Lurking no more - long

Hi All:

I've been lurking for a while and my Feb resolution is to participate, so here's my story....

I discovered Cathe on FITV and love PUB & KPC, which I taped and enjoyed until I accidentally taped over. Then got my credit card out and bought: Basic Step/Body Fusion, LowMax, LIC, PUB/PLB, KPC/L&G, SS/PP, SJP/SB & Cardio Fusion.

I've recently lost 14 pounds and have another 30 to go (wow - that sounds like a lot when I actually say it out loud!)

My biggest problem is consistency - both eating and exercising. I tend to have an "all or nothing" attitude and fall off the wagon a lot. I eat well *most* of the time and exercise 3-4 times per week. Plus golf, when the weather cooperates.

I really like "fitnessfreak's" Feb rotation (thanks for your hard work) and am making it a priority to follow it this month. I'm hoping I'll see good results and will be motivated to stick with it!

PS: my purse is a mess of wallet, phone, old receipts, lipstick, tampons and "to-do" lists that never get done!

Thanks for listening - I really enjoy reading all your posts and am excited to join in.

Hi Jasper! I am a lurker too! :) I've only recently got the guts up to post a little here and there. I've been working out to Cathe's DVD's for about a year now, but fell off the bandwagon big time towards the end of the summer, so totally know what that is like! Glad to see another "lurker" posting. :)

Robin-
There isn't a single post of yours that doesn't having me laughing out loud!

I am, I must admit, a lurker as well. I have been a Cathe fan since 2004 but find myself doing most workouts at the gym. I just can't seem to get up the motivation to work out at home. If I go home after work to exercise I always find excuses and other things to do. (i.e. "I'm too tired", "I should vaccuum", "my favorite show is on", "I need to start dinner", etc). On the weekends I tend to get most of my Cathe fix since (transportation wise) it's harder to get to the gym from my house than work. (I take public transportation-I live in a city). It's also hard for me to work out at home before work since I'd have to be up at 4am and I live on the third floor and don't want to wake up the people below me with my jumping around!
I mostly read and enjoy everyone's posts but don't respond much. I love everything that you guys have to say, though. You keep me laughing all day and keep me going!

"Welcome and don't let the perverted 40 yr old ax murderers scare you!!!"

Hey now! I'm almost 43!!! :p

Welcome! This is a great place, with so many wonderful women (and a few courageous men). It's almost as addictive as Cathe's workouts.

Congrats on the weight loss and we hope to see you posting lots!

Hi Jasper -

Welcome! My cat is a Jasper, too. :7

Congrats on the weight loss! I said on yesterday's "<--" thread that I'm one of the more portly Cathe-ites, :) but folks are sure friendly around here.

I've lost 9 lbs. so far this year thanks in no small part to Cathe and the great information gleaned from these boards.
