Lopsided...

Cathlete
Hi everyone,

I posted this in Ask Cathe as well, but I thought while I wait to see if she has a chance to respond, I would ask the educated crowd as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed that my left bicep is not as large or defined as my right.x( I lift the same weight for both sides and can finish the exercises for both sides. So what is the best way to get the left side to catch up with the right?

Thanks,

Linda

I have the same problem. My right bicep is a 1/2" larger and more defined than the left. I was told to start doing an extra set on the left arm to help catch it up. So far I am seeing a little improvement, but the right one is still definitely stronger. Since I favor that arm (I am right handed), it will probably always be a little stronger. I think doing the extra sets on the left side though will help build the definition up so that things look less "lopsided". :)

Thanks Liann. Fortunately Cathe was on the boards today and responded to my post. She also made that suggestion. I also think that after a barbell exercise, when I switch to dumbbells I'll try starting with the left and make fight through the fatigue. I usually start with my right, which gives my left a chance to rest.

Donna, you are just too funny! Your response made me smile :), thanks!;)
