I personally thought this 47 yo man was worthy of a little more recognition so I'm posting a link to his story. I love stories about the human spirit rising above (pardon the pun)...can you imagine how he must have felt reaching the summit?

Melody! I hadn't seen this! Thank you so much for sharing! I have climbed (okay hiked) some 14,000 foot mountains and can tell you it's tough. I cannot imagine climbing Everest, ever. This guy is incredible. I'm so happy for him!

Thank you. My brother is a paraplegic who hasn't reconciled himself to it even after five years. To see people like this guy overcome such obstacles is really, really inspiring. And it gives me hope that one day my brother will find something that really inspires him.
