Low Carbers & Friends - January

Rhea - Okay - I'll give it another whirl but I still would rather have something cardio there ;). But knowing you liked it might just be the inspiration I need .

Tracy - Good for you doing cardio but I tell ya, I am so whopped by the cycles that until 4 weeks are up, my butt's a draggin'! I'm sure if I didn't get several walks in a week, that would be one thing but... Actually I'm thinking of repeating STS all over again just to get the rest weeks :D!

Hi babes! I can't believe it but I'm sick AGAIN! I was sick just less than a month ago! Grrrr. Am home from work today and no workout last night either--and was going to do the last disc for meso 2. Looks like I'll be doing that in my rest week, bummer! (Head cold.)

Lita, I cut down on the cardio during STS so I'm not overextended in trying to do everything everyday. So on my rest weeks, I try to make up some of my cardio loss! :p Did you try KB again?

Stay healthy babes!

Oh Tracy - I'm sorry you are home sick with a darn cold again. I'm home too, but because i'm pooped from yesterday's house work, DH's bd and company last night. I had a massage during that time, so no workout. I don't think I'll be working out today either since I don't want too...there...I'll do my last disc tomorrow.

Well, have a great rest of the day everyone!

Tracy - I am so sorry you're sick again :(! But I am glad you came to "see" us - it was getting lonely here all by myself! As for KB, no. I've been scrunching things into a 4 day week (other than walks) so maybe next week I'll try it again. I'm so glad I don't kill myself over cardio anymore - whether I'm doing STS or not. Not only is my mind happier, my achy joints are happier, too :p.

Rhea - Sounds like you were busy ! I think a day to "gather your strength" would be a great idea ;).

Hi Everyone!

I posted a few days ago and it didn't save, computer shut down in the middle, ended up being a worm/virus that distroyed my computer. Had a guy out and he could not fix it. It was my work computer no less! I had to send it back and they had to send me a new one. Talk about embarrassing. The computer guy was able to save my files and find the source of the virus, it was from DH helping me find a new driver for a new monitor. DH felt awful as this is my career and our income! I was afraid to tell the owner, but it couldn't be avoided. He said it was ok, that I'm not the first that this has happened to.

So, I"m on the second week of Meso 2. Boy, those push ups are annoying me this time through and I got in a mood and stopped doing them toward the end. I am also doing the cardios. I love the Hiit pyramid workout, Lita, I think you said your friend liked it the best. Well, I do too! I thought it wouldn't have any rest except the 1 min. part, but it did. I guess you just have to try it. No step is involved. I just wish all those Hiit workouts weren't about 100% jumping.

Today I did the Boxing one, love that workout! I also am getting the steps down on Athletic step pretty good. I am so happy to have these shorter cardio workouts. That combinded with walking when it gets warmer is perfect for me.

I am headed to Santa Cruz, CA on Tue. Will work there on Wed. and also at Capitola, CA. 2 back to back health screenings. It will be a long day, but I'm looking forward to going to CA, even if it's just for 2 days. It will be a little adventure!

Will try to check in more often, this past week has been a technology nightmare for me, also had to wipe and reset my work blackberry as they upgraded things. Of course, it didn't go smoothly for me!

Tracy, I hope you feel better soon.

Melinda - How wonderful to "see" you again :D! What a pain computers can be, huh? I am so sorry that happened :(! I understand feeling badly but if you needed a driver for the monitor, what else could you have done ? I am with you on the push ups - I've felt that way both times I did STS ;). As for Hiit, I'm with you - it would be much better if there were some lower impact drills instead of constant jumping. Ah well - we always want something else, don't we ? Or at least, I seem to most days ....

BTW - I just started a February thread herehttp://www.thecathenation.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1980760#post1980760 .
