Looking for Organic Wheat Germ

WRITER

I've been looking for organic wheat germ in all my local organic stores, and I even googled it -- and so far I can't find any. Does anyone know where I can buy some?

I haven't found it anywhere either. Seriously, what gives? It makes no sense. Not King Arthur, not Bob's Red Mill, nobody. I even tried local co-ops and natural health food stores. Nobody has an organic wheat germ. They have organic whole wheat flour, but not organic wheat germ.

I think it's really weird that they don't make it. However, I make all my own bread from flour I grind myself, and it's hard for me to find superpails of organic wheat. About half the time I settle for regular. Maybe it's a supply and demand issue. I get some satisfaction that at least I get all the organic germ in my flour, but I still like to add it to other things.

Thanks for your replies RapidBreath and Natalie. It doesn't make sense to me either--since you've got to grow the whole grain organic to get organic flour! Well, maybe it is just a demand issue; it may not be worth competing with the other brands of wheat germ.
