of Beverly Hills Chihauhau! LOL!. Maybe you could carry Evee in a big purse? ;) Sorry about your nightmare, I hate when that happens. I have reoccurent dreams about tidal waves. And they really freak me out.

*waves* to Joanne and Kathy... busy day for you girls!

Ok, I'm still sitting here laughing at Evee in a big giant bag in Beverly Hills!!!

Glad you liked the youtube video.... since our internet connection is still so flakey, my family has not yet seen it! I watched at work yesterday....

Yes, we have a tractor. We used to have two, believe it or not! Farm-living is the life for me!! There's a story with the stump..... it was a nice tree, but got blown over in a storm. Since it's right at the edge of the playground, they had to saw it down and remove it so kids wouldn't get hurt. Well, we decided it'd be nice to plant a new tree in memory of the little girl who died a little more than a year ago. So, at first everyone came together and wanted to help.... well, you know how it is.... as time goes on most people flake out and it was just one other guy there this morning with us. Oh well, we got it done. Almost. Have to go back tomorrow to build a box around it. It's a mulberry tree, which is very cool because every year the 2nd graders have silkworms and they eat mulberry leaves, so now we will have a really good supply of leaves!

Yes! We have secured child care. A friend and I do this for each other occasionally (we always say we should do it more often). They are pushing for a sleepover so we have a nice long time, but I'm not sure I can do that to them!! We'll see how late we are.

Oh! Of course.... the privacy laws! We don't really worry about that stuff at our school, since it's such a small community, though at the beginning of the year they do make us sign something that says we give permission for our kids to be in pictures, so I suppose they are covered that way. If anything bad ever happens here, it'll really blow up big (since we are tight-knit).

Forgot to report that after a big giant hug at the Travis & Dylan reunion, the first fight began by about 7pm last night. Ah.... back to normal. :):(

Ok, I'm starving for lunch.... off to see if my sandwich is warm enough....

LOL about Evee in a purse. I have seen people here in Pasadena push their rather large dogs in dog/baby carriages. At first I thought it was weird but then I realized that the dogs were older and maybe couldn't walk around as much anymore. She did come with us to Beverly hills. Joe walked around the area while I got purty. I did manage to do HiiT 30/30...which was plenty hard for me! I'm glad I tried to though...but now i'm even MORE scared of the other HiiTs. The facial was great -- much needed. They ended up not giving me the super fancy one that was offered ($375 treatment for $125) but one that did the job very well (microdermbrasion) for a lot less ($50 but I gave a big tip). It was a nice surprise to pay less but to be honest -- I would never pay their full prices.

I'm really freaking out about Evee...she's crying to the touch and she's shaking a lot but it looks like a lot of fear...

Poor Evee!!

Sounds like you had a fun time there with a good deal thrown in (which always makes it a good time for you, eh? ;)).

We had fun in the city last night. Crazy to drive all that way for dinner, but whatever. Good to see our friends. We ate at a wine bar, so the food was not very spectacular and way overpriced. :p But fortunately I didn't eat too much. Our friends had taken a bus to the restaurant from their hotel, and though I had my sites set on walking around and exploring a bit, they asked us to drop them at their hotel, so once we were in the car and going, we just drove straight home and were home by 8:30 or something? We could have gotten the kids, but didn't want to interrupt the sleepover (I guess it was actually 9ish), so we had a quiet night and still a quiet morning. Sure owe our friends!!! Oh, speaking of that, Hottie, maybe you (or your sister) could help..... that friend happens to be in charge of "science day" and is looking for Larry/me to do an experiment that'll wow the kids.... any ideas? I'll look through your sister's book. One really popular thing one year was "recycling" and they had kids make bracelets and belts out of some kind of trash -- soda tops, maybe? I can't remember -- they seemed cooler than that. If you call that science.....

I was going to do an upper body workout followed by a hiit (Hottie, I don't think any of the hiits are much harder than the others -- they are just different, don't you think, girls? They're all hard! :)). Well, so far I have done the upper body work. I did an odd mish-mosh of some 4DS upper body work, and followed it off with Squeeze Stronger upper body premix. My upper body is very fried now. We'll see if I can "squeeze" in some cardio, but I may just call it a day -- my lower body feels very tired.....

We're back to the school in a while to finish the tree planting stuff, and then our friends are coming here to make a dining room table. Have to work in laundry somewhere, too.... busy day!

Oh, Evee is bugging the hell out of me! I know she's in pain but if she could just learn to talk in human this whole thing a ton easier. After I posted, she was shaking and started to hide underneath our bed (which because we have a big(ish) house is the first time ever we don't have crap underneath our bed -- personal dream of mine come true). She wouldn't even come out for treats. She did come out for a midnight walk which Joe did. Around 5a, I saw her licking her crotch underneath our bedroom bay window so I grabbed my pillow and blankets and slept next to her on the floor to make her feel more at ease. Well, I thought she was calm enough after all the licking and petting so I tried to move around the hair where she has all her bumps to SEE what the inflammation looked like -- is it red, is it white and she just freaked and just ran underneath the bed again scared of ME. Why be scared of me? My bedhead isn't that bad?!?!

But seriously, I need to pull her out to give her more benadryl and food.

My day is a bit screwed. I wanted to do that half marathon experiment but I'm POOPED from staying up with Evee and we have counseling at 3 which put's a monkey wrench in when I could do it when I had full reserves. It's not that big of a deal to put off -- I just wanted it done by the end of the weekend. I guess I can justify it by getting a ton of work done at the house. I do need to drop by lab for 1hr experiment and I'm thinking about doing it BEFORE I work out but then when I come back I never get it in so we'll see...

Beth -- This may sound silly but as for wow -- when we used to deal with only boys we almost always had a series of "exploding" experiments because they like the shiny lights. Ahh...the suicide mission of the gummi bears (Don't ask). I do "upcycling" now -- where I take things and try to make new use out of them? Like I made this ghetto water container for Evee out of arrowhead 1L jugs which works great as a splash guard as well so water doesn't get everywhere but the one that people really love is me taking kitty litter pails and turning them into self watering containers for plants. Our garlic and onions are going to be huge. I don't ever have to think about them which is great. I can't describe how lame they look but they do the job really really well. In fact, kitty litter pails are surprisingly useful for a ton of things. I should ask our neighbor if he has anything left. But just because I was reading about for my own kitche, maybe something with distillation and infusions of the plants around to get extracts or fancy vinegars? Or is that too froo froo? I just love setting up for distallations...

the tree planting stuff has inspired me to get a new plant (and I set up a new self watering container so I want to see how it works on non veggies)! There's a garden center two towns from here (so 10 mins max on the freeway) that I want to try out. Maybe I'll use the free time brought about by canceling that experiment to do that. Also it's orchid week so maybe we can bring in our orchid that we're killing and see if we can stop it.

That sounds like you had fun at the wine bar! I guess those places are more about the experience than the food...I would rather go to a wine bar than a brewery which is often the favorite in westwood. blech.

Ok, time to munch -- I am HUNGRY!

ugh lost my post. i should get double cupcakes.

my ibs has been killing me all day. never went into work which I'm stressing out about. managed to get the non core work of MMA Boxing after a failed attempt at Athletic step. It was fun punching and using my arms a lot. evee is doing a lot better after bathing and rinsing and benadryl...i really hope she's almost all better tomorrow. for now, just trying to get housework done before the weekend is over...
