I agree with you. For most of us, doing just a few basic exercises doesn't cut it. I love it when mags like Cosmo or Glamour, say you can get a sexy bikini bod in 4 weeks by doing 3 days of cardio and just a few toning exercises - I wish!!
Anyway, mags like "Muscle & Fitness Hers", "Oxygen", and "Energy" (a fairly new one) are geared towards advanced exercisers. Some of it is for fitness pro types, but you can just ignore that stuff. Also ignore all the supplement ads. The bulk of it is informative on exercises, programs, and diet. However, it's a bit more expensive than Fitness.
Stores like "Barnes & Noble" and "Borders" have good fitness mag selections.
