Low Carbers & Friends - November 2010

Shadow

Cathlete
Hey, gang, can you believe it's already November ?????

I decided to go ahead and hit S&H another go-round since we're still having such moderate temps and it's not too cold in my exercise room yet .

What are you guys going to do this month :)?

Lita - I'm still sticking to the Turbo Fire rotation. However, this week may be difficult to stick to any type of rotation. DH's pop passed away Saturday, so everything is up in the air. I feel rather blah though because I ate very badly (too many of those carbs) yesterday and probably have not had enough water (too much wine and coffee) I know that a good sweaty workout would feel great, if I could get a bit more motivated.

I will try and stick to my rotation that I wrote out. I might have to repeat a week or two since I did not get to do my weekend stuff this weekend.

But on a brighter note....how 'bout them SF GIANTS!!! Whoo hooo!!!

Rhea - I am so sorry about DH's father :(! My thoughts are with you both. It's kinda hard to get motivated when you feel blah, isn't it ? Hopefully you'll soon feel better and be able to get your rhythm back :). Way to go, SF Giants  :p!

Rhea, I'm sorry about DH's dad. Did he suddenly take a turn for the worse?

Lita, I am finishing up the last week of Meso 3 and will probably go back to S&H. I have one more workout to go.

I looked on my workout log and DH and I have been biking 2 times/week for the past 2 months. I truely enjoy this new form of cardio, I love getting outside. It is an escape. Unfortunately, it is getting chilly, so I don't know how much longer this is going to last :(

OK, for work I submitted a Halloween costume DH helped me get into. I will attach it. Boy, ever since Rhea attached a picture, my world has opened up!

One of my co-workers lives in SF. She lives downtown and very close to the stadium. Tonight could be the night! Rhea, do you live there?

Hi Tracy, how are you doing?

Hi babes! Thank you for starting the Nov. thread Lita! I don't even want to admit that it's Nov. already!!

Rhea, I am so sorry about DH's dad. I know he had not been doing well, but I hope it brings you and DH some peace that he is in a better place now. And as for you working out 10 days in a row, you rock! I don't do that, ever! Is your current program with Chalene?

Go Giants!! Melinda, Rhea has gone to their games and I have been to one game there. S.F. is my old stomping ground and Rhea gets there now and then. :D And great Halloween costume BTW!!

Halloween is my division chief's favorite holiday. So it's a big deal to have a theme and decorate areas of the office. My area has an artist so we always have a great area! I will see if I can figure out how to attach some photos. I won't attach all 92 that I took, promise! :p

Lita, DH always has a nefarious thought or 2 running in his head!

We seem to be pouring buckets of rain here every other day. It's not cold though so I got tomato head working out today. Another Sharon Twombly workout. It didn't go so good I think. Had to pause alot after the cardio bursts. My workouts are a little up in the air because both bootcamp sessions were cancelled last week. I plan to go but if one or both get cancelled, I have to plan for something else. Makes it hard to stick with any rotation so I'm not!

Here's to another healthy week for us!

I tried to attach part of our Metropolis newsroom but I can't figure out how to get it here. Unless when I submit my reply it shows up. We'll see!

2 more photos, I promise I will stop after that! :p

This lion was our newspaper boy. We incorporate him in every Halloween in some form. :)

The kids came around 3:00, these 2 were my favorites. They are twins, and my boss's kids! They were garden gnomes.

Melinda - Great costume :D!!!! It's great you're enjoying that biking while you can - AND that you get to do it w/ DH for some time together !

Tracy - Wow - you guys really got into the holiday ! Awesome job! I think the nefarious thoughts are most likely part of his charm ;).

Tracy, great pictures. The kids were so cute!
I hate to say it, but I'm glad I'm not there, I would be there today, but don't really want to be in the rain like that!

Finished up Meso 3 yesterday and did ball ab work from B&G. So doing warm up, ab work and stretch was 1/2 hour. Then I vacuumed the basement!

Hi babes! Yeah, we get into Halloween at work so much that I get burned out with it! :p

Melinda, this would have been a great week to be here is turns out! We had the most gorgeous fall days yesterday and today and Seattle hit a record 74 degrees! It's really fickle here....

Well, bootcamp this fall was cancelled due to lack of interest and my friends and I decided to stop golfing until spring. So it's back to dvds exclusively! Fine by me, I was missing them and now I can actually do a rotation!

Have agreat and healthy weekend babes!

Tracy, maybe I can get there some day!

It is very cold here now, getting in the 20s. BUT, it's suppose to be in the 70s again this week, so bike ride, here I come!

I'm back to the S&H series. We should be getting the new dvds soon (haven't read, though).

Wow, what great pictures Tracy. Your office really does get into the Halloween. I still have to take our decorations down I guess. This week, sometime.

Well, back to more normal for me. I did not get to workout at all last week, so I am looking forward to the rotation this week. (I'll just do last week's) It will feel good I'm sure. Well, at least until tomorrow when I'm sore.

Lots to catch up with at work and home. Need to get the clean eating back on track. Have a great rest of the day.

Let's see if I can get house attached here, might not if it is the regular pixel size.

Hi babes! Enjoy that beautiful weather Melinda! I think ours is gone until next summer!

Rhea, I'm glad you are back, I know the past week must have been a very difficult one for you and DH.

Thanks for the photo of your house progression! I am so excited for you!

Took out 4DS and did HIS today. Haven't done those dvds in quite a while. I've missed them!

I haven't heard about a specific release date for Cathe's new ones yet. I don't think she did a Cathe.com email last week.

Tracie Long is releasing more dvds in January. Wow! I have no excuse to get bored!

Have a great week babes!

Rhea, great picture of the house. Looks like they're making good progress.

Cathe posted that they anticipate receiving the new dvds Nov 19 and will then ship out. I'm guessing that means we'll get them the week of Thanksgiving.

I've been doing S&H this week. Yesterday I did GS legs timesaver. That was nice. I used the bands and realized that my abductors and hamstrings have been ignored. Good news is that I think that workout did something to fix my leg. I will keep an eye on things and see.

Off to St. Louis for the day on Wed

You know Tracy, I saw that Ms. Long was giving us more and I haven't even been able to do the ones I have with the Turbo Fire and STS rotations. And now I have a bunch of them packed for moving....yeah, I know, anticipation of the dreaded house move....yuck.

Hi babes! Hope St. Louis went well for you Melinda! And that your leg no longer bothers you! I saw Cathe's email about the workouts--yippee! But being on the west coast, I will likely get them after T-Day.

Oh, yes Rhea, the dreaded move! When I finally get to move, I have haul stuff from our apt. and 2 storage units--can't wait. How far away miles-wise is your new place?

I don't keep up with new workouts when I'm doing workouts with the meetup group--took me forever to get to Tracie's last set of workouts!
