Mama's Boys?

Okaaaaaay. Who's watching? I'm asking because I just finished watching the first segment and that one boy's mother is @#!&ing NUTS! I'm talking about the mother who said that for her son she "didn't want no black girls because that whole black and white thing (makes dismissive gesture with both hands)... No Asian girls, no Jewish girls because I can't stand them... I want someone petite who will do what I tell her..." And this was all said in a dvd interview all the ladies sat through.... stunned, horrified, and mad as Hell. Dig this: the racist mom is part Iraqi, one of the black bachelorettes (who was first to angrily confront her) is a highly-educated military nurse serving in Iraq, and one of the other 3 bachelor's is Jewish, as is his mom who doesn't yet know what's about to go down. When Crazy Mother finally showed up at the house she was greeted by all the women of color while the white women hung back and just let it roll. Yea, it got real ugly. Judging by the previews, this mother is going to get a huge wake-up call in front of millions of people. Really, I didn't know they still made people like her.

I watched and was appalled! What makes it even worse was when I saw where she was from-Washington Twp., Michigan. I live about 20 minutes away! Every time something horrible comes on tv, my DH and I look for a MI connection and lo and behold...

I think the mom is full Iraqi, married to a Polish guy and completely nuts! I'm sorry to say it reminded me of some family members when I first started dating my husband. I'm a first generation Serb, my DH is German/Polish, here for generations. People were shocked that my parents would let me "date an American", and not insist on marrying one of their Yugo mamma's boys who still lived at home, partying every night, treating women like dirt! I was talked about for bringing him around. Thank god for my mom, who let me do as I pleased-that "American" and I just celebrated our 11th anniversary with our 3 beautiful DDs

I can't wait to watch her make a complete fool of herself on national tv-or maybe I can.

I do the same thing! Every time they mention Columbus Ohio it's some idiot trying to run from the cops in a stolen car... with helicopters following his every move. Or it's a giant sinkhole or bizarre weather...

The only reason I watched is because I was too busy to switch channels. I just looked up when all the sickness started spewing from that woman's mouth. The one girl said something about looking around the room as they were watching her dvd'd interview and seeing the shock on the faces of the white girls (who all look like Playmates, I swear). She seemed to think she was imagining what she was seeing until she saw the wide eyes of shock on EVERYONE's faces. Now I'll be an addict because I've seen the previews (her in a helicopter, looking down into a hottub where her precious white son is having a very good time with a girl who's not white... she gets flat-out hysterical and starts slamming her elbow into the window... wow). I want to be there when her son puts his foot down for real. I honestly could never marry a man who's mother is that crazy and controlling, unless we moved far away and never had any communication with her.

Thank God for mothers like yours and mine!

I watched it. Jojo's mother left me & sad. Oh, and of course she is Catholic. Ay yi yi.

It should be an interesting show. I can't believe she her reaction to her son's fun in the hot tub. Speaking of the girl in the hot tub, I hope she is really interested in Jojo and not just going after him to yank momma's chain. I missed part of the show so I may have just missed her sincere expression of interest.

Actually, when all the women of color were pow-wowing, after seeing That Mother spouting her racist crap one of the girls came right out and said she was going to make a point of going after him. Then another said something about how she wouldn't punish him because of his loony mom... He's really cute and seems really sweet (though it's the firefighter I think is SMOKIN' hot...) so I don't think anyone's going to have to make themselves like the guy. I really couldn't believe her hysterical behavior in the previews. If I had a mother like that nobody would know because I wouldn't discuss her nor would I let anyone meet her.
