We are suppose to have a beautiful weekend here. It looks wonderful outside right now. Today is the last day of Slow/heavy with biceps/abs and then I will be doing Drill max premix #1..Housecleaning also on today's agenda!!

Supposed to be nice here too, Kathy. Upper 70's today!! We broke a record yesterday at 72. We're usually 45-50 this time of year.

Busy busy busy day. I'm going to go squeeze in S&H Biceps before we head out to papers. Not sure if I'll get in a cardio.

Happy weekend! Nice on the weather, eh? It's been gorgeous here, too. Everyone seems happier, right?

So, would you guys do the one muscle part per day week again? Did you like it that much?

I did a mat workout this morning -- love the way that stuff makes me feel!! Today's agenda is making cookies for the science fair... yikes, I know I'll be eating some of that.... and then I may try to sneak in a walk while the boys are there, or maybe if they want to play on the playground. I dunno, we'll see.

Meant to tell you guys.... when I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night I turned on a dr. fitness and the fat guy podcast with Jennifer Galardi on it. I had been dozing, so missed the beginning, but I heard her say "some of these people have 50 exercise dvds." And I'm thinking.... you ain't seen nothin', honey! She's obviously not reading vf forum.....

Finished up with today workout!! Time for lunch now then to take Lauren to choir...It is tough to go to choir when we have beautiful days like it is today..

Beth: I would love to do more rotations with cardio and one body part a day...I don't think I would want to do it every week. But, I love the way Cathe did it this month. I would like to do more like that in the future...Enjoy the park. We have been going everyday since Wednesday/ Love this weather..

Chris: Enjoy whatever workout you are able to squeeze in there...and I think we might have some record breaking weather days too..

Hi again!

It's been a very busy morning here! I'm pooped! I did manage to sneak in S&H Biceps. Gosh, my biceps felt like they were BULGING all morning!!

I did like this past week of one-body part a day. I might consider doing a full month of it in the future. I glanced over at the rotation forum, and Cathe has a good one. She lists the exercises , they're not from DVDs, and you do 3 sets of 12. And then add in cardio/abs. ... Fitness Freak also has one, she does from DVDs that looks very challenging!

Ive also been thinking , and really need to MAKE MYSELF take a full rest week after I finish up next week. I haven't had a true rest week since I was SICK in September. I've done the STS recovery weeks, but those had cardio in them every day (not easy cardio, either). Why does it make me anxious to do that? I'm nuts, but I need to. It sure would be the advice I'd give to someone else.

I know I'll end up with a rest week in June too, but really, it doesn't hurt to take one every 3 months. I know, I know.

Watch April Rotation come out and be sooooo good!!! :eek:

Kathy: It was hard to drop Jake off at his first communion retreat too. They are inside for the afternoon. baking bread, watching video, making their banners. ... But at least it's light out later , they can play outside when he comes back. Alex is now at a friends, and Zach went to a friends too! How did I end up alone???

Beth: Cookies! I'm a bad bad baker. I need to sample too. Hope you have a fun day and enjoy the weather . That is a riot. 50 DVDs . Wow. that's nuttin'!!!!!! Was she saying that was a bad/crazy thing or a good thing?

Better get some cleaning done while the boys are gone and I NEED to get outside too!!! Yesterday was amazing sitting in the sun in the backyard!!
 
Oh, a question too, Do you think Cathe meant for us to do LIC and then High Step Challenge (2 circuits) in a row next week?

I don't think I will....
 
Back from the science fair which was so totally amazing. Do I sound like a teenager? Honestly, I was so impressed with the kids and adults who were there sharing. A lot of (fun) geeks under one roof! And an ice skating rooster. Did I tell you that yesterday one of the rats escaped?

I ate way too much cookie dough and then cookies. Ug!! I knew that would happen. But they are out of the house now. The boys got all fired up on some 3D creation software called Blender. Unfortunately it's really too hard for them at this point, but we are going to see if "Blender for Dummies" helps. Then we did haircuts -- they so overdue! I cut so much off and now half of it's all over me (it feels that way anyway).

I'm so sleepy! Took a nap before we left, and then when we got home and the boys were "blendering" I fell asleep at the computer trying to read about it!

Oh, the 50 dvds.... she wasn't really making a judgement, but I could tell she thought that was a lot. Ha! I'm afraid to count mine.....
 
Hi sleepyheads! I was going to do KPC this morning but I woke up and my whole body ached, I'm so tired, so I decided to take a real rest day. Chris, on your recovery week thoughts..... if it's hard to take a whole week off, but you feel you need it, maybe just do pilates/yoga type stuff that you never get around to doing? Or, maybe you'll get a recovery week when you take a family vacation? Just some thoughts that popped into my head....

We are going to cirque du soleil today... this time, for real. Laundry and cleaning on tap before. Have a great day!
 
HI ladies...

Resy day for me. I am going to try and get to my stretch later this afternoon. I have to get to the grocery store and take Lauren to a friend's house. She is going over to watch New Moon DVD with her....

We just got back from a nice walk with the dog....Now lunchtime.

Chris: I am thinking that she put those workouts together because the weight work is not intense. I don't know. I am going to see how it goes tomorrow and then decide if I will switch it around. How are you muscles today? I am feeling some DOMS and I am glad today is stretching..I think a full rest week is a good idea now and again. After next week's workouts, there is almost a week before the next month starts. That would be a great time to rest....Enjoy alone time. I know I do since I hardly ever get it...

Beth: I am a sample baker too. I love to bake. But, I end up tasting too much. Glad the science fair was a success. Wow, I couldn't even tell you how many DVDs I own. I think I have more then 50 Cathe workouts?! HAHA

Thanks for the wisdom on the rest week. I just don't really FEEL like a complete rest week. My body isn't tired, I love my workouts. But that week is funky with March ending in the middle and the APril rotation coming out later. So maybe I'll do some running (short runs) and pilates/yoga stretches. That does sound good!

Gotta go make the bickering/whining boys some suppa! They are whining because the Greg is making them write "I will not hit my brother" 1,000 times before they can go outside. They WAILED on each other yesterday after supper. BIG time. Bad bad bad...
 
That's hilarious.... they're not really going to have to write it 1000 times, are they? When my boys are acting up like that, I make them go out immediately! :D

Went to the Ovo Cirque du Soleil show.... it was fantastic! Probably the best that I've seen (I think this was my fourth maybe?). Travis loved every minute. Dylan liked the funny parts the best.

Ok, I guess I'll gobble up all these cupcakes now!!
