Lunges and weak calf muscles

Hi Cathe or the ED (since Cathe is busy with the new videos).

Lately when I've been doing static lunges, I have been experiencing a slight tightness and pain in my calf of the leg that in the back. Not so much a bad pain but as if the calf muscles is reaching fatigue almost instantly. It makes me have to stop the lunge and stretch, try again, start, stretch, repeat.

Could it be that I'm not doing proper form? Or using too much weight? Do I need to work more on my calf strength? I can't say I do a lot of lunges, they aren't my favorite, but as I have gotten stronger I like them more and more. Yet, despite me getting a little stronger, my calf seems to be the weak part now.
